are they mocking the 5ks, or just questioning people who wear them but don;t have a reason for wearing them. If we arte looking at the same sticky.

Lets just ask ourselves this, do some singhs who wear the 5 kakaars know why they wear them, or are they like some of the weird jatha singhs who reduce the kara beeni shastar to being a symbol of "oneness" only.

I haven;t gone trhough the rest of the thread you are asking me about to check for insults.

I can tell you this, I wear a heavier kara more these days, since why wear something that respresents beeni shastar created apparently by the nirmala singhs to play music, if i can wear beeni shastar ?
Of course that is ritualistic?!? But what is wrong with rituals if they help you or increase respect?

oh absolutely, but the problem is when the traditional stuff and gand is looked under the same banner. I think it is important to presevre some good traditions.

OK, is this at the sikh wedding parties? I think soem families are more liberal than others. Although, I am seeing the not-so-good clothes slipping into some women, it doesn't look good.

I am sure most westerner kids don;t understand most of the lyrics, but no excuse for using lewdness. Although I think you mean the suggestive lyrics right??

I have been to brunel uni club for bhangra night, and I thinkthe type of people and clothes are getting worse every year. I guess I developed a fundo attitude when all this stuff about girls being coverted at unis came out. I thouhgt, maybe I could make a difference in the club, catch them at it. lol (I guess it didn;t help I didn;t really chat to stranger girls)
Also I used to see some decent Singhs going there watching from the sides, I thinkl they went for same reason, to watch out for any trouble. I saw one with bana a few times, and theres always tghis Singhni with bana with him. I don;t know who they are, I just used to see them in uni now and then, oh and once at Hayes Tesco lol

I have matured now and just lost respect for those girls, so don;t care what they convert to. Although they have banned smoking, I don;t wanna go to uni club anymore to do bhangra, the people now there make me feel a bit alien, I think I will just be going to earlier family functions now

Hmm, yeh I always hear about some practioners of shastar vidiya from Nihang Niddar Sing's classes going clubs, but I mostly just see it on the net. I know some of the London class. I guess some of the people who preach against him should mention if they go clubbing

Maybe we should have a punjabi music censorship board, which either rates it acceptable or just bezhti.

Again, the preaching about not using caste like this to me seems to be teaching of SGPC, whereas I don;t think hazoori or nihang sikhs or any other sampradaiye would be worried at all.

Of course there are other reasons sikhs go on about castes.

so where in the panth do bhatrey fit in, do they fit into sanatan because they are there since Guru Nanak Dev Jis time, or maybe they have been SGPCfied which is difficult to believe with the full english breakfast and drinking amirt-shuk giani, but then there's the Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale picture.

Seriously, where do they fit in?

oh yeah and another thing, they exist since Guru nanak's time, so I need an explanation, is meat allowed in some non-SGPC langars, because I have heard of meat being served even in the Gurus times, but I do not know.

Also is it true most bhatrey live in a certain area in the uk, but forgot where it was.

Also I got respect for bhatras, they marry their kids off at a good age, not like kids these days gettin upto no good and doing lafungpuna.

If everyone consents to polygamy who am I to say?
Most people already are. It's called dating and baby mamma drama.
I would prefer a 1 man 1 woman Anand Karaj. But I understand why families sometimes include more than one wife.
Done properly polygamy is for the women's benefit not man.

why not let some of the amritdharis practise polygamy again, like they used to during misl period and before all the way back during Guru Hargobind ji's times, starting with Guru Arjan Dev ji arranging 2 rishtas for Hargobind ji after rejecting Chandu's daughter's rishta? I have also had some silly Amrit dhari Singh of a kenya background trying to justify his 2 exes and the serial monogamy of "dating", he said to me "I didn't do anything with them"....

The more you learn gurmukhi, the more you will see how illogical and unedcuated the way spellings are done for English language, they don't even make full use of the resources of symbols and characters to spell, that's how dumbed down and unintelligible it is!

there is some backside action in Charitropakhyan, but the only one I read about was male dominance rape as opposed to being a truly homosexual. Need to read the story about the king who slept with nice women coming to his court and his wife wanting revenge to get the correct context!
Can do Sukhmani Sahib and Anand Sahib. We need to remember there weren't many Guru Granth Sahib saroops in puraatan times so the modern form of Anand Karaj wasn't performed.

