  1. "(mod-cut) such as urslef dear sir bring shame to the khalistan movement.stop being a (Mod-cut), u have absolutely no clue, you chat random (admin-cut)" I have to admit, that was so eloquently said. With a mouth like that, son, you must be a true GurSikh. "u bring shame to their name and panthic unity" Really....I'm bringing shame to 'their' name and panthic unity? Acha? U (and everyone else) wanna see shame to the Sikh name and Panthic unity, I suggest you check out 2 websites: 1)Sarbloh.com 2)Shastervidiya.org U can cus me out all u want...it's all good, I'm a maha moorakh anyway, I'll admit that. But maybe after havin a look at those 2 sites, u might wanna think about who ELSE u should curse out in the name of Panthic Unity. Jus some food for thought, eh! And to Double_Edge, I'm sorry if you can't figure out the point of this thread...to tell u the truth I can't really see the point myself. It kindda started off as one thing and turned in to something....else. Sorry about that. Hey "Sher' Sahib, according to u....I "have absolutely no clue." OK. Fill me in then, partna. Bhul Chuk Maaf
  2. this is a post from a Veer that just got back from visiting Sri Hazoor Sahib Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ke Fateh. To all my brothers: I'm just back from my first ever trip to Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib. I still saw those Hindu style rituals being followed over there. Just wanted to find out why they exist and found this mailing list. I saw that Bhai A Singh is interested in knowing 90% hindu rituals followed over there. Here is the list. Pls see if we really its not what Sikhi Taught, then can't we correct it. 1.There really *mandir* style arti that is performed over there. Amazingly they start with hymn from Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which talk about to Gagan being Thal and Suraj being Deepak. 2.Poojari jee take arti close to sangat and sangat rush to be revered by Arti. 3. Also Mandir Style Bells are used inside the Gurudwara during some rituals which I didn't understood. 4.In morning, Poojari ji make Chadan paste, which is then applied on the foreheads. Also Coconut is offered to Guruji. 5.When poojari move out of two savedar help push sangat aside, so that he can move. And poor people kneel down or even lie down to his feets. 6.In case there is some VIP guest during arti hours. Then some baba comes for some special blessings. Was not able to find more about the Baba Ji. 7.Bang is very much avaiable inside the Gurudwara Campus. But I feel thats very common practice among Nihang singhs. Nothing specific to Sri Hazur Sahib. 8.In Azaib ghar I saw I painting where Guru Gobind Singh Ji is seen as swaroop of Sri Ram. Call it avtaar. 9.Usually the room inside the Gurudwara sahib called Angitha Sahib is closed. Was not able to find a convincing answer Why? There is high degree of secrecy. They usually keep it locked during the Day. In evening when it was open by Poojari Ji (who sole has access to it) and people started shouting "Guru Ji is coming out". I was astonised and asked the person who told you that Guru Ji is locked? 10. Similarly near to MaalTekri, there is Dargarh of fakir who took care of "Treasure" that guru Ji kept safe with him. Some 9th Generation of the Fakir maintains the Dargarh. The contribution of the Fakir, generate respects for him. But people started bowing there head down on Dargarh and even I heard people that its important to visit Dargarh as it will fulfil you wishes. Some said a visit to Dargah is helpful if you have Joint paint. These are few things that I noticed and that bothered me. I extermly sorry If I saw things in wrong light. I'm nothing more than a kid as far as I knowledge the Sikh history is concerned. I only understood basic principles of Sikhi as dictated by Japji Sahib and Rehras Sahib. My knowledge is really limited. So if some knowledgeable person can shed some light on this, it will be helpful.
  3. -Great post about Sri Hazoor Sahib and Bipar Hindu Influence "ALL the KHALSA JI were BUSY fighting in the JUNGLES...and DESERTS...while the RSS ( BRAHMINS) had a filed day CONTROLLONG ALL our GURDWARAS and GRANTHS as well. Thats when they changed all our MARYADAS and GRANTHS to suit their HINDU beleifs....in the 17th - 18th centuries... LONG BEFORE BRITISH RAAJ came along... Every SIKH was in HIDING and sikh heads were being SOLD for a price.... so the only persons who were in charge of our gurdwaras were Nirmalas, sadhs, MAHANTS etc who were heavily BRAHMIN. This is precisely why the SINGH SABHA MOVEMENT began in the 1920's to REVIVE genuine Sikhi and CHASE OUT the HINDUS from our GURDWARAS and REMOIVE the MAHANTS.... SGPC came in durign this time after many many sacrifices and morchas... Unfortunately all this happened ONY in PUNJAB...Hazoor sahib and Patna Sahib being away from PUNJAB ESCAPED ATTENTION...and continue thier BRAHMINISED maryadas till this day. Are you aware that the Harimandir sahib Parkirma was CHOCK FULL of HINDU DIETIES STATUES until the Singh sabha Lehr and SGPC came along and threw them all OUT.... The RSS/GOI is not a "new" thing as you beleive.....it is THOUSANDS of YEARS OLD.....and this is what swalloed BUDDHISM....and now has its eyes on SIKHISM."

