  1. I don't have any idea of Guru's Wisdom color............but in general life, according to Sant Baba Attar Singh: "Guru Ghar wich Kesre, Surmae, and White are jayez haan, but nothing against any color" (Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji - Jiwan Gatha - Page 77)
  2. thanks Neo bhaji...........great post for learning.
  3. everthing will merge into GOD...........it's just the matter of time, some persons merges into GOD earlier, and others are late.................but merging with GOD is not as simple as said.............one needs to have very good deeds and must have GURU..... Heavens are NOT the final phase...........heaven is just a phase where one spends good time (length of stay depends upon the person's deeds) as a reward of his/her good deeds.............it is NOT for permanent...........even the king of Heaven (Indra) is not permanent.......he wants to come to earth so that he can meditate on GOD and can merge with GOD....................in this universe, only Humans can work towards to merge with GOD........ for more information regarding the heavens and other realms: http://www.sikhawareness.com/sikhawareness...opic.php?t=9025 The realm of Shiva, the realms of Brahma and Indra as well - no place anywhere is permanent. (Guru Arjun dev ji)
  4. theek RupZ bhaji, actually i was thinking that you know lot about Sikhi, u r just posting, but I was wrong.......sorry bhaji....take care
  5. das is NOT saying that in order to merge with GOD, one should be a Sikh and have to take Amrit.........no, all religions leads to same ONE GOD.........it's another thing that we manmukh always say our religion is better and mukti can be attained only by people in our religion...........in order to merge with GOD, one must have a Guru (who has already merged with One GOD)..............the one who is still is deep ocean, cannot help someone to reach the shore.............and one should follow GURU's advice to reach Waheguru............. Waheguru Naam Jahaj/Ship ha, whosoever boards it reaches the shore AND GURU is the caption who is driving this ship and the caption/GURRU knows where and how to reach shore......without GURU this ship will NOT be able to touch shores....... GUR BIN GYAN NA HOVE Guru Nanak Dev has written that: Let no man in the world live in delusion. Without a Guru none can cross over to the other shore. and there is no question to think that one would be able to swim across this sansar samundar without GURU.........we cannot question gurbani, but yes we can request Paramatma to give us the wisdom. yes, I think that Naam is given to us Before we took First human form (first time GOD sent us to this earth), but till now we have NOT done NAAM Bhagati and still living it as in Human form.......if we have followed it, then we would have been living with One GOD as HIS part............and thanks to GOD that HE has Again given us the opportunity to merge into HIM.........the only reason we are here is to remember GOD. Yes, Sikhi is very deep, persons like me would NOT be able to understand it fully.........thing is Sikhi is very-very deep and are we here to prove Sikhi is deep? we are here to do bhagati and get rid of 84 Lakh jonian ........... there is a airplane which has very complex parts, and this airplane is going to take us to another part..........we know that it (airplane with complex parts) will reach to another corner, but if we are lost in the seeing the complexity of how this machine made of iron fly?, and thinking that one of my friend has flown to another corner using this machine...........and thinking that we will also be able to do so........then we are wrong, we judged the complexity of airplane, but forgot that this complexity is made so that we can reach another destination .........we still need to take a step forward and board that plane and once we are on board, we will know that Now we will be there..... If this nemana has comprehend your question wrong, then I'm sorry........I'm not a scholar like you, I'm just writing what I learn till now. das
