Gurfateh!!
Veer Ji, i am 100% sure that GNNSJ understands the value of these priceless artifacts.
With regards to the SGPC officals its appalling to hear what you have said, hopefully not all are like that. However with regards to these pieces, they are being kept in storage for meanwhile.
They were not torn off they were removed with utmost respect, and are being looked after. When you say damaged beyond repair, they may not appear it but what you must remember is after all these years the copper underneath the guilding is extensivly corroded on most panels. It does not make sense to use a few old panel which can be repaired when the rest od the panels are brand new and made with the best possible purest materials available and the best craftsmanship one could find.
The jatha did not say that they were 'cremated'/ burried. They have been kept safely and im am extremely glad these pics are up to also expose rumors of them disappearing.
The Jatha is not planning on building a replica Harmandir Sahib, thats pretty absurd  Im not quite sure whether they will be housed in a museum but for the meantime the panels are being kept safe.
The stickers on there are not from vikrams sticker store and they do not contain acids which are eating at the guilding or copper well thats the best i can say with my limited knowledge on the active ingredients of stickers
And lastly veer ji GNNSJ do give a crap, the reason they undertake all these seva's is because they care about our history and keeping historical gurudwareh in tacked which is what the sgpc has failed to do.
It is only after someone has tried that people criticise. In this world nothing can ever be done without criticsm, which is a good thing if constructive. Where were all these experts before why did they not offer help when the seva started the Jatha would never refuse seva from anyone. If all the experts decided to help instead of just sit back and then criticise then the seva could have been 100x better.
Anyway i am not an official spokesperson for GNNSJ, but just wished to give the otherside of the story. I hope this has helped to clarify some myths.
Bhul Chuk Maaf!