  5. Mini-Khalistan in Burail Jail Chandigarh By Mahinder Singh ChachraRi These slogans are constantly echoing in Chandigarh’s Burail Jail: “Khalistan Zindabad! “ “Raj Karaega Khalsa!†“Bhindranwala Sant Sipahi Jinay Sutee Kaum Jaigaiee!†(Bhindranwala the Saint Soldier who woke up a sleeping nation). “Bhindranwalay Dee Soach Tay Pehra Diangay Thok Kay!†(We will stand firmly with the ideology of Sant Bhindranwale!). “Jo Singhan Naal Takraigaa, Choor Choor Ho Jaigaa!†(Those who oppose the Singhs will be crushed!). “Na Hindi Na Hindustan, Lai kay RehNaa Khalistan!†(Not Hindi nor Hindustan, we will only rest after taking Khalistan!). It is here that some Singhs associated with the Sikh Struggle have been kept prisoner by the Indian Government and have made a “Mini-Khalistanâ€. The Singhs rule here. From the Beant Assassination trial there are Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, Bhai Navjot Singh, Shamsher Singh, Naseer Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Lakhwinder Singh Lakha along with his wife Bibi Baljit Kaur. In total there are 15 prisoners here who have completely exasperated the jail staff and officials. Bhai Sahib Bhai Jagtar Sigh Havara and his companions who escaped from the prison at night on January 22nd, 2004, have also ruined the sleep of the Indian Government. Despite the fact that there are many other Singhs being held in India’s other jails, but the situation in Burail Jail is not like any other. It is the same situation as Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda and Sukhdev Singh Sukha had created in 1990-91 in Poona Jail, after which they were executed. From 1996 onwards, everyday, the Ardaas for the achievement of Khalistan is heard via the loud speaker, which was the achievement of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who used legal channels to get permission for this. The Singhs completely control the Gurdwara in the jail. Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who punished the evil Chief Minister Beant Singh, who had inflicted unspeakable atrocities upon the Sikhs, was also about to punish the butcher KPS Gill when an informant had him arrested from the Jalandhar Bus Stand. After severe torture, in 1996, he was imprisoned in Burail Jail. In Burail Jail, all the Singhs pledged to carry forward the struggle for Khalistan under the leadership of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and also made the government machinery accept defeat. It was to such an extent that they refused to go to outside courts and the officials were forced to have the court in the Jail. Bhai Sahib’s demeanor in jail was so warm and friendly that all the staff loved him. The staff members treated him like a family member. On every Sangrand, Bhai Sahib used to make kheer in the Gurdwara and it was so loved by all that even after his escape people still recall it. While Imprisoned, Bhai Jagtar Singh had taken a vow in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib that in whatever circumstances, he would leave the jail and move the Sikh struggle forward. Bhai Sahib is still committed to this goal. After escaping the jail while shouting jaikaray, he has now started a new organization, “Babbar Khalsa Commando Forceâ€. This organization will continue the struggle until Khalistan is achieved. Because of Bhai Sahib’s magnetic personality, some of those people are joining the movement who once were opposed to it. Besides foreign countries he is also receiving support from the Punjab as well. Those Singhs who have spent time with Bhai Hawara say that he is not one of those people who would turn his back on the movement and run away. He himself has attached many of those people to Sikhi and taken many anti-Sikh people and put them on the correct path. Bhai Sahib wants that the next generation of Sikhs, who have been attacked on all sides, should establish a Sikh Media (TV Channel) in which the goal of independence can be openly discussed and they can be liberated. He also desires that a common front, under the leadership of Akal Takhat Sahib be created by all Dharmic Jathebandis to preach in the villages. After doing the Sangat of such a person, the Singhs in Burail Jail have created quite the problem for the Jail officials. In the Singhs’ barracks, discussions on moving the Sikh Struggle forward are done openly. The pictures of Sikh heroes the great martyr of the 20th century, Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Bhai Amrik Sigh, Gen. Shubegh Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda and Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukh along with Bhai Dilavar Singh, etc are displayed. The Jail officials refuse to take any action and say plainly, “controlling you is something we just can’t do.