  6. everybody (all persons in Human form) in mother's womb promised to GOD that we will at-least devote 2.5 hours everyday in remembering GOD.......doing Waheguru Waheguru........or doing path........... remembering GOD is NOT our right, it is our duty for which GOD has given us this Human form.............and what we took from Panj Paras is Amrit with which we are coming under the category of Guruwale and our GURU is is Guru Granth Sahib Ji.......even we all Sikhs (Amritwale and Non-Amritwale) consider Guru Granth Sahib Ji as our Guru, but one needs to do this offically through Amrit taken from Panj Paras and then following the Rehit...........in previous times Guru people become Guruwale by Charan Phul...............and IT IS important to be a Guruwala.........because Guru Nanak Dev Ji says: Let no man in the world live in delusion. Without a Guru none can cross over to the other shore. Without becoming Guruwale if we do path for 2.5 hours or with every breath, we may secure another Human form birth (instead of going to charase lakh joon), but we will NOT be able to go merge with HIM................GOD will give us another chance to be Guruwale and merge with HIM by giving us another human birth (if we have accumulated enough good deeds). das
  7. Waheguru Ji Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh, "May I ask? Does one reach HIM at the beginning, in the middle or at the end? Please explain further. " Everthing what we call it: Truth or GOD is described in first place in Guru Granth Sahib Ji: ik-oNkaar sat naam kartaa purakh nirbha-o nirvair akaal moorat ajoonee saibhaN gur parsaad. aad sach jugaad sach hai bhee sach naanak hosee bhee sach. sochai soch na hova-ee jay sochee lakh vaar. By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within. The hunger of the hungry is not appeased, even by piling up loads of worldly goods. Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with you in the end. So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away? O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will. ||1|| ........................moreover, once Guru Gobind Singh Ji asked the sangat to say whole Guru Granth Sahib in a short time; time taken Guru Gobind Singh Ji to sit on a horse..........everyone was surprised and thinking how could Guru Granth Sahib Ji be read in such a short time.......but one Singh DID it by saying "Ik Onkar..."..... Balbir Singh Ji may regard this post as borrowed knowledge, and in-fact you are true......everyone in this world except Sants/Bramhgyanis borrows the knowledge from someone (this someone could be jiv atma who in itself a GOD or could be through Sants or could be............) everyone here is borrower.........we owe everything to GOD...........we are just taking loan from HIM (from HIS creation) .............GOD gives us everthing even if someone is Nastik........... HE is GREAT and at-least I cannot find the "Bheat/Fully comprehend GOD/TRUTH/RABB" Bhul chak de vaste maffi das
  8. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ke Fateh If I'm wrong or have said anything which is against the teachings of our Gurus or I've hurt anyone, then I would like to request for Mafi/forgiveness from the sangat....... Das
  9. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh great anser Hari jee....... I was very reluntant to post this message, but I finally decided to post it. I've noticed that most of the time Balbir Singh Jee is posting such kind of threads like: "Is GOD One?", "Can the sound Waheguru replace Raam?", "Sikh Schools", "One Amrit From Five", "What is the death of Shabad Guru", "Who is the Guru of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?", "Are Singhs diminishing", "Japu - a noun or verb".....and so on...... and whosoever answers these threads, Balbir Singh Jee finds out something to question other person's believe........Balbir Singh Ji always try to post topic which normal person would answer otherwise......the main concept of both persons are same.....it is just a matter of presenting........I truly regard the knowledge of Balbir Singh Jee.....he is a scholar........but do you think that: are you helping any normal person......the discussions.......Are we boosting of our knowledge? I guess no, you don't intend to do so, but it looks otherwise........that kind of discussions are meant for the scholars like you...........everyone knows that GOD IS ONE.......and discussing in countless concept is different, it may look good to you, but not to a person who is trying to learn...........actually you are confusing other person with the knowledge of Masters level, but the other person is still in 10th standard......infact the bottom line is: GOD IS ONE and ALL IS GOD......we should be able to see everything in this universe as GOD within that...... my point is: Sants/Bramhgyanis/MahaPurashs have lot more knowledge, I would rather say they have ALL the knowledge (100% knowledge)....but even then they do NOT confuse people with their vast knowledge, they just present the facts in a simple way so that a normal people without knowledge can learn from that...........and I think that as