  1. Where is Hari Singh Nalua when you need him. are the afghans meant to be great warriors? or is this just a myth due to their history
  2. He is not a Sikh in any sense of the word. He is neither a "apna". He is not even a leader. He is and is only, will only ever be a "alternative" But anybody who calls him a idiot is stupid. Because an idiot is not. Indias success is down to his work as a Finance Minister under the rao government back in the 90's. The policies he introduced have not been touched (well not 100%). So he is very intelligent in the worldly sense. You have to remember, the position he is in, he really can do anything, even if he wanted to. I was watching this program on CNN (I know), where they were interviewing Sonia Ghandi and Manmohan Singh, they indirectly said that they expected this (bad reaction of pro-hindu groups to go against her) to happen and that she knew she could not be the PM of India, hence Dr Manmohan Singh was ready for the "front of house" role. So not an idiot, but neither he is a Sikh. Do you honestly believe a Sikh in full Sikh attire will win if he really ran for election? come on guys wake up.
  3. She writes "oang", isn't it "Ik Oan Kar" Why the "g" In the couple (5 translations/expansions of Japi Ji Sahib), they have always said it like "Ik Oan Kar", you don't hear the "g". Could somebody please clarify this? Also, can you put this in a pdf?
  4. Interesting conversation. Thank you. I liked Maskeen Ji's advice. So, will Panjabi wrestling kick off like WWE? does anybody know any wrestlers, like famous ones? I have met Dara Singh plenty of times when he comes over to the UK
  5. Totally agree with you. He isn't a "gurdas maan" beater yet, but his two albums which I have heard are excellent, I like track number 1 from Sartaaj called Sai, lovely song, infact all of them are very good. Track number 2 is beautiful, and the third one, where he is narrating while singing about the little girl...oh and the last track. I see him as a combo of gurdas maan and hans raj hans, great voice like HRH and got talent in writing his own work (although Gurdas Maan in a interview did say his wife writes all his songs)... But my fav is still Hans Raj Hans, his voice is just amazing. For Silence - Stop being a bigot. His dress is not Sikh, its Sufi Panjabi, which is totally different. Ever heard of greats such as Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah, etc. BUT people in panjab still are addicted to that cave man type music, where they are screeming instead of singing, i.e. miss pooja, chamkila, etc....These songs make me cringe, disgusting lyrics and terrible way of singing. Did anybody record his interview? if anybody wants his album pm me.
  6. I am asking you for your view, as per your own research and experience. isn't this the whole idea of a forum, where people come to discuss, debate, learn, etc so far you haven't really done that, apart from re-directing people to the Gita. oh well, its upto you. Thank you for your replies..
  7. People brush alot of things past them and not just "conspiracy theories". I am the type of person who doesn't blindly follow the crowd. You see I can say the same thing about Fluoride affecting the Pituitary Gland, that’s not actually proven. What is proven and has been documented is how the SS used Fluoride to make the prisoners easy to control as the chemical made them slow thinking/responding in WW1 and 2 when they gassed the Jews. Now that’s Proof and not just a theory. It has also been proven in labs that fluoride causes cancer in rats, well you might think nothing of it, but before drugs are put onto to the market, they go through a series of tests, animal testing and even human testing. In animals, rats are considered to one of those animals which closely resemble out anatomy. Like Fluoride, Chem-trails are a reality and not a Conspiracy theory. On that note, the names that I dropped, if you research their research you will see that’s its not a Conspiracy at all. Here is a conspiracy theory, a man launched an attack on the worlds most powerful military nation, caught them off guard, all from a cave and he is still alive and still evading them. Maxwell Igan has written a book, which again is all researchable
  8. Thats the problem David icke has created for himself, he went all out, guns blazing in his earlier talks, but if you watch his material now, he has calmed down... I stick with William Milton Cooper, he never said anything without proof to back it up. Everything he has ever said he had said with proof. He always said, don't believe me, don't ever believe me, go and research for yourself. Thats the problem with most people, they are not bothered with the facts.
  9. Have you experienced this? How do you know this for sure? Gurbani? Katha? etc..
  10. Until FACEBOOK themselves do something, which they NEVER do, you can sign all the petitions you want. It is so easy to setup up stupid sites on facebook, myspace, etc. Just look at Youtube and the rising number of anti-sikh channels. I have signed the petition, but I believe that legal action needs to be taken agains Facebook, that site is out of control.