†And this is not all. All courts in India start with the Indian National Anthem. In Burail Jail, it begins with “Deh Shiva Bar Mohi ihai…â€. The Judge also speaks to the Singhs politely. If he speaks even a little loudly, slogans of “Raj Karaega Khalsa†begin. During the Court being held at Burail Jail, the Singhs in the Beant Assassination case all gather under the Kesri Nishaan Sahib and take an oath to work for the Chardi Kala of the Panth and then respectfully put the Nishaan Sahib in front of the Judge’s desk. The respect of the Nishan Sahib is to such an extent that if it tips over or falls, the court hearing is cancelled and postponed. In Burail Jail, the Singhs’ langar is also not common with other prisoners. All the Singhs prepare their own food. No Jail official can come near to barrack when smoking. Attendance is taken for all prisoners but not the Singhs. All other prisoners receive common utensils but the Singhs have special ones allotted. Every Sangrand, ardaas for Khalistan is done in the jail and all the Jail officials including the Superintendant also take part. All arrangements are made by the jail. What more can be said? The Manual in Burail Jail is just a bit different. Because of the Singhs, instead of the Indian Jail Manual, the “Khalistani Jail Manual†is in effect. All the Singhs being held here are in essence “Jinda Shaheeds†or living martyrs as they have suffered unspeakable torture but are still determined to take the Sikh Struggle forward. Because of their wisdom, bravery and smarts, they have a major influence on the Jail Staff. Where I do ardaas to Akal Purakh to keep these Singhs in Chardi Kala, I also request that the Sikh Nation give them all possible assistance.
  6. No, I got a few more for ya ...Do u like apples? "Inaction is lack of warrior mentality. If you have this warrior mentality then you won't even let someone look at you Guru the wrong way, let alone walk into the Golden Temple with armored vehicles." "Yeah real Nihungs really coo peps. You can chill, drink, smoke and eat meat with them. What better than getting high with the sadh sangat" "‘Bhang’ or ‘Sukhnidhaan’, which is marijuana (cannabis) used by large number of Nihangs nowadays is justified through various means of quoting tales and stories and claiming to be ‘old tradition’s. However, our Guru is eternal and with us forever. Why do we need to refer to stories and justifying traditions by claiming they are ‘old tradition’s passed down, when we have Guru Granth Sahib Ji with us to tell us what is in accordance to Gurmat? Gurbaani clearly condemns the consumption of marijuana." " In UK, there is some educated youth who seem to spend all day on computers with nothing else to do then manipulate things about AKJ. They have nihang thinking. Speaking to Nidaar, he is paranoid of jatha. He believes AKJ is greatest threat to Snaatan Sikhi. He believes Taksal are weak, and no threat, and he hates SGPC. The reason he is paranoid of AKJ is Bhai sahib Randhir Singh Jis book "Chaatka Maas Prathae Gurmat Tat Nirnae". He says this book has done most to stop sikhs eating meat and following Snaatan Sikhi. Well Done Bhai Sahib !!!!!!!!" "Nidar nor Jagdeep do keertan or saanthiya, but slate everyone who does. A lot of youth do Cannabis. I have now heard of one youth who does heroin. I know his family, he started with cannabis and went on to heroin now. He was an Amritdhari youth, who they destroyed. A lot of other youth have drifted away from sikhi. 7. Kirpan Is Knife Says London University Sunday 9th October, 2005 Fauja Singh - Panthic Weekly Staff Ealing, UK (KP) – Amandeep Kaur a Student at a Thames Valley University, West London, this week was told to leave her lecture because she was wearing a Kirpan. Amandeep who is starting her second year of studies at the University was told that some members had expressed concern over the Kirpan. Amandeep Kaur has worn the Kirpan to University the previous year as well with no problems. Amandeep Kaur then went to see the Dean and to her shock she was told, “It’s a knife and is illegal.†This showed the little understanding that the University in west London had of the Sikh religion and Sikh way of life. Amandeep says what she then did, “I smiled and said Sir it’s a kirpan, a symbol of my faith and I can not remove it ever.†The dean replied “I have no knowledge of Sikhs, and will talk to the health and safety at the university.†It is shocking that a dean would have no knowledge of Sikhs especially in west London where there is a high number of Sikhs and Sikh Students. British Law recognises the Kirpan as a symbol of the Sikh faith and therefore allows initiated Sikhs to have it in there position legally. Sikh Students through out UK keep Kirpan as part of the faith with no problem what so ever. For Themes Valley University to stop Amandeep Kaur is a violation of her human rights to practise there religious beliefs freely especially as the country’s law supports her. It is hoped with the help of Sikh Student organisations she will be able to return to her classes as soon as possible with her Kirpan. Fauja Singh can be reached at fauja.singh@panthic.org