compared to 100% knowledge, our scholars may have 0.1% knowledge, and then why we are asking other to post the answer about something which is very simple, but we present that thing is complex matter.... One should use his knowledge to spread awareness of Sikhi, instead of posting some topics with very deep meanings with are limited to only very learned people like: Neo, TSingh, Vijaydeep Singh, Hari, Balbir Singh................. if you want only scholars to discuss the topics, then ADMIN should start a seperate thread for the scholars. we have lot many issues popping up in Sikhi (obviously created by people)....and we are creating other issues like....."GOD is ONE...how GOD is ONE".........so, please use your valued knowledge to teach something to public so that someone can learn from it.........OR if you still need to post those topics, please post your response for that post in the beginning... Bhul Chuk Maf Karna Jee Das
  10. Please guide me for the power and effects of all 31 Ragas in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. das
  11. Waheguru Ji Ka Khasla Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh, Could anyone teach me the power and effects of every 31 Ragas in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.................I mean on the body, spiritual being, and all other spheres........With the grace of GOD I already have the information of all Ragas, their timings, and themes. das
  12. Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru do you remember in which diwan you heard that, I have access to almost all diwans if Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji........ any findings about 40 days........traditionally in Sikh families when a child is born, he was taken to Gurdwara Sahib for namkaran on 40th day.......there are number of things which are related to 40 in Sikhism, but what's the reason? Das
  13. I do NOT have any knowledge. I am the worst and good for nothing. Thanks. You are the most learned one. May GOD be always by your side. I will try not to post any new post in this forum as I do not want to enter into argument.
  14. where I said "name given to GOD"...........it means that GOD is represented by a name "Ram"..........it's not that we have given GOD a name...... moreover, it is NOT us who have given Ram name to GOD..........Ram is mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib Ji........... On whom GOD has kirpa, achieved mukti even by saying one time "Ik Om Kar"..............and at the same time there are people like us who are still trying to achieve mukti by recieting the naam for 2.5 hours and some receiting it with every breath (but in the core of the heart we think that I AM receiting naam)...............In this birth we are given the opportunity to take Amrit and do path, and we do take Amrit and doing paath, but have we attained mukti.........or we are again going to miss this oppourtunity as we did missed in all previous births? secondly, you have mentioned that: "What Baabaa Nand Singh Jee suggested to someone was all right for that time and situation.".............I beg your pardon that whatever Brahmgyani says are ALWAYS right.......how could we say that it was right for that time...........Brahmgyanis are totally one with GOD, and then how GOD could be right for some time and wrong at another time. ............. you asked "Why are many waiting for attaining Mukti then?"................can we ask ourselves this question????? we are reciting Waheguru Waheguru all the time, but still we have NOT attained the mukti..........Why? Anyways, may GOD place HIS hand on us and offer us the strength to follow Guru Granth Sahib je and attain mukti. moreover, I would like to point that DO NOT say anything bad to any Saint/Brahmgyani even if we know that "In todays world there are very less real Sants", because we do NOT have the capability to judge whether someone is Sant or not..............Brahmgyani ke gat Brahmgyani Jane.......so, we should at-least respect the attire they are wearing......and do NOT say or think bad about any................we never know who is Brahmgyani and who is not............it is possible that we might say bad to real Brahmgyani and if that's the case, we have to pay for it.. I responded to this thread thinking that someone needs help in some topic, I was not aware that the this post is meant to test the people ............spread Waheguru da naam. Wahegur Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh
  15. just a correction: It is 50 Sukhmani Sahib path in One month and NOT 60 Sukhmani Sahib path in one month.