  11. Correct me if I am wrong Amardeep, from what Sarbatdapala said, the Gita says that there is the Supreme God Soul, which is God and then there is us, the "normal" soul, but due to this layer of Maya, we never merge? Lets say for arguments sake that there is an individual, who has lead a perfect life, has broken the cycle of birth and death, dies, their soul will not merge with the God Soul, but just be with it. So you have the creator and its creation, as two separate entities, they never merge, like we have been hearding in Sikh Kathas? I think Islam also says that the creation never merges with the creator, they are two separate entities. I have read that the soul is located in the middle of your brain, if you take a line from the front of your forehead and the top of your head, where they meet, thats where it is.. Maybe (Amardeep) or anybody else here can give us Gurbani's perspective on this subject? Thank you.
  12. This group will say this and that group will say that, in the end, they never agree. So stay away from these groups who claim to have the key, because they don't. Heaven and Hell, like Guruka Singh said in his video, is a state of mind. You either live in LOVE or FEAR. Check out this video. I have heard from a few people that say Khand is an actual realm, like another universe. Some say it is the HERE and NOW and the choices we make give affect to the creation of that realm. Jap Ji Sahib Ji talks of 5 Khands, the final one being Sach Khand or the realm of Truth, this is where the SOURCE, LORD GOD, CREATOR, ALLAH, WAHEGURU, ISHVARA is. http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Five_Khands Now are there 5 different physical realms. I don't know, because I have not first hand experienced them myself. If anybody here has, please SHARE. In the end brother, the only way to find out for sure is to do it yourself, live in LOVE, do naam simran, live a honest living and help the needy. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is unique, because Guru Ji gives us first hand experiences of Bhagats, Fakirs, etc who have finished the game so to speak, merged with God, etc, whatever you want to call it. They done it through LOVE and Devotion. you are given all the tools, its upto you to pick them up to use them. Reading Reading and Reading will only get you so far......... About the 7th heaven thing, that is a reference to the 7 layers of atmosphere around the Earth. Actually there are 5 main layers, two additional are called Ozone Layer and magnetosphere. (I think, need to check my brain again for that). BUT, there are more........ There are pre-islamic/christian/judaic/vedic records (older than 5000 years) which talk about the 7 layers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmosphere_of_Earth AGAIN, what has this got to do with YOU and your GOAL.
  13. Dr.Zakir Naik will only promote Islam and only Islam. Asking him or seeking an answer from his talks will only confirm what Islam is saying. That also goes for the website which you quoted, which is pushing forward material to promote Hinduism. Just browse down on that website and you will see from the links their obesssion, where they have trolled through Gurbani just to justify themselves. i.e. http://www.aykaa-mayee.org/ www.adishakti.org/ www.al-qiyamah.org/ www.adi-shakti.org/ — Divine Feminine (Hinduism) www.holyspirit-shekinah.org/ — Divine Feminine (Christianity) www.ruach-elohim.org/ — Divine Feminine (Judaism) www.ruh-allah.org/ — Divine Feminine (Islam) www.tao-mother.org/ — Divine Feminine (Taoism) www.prajnaaparamita.org/ — Divine Feminine (Buddhism) www.aykaa-mayee.org/ — Divine Feminine (Sikhism) www.great-spirit-mother.org/ — Divine Feminine (Native Traditions) So, with that in mind, I don't see them as credible sources of information, read them, but don't hold them as a rule of thumb.
  14. I don't fully agree with Jattboot. Saying Gurbani assumes, I think could be wrong? (the question was meant for you (amardeep), lol) I do agree that reincarnation is not a topic central to Sikhi, its more about establishing that link with God, but knowledge of it does make us aware of the cyclical nature of the world and how to break this cycle. Going back to the OP question, which I have split up as follows I would appreciate it if members can correct me if I am wrong. http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Reincarnation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reincarnation Reincarnation means being born again simply, as we can read from links above. From what I have read and understand, you retain your good and bad karma, which is made up of actions, deeds, thoughts, etc, etc. The Good you do and the Bad you do, directly and indirectly. Like plus and minus points, you carry these over each time you are re-born. Abit like a credit card debt, it keeps on rolling over and building up, you can do good by paying it off, but how? Some even say that by doing meditation, you can even retain knowledge of your past lives. This is where research comes into play, which you have to do yourself, you won't find the answer to this on a internet forum. There are many documentaries done on reincarnation, where a child suddenly remembers their past life and how they were killed, etc. Experts claim that using deep hypnosis methods you can sometimes access details of your past lives. I remember listening to a katha my Giani Sant Sing Maskeen Ji, where he was telling the sangat about a Muslim guy who had recovered memories of his past 9 births, he knew where he lived, his Mothers names, etc, etc. This was done through meditation or bhagti. There are scientific reports which report on such phenomenons, going back 150 years, and some accounts, which are "stories", well there are plenty of them. They even have reports which study the mind while it goes through different stages till when it reaches Samadhi.... Yes, you have to do Naam Simran. But just Naam Simran isn't enough, you need to prepare yourself, your mind, yourself for that journey, and don't do it just to prove it to yourself, do it to gain FREEDOM from this life. i.e. Mukhti.