  8. Punjab – Missionary Zeal & Extremism Sunday 9th October, 2005 Gurmukh Singh - Panthic Weekly Columnist (KP) - The landscape of Punjab is rapidly changing. Besides the evergrowing Radha Soami Satsangs popping up everywhere in Punjab and Sants and so-called holy men opening Deras on every corner, Christian Missionaries have opened schools and colleges. Affluent Punjabi parents are sending their children to these Christian convent schools for a better education. However, hand in hand with better education is exposaure to the missionary zeal of the Christians preaching Christianity and attempting to convert Punjabis into Christians. The poorer or more illiterate Punjabis are lured to convert to Christianity through promises of the rewards of financial incentives, their children being offered education and hope of a better future by placing faith in Jesus. A few years back I remember in Punjab that Christian missionaries were calling Jesus ‘Satguru' and using Sikh boys to sing in choir music on television. They are using Sikh concepts and nouns to reinvent and represent Christian concepts and ideas in a new package and form to attract simple-minded people. This week, criticising alleged conversion of Dalits into Christians, the RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan, blamed the Sikh leaders for the escalating situation. “They are all silent.†Speaking at a function held by the RSS in Panjab, K.S. Sudarshan said Christian bodies were doing conversions in areas of Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Amritsar , Jalandar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana and Sangrur. The RSS leader even blamed the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) for not doing anything to stop the trend. “We had asked the SGPC to pass a resolution asking Sikhs not to turn towards Christianity, but nothing happened.†Sadly K.S. Sudarshan is right in saying that Sikh leaders are mute on the zeal of Christian missionaries and their efforts in swaying Sikhs from Sikhi to the fold of Christianity. It is puzzling as to why the RSS leader is so concerned and worried for the Sikhs. It is the same RSS which is funded by the government to distort the Sikh religion, people and nation. On one hand the RSS claims that Sikhs are Hindus, distorting Sikh history and producing anti-Gurmat propaganda and insulting the Sikh Guru Sahibans. On the other hand K.S. Sudarshan is concerned and asking the SGPC to do something about the Christian missionaries. The RSS seeks to distort and attack anyone who is not Hindu and resisting to be engulfed in their ideology that some, like Sikhi is “one of the branches of Hinduismâ€. This has led to the emergence of Hindu terrorism against Sikhs, Christians and Muslims. On 26th September, Christian Student Organisations led a march to Punjab's Deputy Commissionar's Office in Court to hand over a memorandum voicing protest of the visit there of the RSS chief K.S.Sudarshan. However Hindu terrorist organisations confronted the Christians half way which led to violent clashes. So, on 27 th September showing solidarity with Christian organisations protesting against the RSS, Shahbaaz Khalsa, the public wing of GURSIKH, joined hands with Christian Organizations in Punjab to counter Hindu terrorism. On the 29th September, Sikh and Christians joined to protest against S.K Sudarshan and the RSS at an RSS conference in Amritsar . However, Sikhs and Christians were arrested by the Punjab Police. It is fair and well that some Sikh organisations in Punjab joined hands with the Christian organisations against the RSS. However the blunt reality is that whether it is the RSS or Christian missionary organizations, both are adamant on changing the face of Punjab. The RSS wants Punjab to be Hindu and speaking Hindi, and the Christians want Punjab to be Christian and speaking English. However, one should evaluate who is more of a threat. Are the Christian missionaries more of a threat than the RSS to the Sikh Panth? The Singh Sabha Movement came into being because, in the late 1800s, the Christians had declared that within couple of decades, they would setup a Church in Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar Sahib. This is what prompted Panthic Gursikhs to gewt together and unite forming the Singh Sabha Movement. The Christians consider our Guru Sahibans to be of no importance. Sikhs are capable of fighting any force including the RSS on their own. Though some Sikh organisations in Punjab are supporting the Christian Organisations in the fight against RSS, however the question is, can the Christians fight along with us? Would the Christians financially support us in defending