  16. I am looking for specific details regarding 40 and 108 (preferably from Sant, if someone has head some Bachans of Sant Isher Singh Ji, Baba Attar Singh Ji, Baba Nand Singh Ji, or from other Sikh sakhi), I need something more like: the effect of receiting a particular mala of 108 beads, the reason behind 108........what does 108 have relationship with Puran Baramganis and to the spiritual sphere...........and I could NOT find any topic on 40 days thing. I was just able to find that: It takes forty days to ingrain any new way of being into our system, and that is what we are aiming to do here: wipe out the old and welcome the new. The bottom line is I am looking the above information from Sant bachans if anyone have heard one because only Puran Baramgani can shed light on the truth and in detail. Das
  17. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh I would like to learn about the reasons behind 108 and 40. I am not raising the question against the validity of these, I just want to increase my knowledge regarding 108 and 40. 108: 1. Most of the time there are 108 beads in a Mala. 2. We refer to Puran Baramgani with 108. 40: 1. Sometimes Puran Baramganis asks us to do some Gurbani path at some particular time (mostly before sunrise) for 40 days without interuption and that is particularly for a specific reason. (BUT we should NOT do chalisa ourself, I mean without the bachan of Puran Baramgani. I know about "Sankat Mochan - Shabad Sidhi" which we should NOT follow without Puran Baramganis bachan. These are the techiques that can be followed only with the bachans of Puran Baramgani, and Puran Baramgani usually instruct us to do this under limited circumstances. And everone knows that ). 2. Almost every religion consider 40 as auspicious. Therefore, there is something specific about 108 and 40. Could anyone shed some light on 108 or 40. I came across number of things for 108 like: there are 108 energy line connecting chakaras, there are 108 desires, 108 lies, 36*3 (previous, current and future) etc. etc., but then why we attach 108 with puran baramgani. Any suggestions Neo, Vikaramjet and other senior members! Das
  18. Waheguru is not replacement of Ram (here Ram is NOT referring to Ram Chandar ji. Here Ram is the one of the name given to GOD). One can attain mukti by saying Ram Ram or by saying Waheguru or Allah or Raab. Remember, ganka (initially a prostitute) removed her bad deeds by repeating the name of her parrot (the name of the parrot was Ram (as suggested by a sadhu))..... and One Singh (the name slipped out of my mind) attained gayan by just saying "Pare Hat" because when he has gone to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Guru Ji said "Pare Hut"....and started saying "Pare Hut" all the time and thus attained the Gayan. So, basically it is NOT a religion, it is our self....how we are remembering GOD.....Remeber GOD (Waheguru/Ram/Allah/God/Raab) with every breath. Moreover, Baba Nand Singh Ji recommended everyone to do ONE Complete Guru Granth Sahib Ji path in a month. Then what about some illiterate people in village who don't know Gurbani. Then Baba Nand Singh Ji suggested the following ways which are equal to the One Guru Granth Sahib Ji path. 1. Complete recitation of the whole of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a month. 2. Complete 60 paths of Sri Sukhmani Sahib in a month; recite 2 paths of Sri Sukhmani Sahib daily. 3. Complete 250 paths of Jap Ji Sahib in a month; recite 10 paths of Jap Ji Sahib daily. 4. Complete 180 Malas (Rosary Mala of 108 beads) of Mool Mantra (from Ekonkar to Nanak Hosi Bhi Such) in a month; do six malas daily. 5. Complete 80 Malas daily of Gur Mantar 'Waheguru'; 20 Malas of Waheguru if the Nam is recited four times on each bead. 6. Complete 160 Malas daily of Ram (Nam); 40 Malas if Ram is recited four times on each bead. I hope it helps. Das
  19. Does anyone has any of the following PDF or .DOC files and/or translations: 1. The Ahiyapur Pothi 2. The Sarbloh Granth 3. Shaster Naam Mala 4. Bhai Banno & His Bir 5. Prichhia 6. Uggardanti Please guide me. Thanks