  15. I have an answer, but I will wait for Amardeep veer ji to reply first
  16. Without re-directing me to another website or book. Can somebody "here" explain in laymans terms what "the rising of Kundalini" is? Thanks.
  17. So, you are saying that Gurbani can't explain the concept or explains it in a difficult way?
  18. Sat Sri Akaal, I been wondering about this for sometime now. How does one know that they are on the right path to having a connection being established with Waheguru (or whatever names the lord has) As per Gurbani, are there any hints of Signs which we might see or hear or feel? Surely Sat Guru Sahib has given us path and the signs which we will notice when we are on the right path. This is a serious question, so please, in all humblessness, lets keep this interesting.
  19. Here is another question, why didn't The Sikh Channel or more over Davinder Singh Bal work together with the guy who originally came up with the idea. I have been watching Sikh Channel from day 1 and my first thoughts were "what the hell is this", anybody who had watched it in the beginning knows what I am talking about. The Sikh Channel, even though it is a Charity, (although I have a feeling he didn't want it to be one, but it was, sort of forced into becoming one, as they were taking donations via direct debit's), everything is, by their own admission paid for by the Sangat who is supporting that channel, their programmes, etc, etc. Which is Excellent. Yet, after every single programme, the executive produce is not "The Sikh Channal Sangat", its Mr Bal. Then they had that stupid meeting, ever so stupid, made them look like big stupid cry babies, that "oh look there is another sikh channel starting, which has Indian Government/Congress support, they will try and polute your childrens minds, so come give us more money". They even had people go on Sikh Forums and spread lies. I mean, come on, how pathetic can you be? I don't believe the Sikh Channel will ever work with Sangat Trust, or anybody else, because its all about "WHO IS IN POWER", who is leaving a lasting legacy. Its like Gurdwarey, There is only one Guru, yet so many Gurdwarey are popping up, committe member has a fight, they go and start their own Gurdwara, why? Money, POWER, NAME. These are the same people who are behind the channels, they don't care about the Gurdwarey, you really believe they will do anything different with a TV Channel? I would love a situation where they would put their egos aside and work together, will this happen? Look at our Gurdwaras in India, that Jatherdar doesn't like that Jatherdar, what a bloody joke. Do they "care" about the so called Panth. This pattern is seen in Gurdwaras, Sikh Beliefs, AKJ, Snatan Sikhs, Taksalis, etc, etc. Answer is NO, because they are not Sikhs, simples. At the end of the day, its only a TV Channel, nothing more. We only need Sat Guru Granth Sahib Ji and thats it, everything else is a waste.
  20. actually they were ismaili muslims thats what I read and also found, from what I have researched, the mogols or Hulagu Khan didn't completely destroy them. Their "system" by which they grew ever so powerful still exists today, it was later adopted by the knights templars when they met their (hashshashins) founder during the 11th century. They were amazed by the loyalty of the followers who would do anything for the leader and brotherhood. Remember the thuggee of India.
  21. Hitler also believed in a "Aryan" race. I have read on a few sites that the Aryans can be traced back to the "mountain people", who were the ancient phoenicians. Read up on madame blavatsky and the seven root races of the world. the current british royal family has its root in ancient egypt and they can trace their bloodline back to "abraham".
  22. Interesting threads. Have any members here heard of Carl Gustav Jung? and his "Red Book". Mind Manipulation techniques increased during WW1 & WW2, after the war, majority of the SS, Nazi scientists who were believed to behind the success of Hitlers "brain washing" of Germany were secretely flown over to good old US of A, so that they could continue thier work. Government = Govern - To Control, Ment - The Mind. Has anybody heard about the "Hashshashin" from which the world "assassin" is derived? From what I have read and understood, the guy (ali hassan) who started this secret brotherhood learnt his "brain washing" technquies from a secret egyptian brotherhood. He basically built a "mini" paradise, rivers of wine, beautiful women, etc, the whole works. What he would do is while you were eating your food, drug you, then move you to this paradise, place himself as a "god", have the women seduce you, etc, then drug you again and then you will wake up in your bed, believing it was a "vision". This way, he recruited thousands of men who were dormant, doing normal jobs, and then at his command will do anything. If he commanded you to jump from the top of the cliff, you will do it, because you know that after death, paradise will await you. These assassins where also hired by the rich to kill off their enemies and they always got the job done.