the Guru Panth against the RSS? We all know the answer. The Christian missionaries preach there is no other way to salvation than through Christ. They quote Jesus saying in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." They claim that Jesus is the only way of salvation because "He is the only One who can redeem our sins," (Romans 6:23) and that no other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion, according to them, offers the infinite redemption of sin that only Jesus Christ can provide. No other “religious founder†"was God become man" (John 1:1,14): this was the way the original sin of Adam & Eve could be forgiven. Christians believe that Jesus had to be God so that he could redeem debt of man's sin and that he had to be man so he could die. Salvation to them is available only through faith in Jesus Christ. “Salvation is found through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved†(Acts 4:12). This is what is being preached in Punjab. Fundamentalist Christians in Punjab don't care about Sikhs and will not rest till they embrace their religion, and extremist Hindus, with the help of the Government of India, will not stop attacking and distorting Sikhi until Sikhs claim to be Hindus and go back to being ideologically enslaved by the clutches of Brahmanism, which Guru Nanak Sahib Ji freed us from over 500 years ago. This is the changing face of Punjab! Next time when you go to Punjab to visit the family or visit Gurdwara Sahibs then take time out to do Parchar. A Sikh is a parcharic. Don't burden this heavy responsibility on to the SGPC, Gurdwaras or Granthi Singhs. Being the Khalsa, is in the image of Guru Gobind Singh. Within the Khalsa the light of Sikhi shines and through them the fragrance of Naam should spread. When in Punjab, inspire youngsters to read Gurbani and do Gurbani vichar. Sit with your relatives and do Rehraas Sahib in the evening and Nitnem in the morning. Encourage them to recognise who they are and to realise their great history, religion and legacy. Share Sakhis (stories) of the Guru Sahibs with children. Each and everyone of us can help highlight the issue and actively do something about it. O Khalsa, wake up and recognise who you are. Don't sell away your Sikhi cheaply to zealous missionaries, RSS, Radha Soamis, self-proclaimed Satgurus, or Sant Babé. Stand on guard with the sword of Naam and the shield of Gurbani. Educate yourself on your history and heritage and share the treasures with others you see. The biggest gift you can share with your family and relatives in Punjab are not suits, watches and electrical goods you have brought from abroad, but instead share the biggest gift of Gurmat and Naam with them. Gurmukh Singh can be reached at gurmukh.singh@panthic.org
  9. GurSikhs all over the world knew it was the GOI who was behind this massacre when it happened. This is the kind of filthy politics that in in play now and was in play in 1947, 1978, 1984, and all thorugh the 80s and 90s. We call ourselves Khalsa, but when something like this happens...we keep our mouths shut. When our we fnally gonna wake up. Don't worry, 'Jago' will come soon enough. And when she does she'll grab us all by our short and curlys and scream in our faces 'Jaag Veh Singho...Hun Jago Aiyah!' DEGH TEGH FATEH

  11. -I found this poem online...thought u all might enjoy it "This is for my sisters and brothers and for the ones tested by life's struggles You cant consider yourself a sikh If you put food on the table by selling bricks There is more to life than the streets You aren't a man cuz you hold heat We all know, everybody likes nice things But there is more to life than what money brings If your living a life full of misery Get in touch with your people, your history We all know about Indra Gandhi She created the sikh athvadi With operation blue star in charasi She forced the singhs to pick up the A-K senthali Now let me take it back further The Indian continent was under Maharajas rule The way he governed was anything but cruel He never sought retribution only a peaceful solution Our people never wanted to cause harm Just what is rightfully ours...Khalistan Our ancestors never feared death They welcomed it until their last breath Because of that there has been a fire lit inside of me For once I was blind but now I see You just never know- it could be me it could be you But when your time comes- your last word should be Waheguru-"
  12. What was Baba Santa Singh's response to April 13th, 1978 when the Narkhdaris murdered 13 Singhs in Amritsar? Does anyone know if the Nihungs of either Budha or Tarna Dal provided any help or assistance to the innocent widows or orphans of Operation Bluestar or the 1984 Anti-Sikh Delhi riots? What's the view of "admin cut' Ajit Phoola and KP Gill? I invite anybody and everybody on this forum to express their opinions. DHEG TEGH FATEH