  20. What GOD wants from all religions? GOD wants everyone to merge with Him. GOD do NOT want us to be in heaven only, because Heaven is only a temporary phase. GOD sent great spirits to earth (before Sikhism) to teach the world about GOD and to teach everyone to worship One GOD and how to merge with GOD. But whosoever attained some spiritual knowledge created their own Simritis . NO ONE reached GOD, no one merged with Him. So, GOD sent Guru Nanak DevJi followed by 9 more GURUS to spread the naam of One GOD. Sikhs say that all religions are equal, but some from us raise the question that if all religion reaches to same GOD, then there is NO need for a person to be a Sikhs or take Amrit. This is wrong thinking. It is explained as follows: All religion’s prophets (Hindus, Islam, Christians, Jews,………, EXCEPT Sikhism) promise their followers heavens, but Sikhism believes that one MUST merge with GOD and should not think about just heavens. So, the followers of all religions who promised heavens WILL get a heaven according to their deeds. Because they asked for Heavens and they will get it; but no religion is trying to merge with GOD except Sikhism. But there is a condition on ALL religions that one must have Guru in order to be in heaven. Say a person has done very good deeds in this world, but does NOT have a Guru (Guru must be merged with GOD) will NOT get a place in heaven, instead they will be sent to earth in human form (because they have good deeds to his/her credit) so that person can have Guru in this life; and if that person has very good deeds and GOD wants him to merge with him, then GOD will send that person to this earth as a SIKH, because only Sikhism says to merge with GOD and NOT think about heaven. Heaven is not the ultimate destination, but sadly mostly religions believes that heaven is the ultimate reality. Actually heaven is temporary phase which a person will get according to his/her deeds; heaven is NOT the ultimate destination. Some person will get a stay of 1 hour and some may get a stay of 10,000 years in heaven, some may get a stay there till the end of Kalyug, but ultimately after spending the decided stay in heaven that person HAS to come back to earth to again go through 84 Lakh species. Those who has got a stay in heaven till the end of Kalyug, will again have to come to earth when GOD will again create everything. Kalyug is the last yug after Satyug, Tritar, and Duvapar yug. After Kalyug GOD will destroy everything including everything from all Khands, except from Sachkhand. Everything in Sachkhand will merge with GOD. So, if someone wants to merge with GOD and wants to get rid of cycle of birth and death forever, then take Amrit and do good. One more misconception is those who take Amrit will definitely and do whatever you want, you will automatically get entry into Sachkhand. One has to do kamai, do good deeds in order to be eligible to enter Sachkhand. Then what’s the use of Amrit: The advantage is if we take Amrit, but do wrong things in life, then Guru Gobind Singh Ji will secure us a human form as a Sikh in the next birth instead of going to narak. In order words if someone does take Amrit, but does NOT do good deeds, then GOD will provide that person other human forms until he is eligible to get into Sachkhand. Amrit is the shortcut to Sachkhand; otherwise one take several millions of trillion births to reach Sachkhand. If someone (from any religion) has good deeds, but is not eligible for Sachkhand, then GOD will again provide that person with other human form births (as a Sikh) until he/she is eligible to get into the Sachkhand. Entry to Sachkhand is extremely difficult, one has to several births to be eligible for Sachkhand, but Guru Gobind Singh Ji has provided us with a shortcut eligibility to enter Sachkhand. Now, what is Sachkhand, and where are these heavens etc? There are total of 5 khands, and Sachkhand is the highest place where GOD resides. All Khands have certain age and every person in these khands have certain length of stay according to his/her deeds. But the persons in Sachkhand will stay there forever and when Kalyug will be destroyed, the persons in Sachkhand will be merged in GOD. DHARAM KHAND Pauri 34 of Siri Jap jee Sahib explains Dharam Khand. This is the khand where our soul goes to after death. This is where Dharam Rai is stationed. Almost every religion explains this khand in some form or the other. This Khand is huge and this is where heavens and hells are. Dharam Rai has an army of millions and millions jammdoots who control the whole Dharam Khand. Siri Jap jee Sahib summarizes this Khand as follows: There are countless seasons, waters, fires, fires and low-lands like Pataal. Amidst such wide variety of things is the land of Dharam Khand. There countless kind of creatures reside. These creatures are there suffering punishments or getting rewarded for their good deeds. Everybody is judged according to their deeds done on Karam Bhoomi (our Earth or likes of it). The darbar of Dharam Rai is based on truth. Panch Jan i.e. the accepted persons get recognition and respect there. Such persons are recognised by the nishaan (symbol, or mark) on their forehead that appears as we do bhagtee of True Naam. All this may seem like fiction here but once we get there, we will realize how true it is (Nanak, Gaiyaan jaapai jaaye). When Waheguru takes back his creation, this Khand gets destroyed. GYAAN KHAND No matter who one is, everyone has to come to Dharam Khand. Persons who has good deeds go there as well as who do NOT have. The difference is that when the good person arrive there, no record of them is found there and because of the divine mark on their forehead, they are very well respected there. Bad people on the other hand get stiff punishments there and are sent to hell and thereafter back to earth to go through the 8.4 million forms, depending on their karma. Gursikhs and other good people who are above heaven move on to the next khand i.e. Gyaan Khand. This is a very huge Khand and references to this Khand too are found in various religious books. This is where most of the prophets and saints of other religions fall. The ones who worship Siri Krishna, Vishnu jee, Shiv jee, and Mohammadans etc. fall in this Khand. This is where Baikunth i.e. residing place of Siri Krishna and his devotees, Buddha, and other great religious leaders are. This place is very beautiful and there are countless Krishna, Shiv jees, Buddhas there. The bhagats like Dhru reside in this Khand. This Khand is very great Khand and only fortunate ones reach here. The only drawback is that the residents of this Khand are not eternal. SHARAM KHAND, KARAM KHAND AND SACH KHAND This is the third Khand and hereon it is impossible to describe the Khands. Sharam Khand and the two Khands above this i.e. Karam Khand and Sach Khand are beyond description. One thing is for sure that the way we are today, we cannot comprehend anything there in Sharam Khand. For this reason when one reaches this Khand, one gets new senses, mind, intelligence and surti. The reason is that with old senses and mann, budh, we cannot comprehend anything there. Sharam Khand is essential for Bhagats before they can enter Karam Khand and Sach Khand. Sharam Khand is like prep Khand for entering Karam Khand and Sach Khand. This Khand is extremely beautiful. Everything there is just too beautiful to describe. Guru Sahib just says that no one should bother to describe anything there as it would be futile and such person who tries to say anything about this Khand have to regret. Karam Khand and Sach Khand exist in such fashion as a house and varaandaah exist. Varaandah is like the outskirts of a house but within the boundery of the property. Normally the top of the varandaah is ceiling. From Karam Khand one can view the inside of the house and know what is going on inside but can’t go inside. There is immense Anand (Bliss) in this Khand. Only real warriors who have subdued all bikaars can enter this Khand. This Khand – Karam Khand is accessible mostly (NOT only) to Gursikhs of Guru Nanak Dev jee but some rare ones who do kamaayee of Kirtam Naam (qualitative names like Raam, Gobind etc.) and give their best shot to it, but are not Gursikhs of Guru Nanak can reach Karam Khand. Both Karam Khand and Sach Khand are eternal Khands. Sachkhand is the highest khand where Waheguru resides. Sach Khand is huge and the whole creation including other 4 Khands are within Sach Khand. Sach Khand surrounds the whole creation and is inside the whole creation. In essence Sach Khand is Waheguru himself. In Sach Khand, the bhagats don’t lose their identity. The Ten Gurus occupy the top position along with Waheguru. It is futile to write anything about it. Guru Nanak Sahib has written that to describe Sach Khand is like chewing iron (Nanak, Kathna KaraRaa Saar). Dasam Duaar is a shortcut to Sach Khand. It is like a door to Sach Khand. Sitting here, one can have all the Anand of Sach Khand and know what is going on there. When Waheguru takes back his creation, this is the only Khand which will NOT be destroyed, instead it will be absorbed in the Waheguru/GOD. It describes that: it is person and his deeds, and not only religion according to which GOD decides. If GOD wants us to merge with Him as soon as possible, he will send us to earth as a Sikh.