Ok, so an incident happened last week in the Brunel University  2019 Sikh Society Whatsapp group.
Some Singhs posted this petition against halal in schools https://www.change.org/p/boris-johnson-stop-halal-meat-in-school-children-shouldnt-eat-slaughter-religious-meat-in-schools?recruiter=false&utm_source=share_petition&utm_campaign=psf_combo_share_initial&utm_medium=whatsapp&utm_content=washarecopy_19889602_en-GB%3Av3&recruited_by_id=ba2a1040-95cb-11ea-a83e-17d9f83f095a

Both Singhs got kicked out of the group. I started a discussion about this being a bujjar kurahit. Everyone from monay to some group admins started on me. One group admin Singh said this years' sikh society is for oneness and that uni is multicultural, and we shouldn't discuss these things. One admin even went as far as saying 'Meat is Meat' whether halal or not.  Anyway after some discussion I was disappointed, there were a few people that also agreed with me. But I can't believe these uni students were behaving as cucks. Some people were saying we were belittling another religion because of this petition?!
Such is the state of uni sikh societies, it seems they will not support other sikhs who don't want to eat halal.

Clash between Nihangs, Radha Soamis; 11 injured (dailypioneer.com)

Days after the incident of church vandalization in a Tarn Taran village, a clash broke out between Nihang Sikhs and followers of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas on Sunday after the former allegedly tried to forcibly enter the sprawling Dera premises to graze their cattle, leaving 10 people and a police personnel injured.
Both sides pelted stones and bricks at each other and some people fired in the air during the clash, the police said. The Police also resorted to a mild cane-charge to disperse Nihangs and Dera followers.
Amritsar (Rural) Senior Superintendent of Police Swapan Sharma said that the situation was under control.
According to the police, a group of Nihangs wanted to enter the Dera Radha Soami sect's land to graze their cattle. However, the followers of Dera Radha Soami objected to it and denied them entry, leading to heated arguments.
One of the Nihangs allegedly attacked a security in-charge of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas, identified as Parmdeep Singh Teja, who sustained injuries in his shoulders.
Jandiala Guru Police Station SHO Davinder Kumar, who was on the spot, tried to intervene and also sustained injuries. The situation took an ugly turn when the group of Nihangs again forcibly tried to enter the Dera premises, leading to the clash between both the groups. Nihangs broke one of the entry gates of the Dera premises, claimed Dera followers.
A total of 10 people from both sides suffered injuries, besides the police officer. The injured were admitted to Baba Bakala civil hospital.
The Nihangs are a Sikh sect whose blue-robed members are often seen carrying swords or spears.
Meanwhile, Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring appealed to everyone to maintain calm and avoid spreading misinformation. SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal also appealed to the people to maintain peace and communal harmony while describing the incident as “extremely disturbing”.
“Repeated clashes and breakdown of law and order are pushing the state towards anarchy. I urge (chief minister) @BhagwantMann to immediately come to grips with the situation,” he tweeted.

You need to read Guru Gobind Singh bani. Khalsa practises kshatriya dharam. shastar tilak is no joke. shastar is thirsty for blood!
Ranjit Singh is an excommunicated joker. He didn't even bother to read the pangti from Guru Granth Sahib maharaj which he is trying to explain to his followers.
jhatka and shikaar isn't practised just for food, it is practised as khstairya dharam and to make Singhs fearless and used to the sight of blood. Even then it doesn't really prepare you for the horrors you will see in a war! IF jhatka isn't practised, Singhs will do jhatka wrong and it will become phatka, which is against Nihang Singh maryada for consumption. Also supposed to know jhatka to be able to take enemies down with one blow!
Also at Kurukshetra, Guru Nanak was more concerned with the hypocrisy of the Brahmin being against meat being cooked on a sacred day, than actually being concerned with meat or veg
Guru Angad dev ji used to have meat served to whole sangat for langar, and then the first time an exception was made was when Baba Amar Das joined langar and Guru Angad Dev ji found out that Baba Amar Das was hesitant for eating meat!

yes the extended length varies in sampradaiye, but ALL samprdaiye read ALL of kabyo baach benti section and ARRIL as well.
these other jathas+cults and SGPC won't even read the full kabyo baach benti and make excuses like "the bentiyan ran out, so we don't need to read anymore" and have printed gutkas with the bani missing and have influenced generations of sikhs into reading chaupai sahib in this shankawadi way and still influence even the current youth!

They are not just reading bani, they are influencing the wider panth with their anti-dasam granth views through chaupai sahib reading and gutkas!!!

ipledgeblue got a reaction from Soulfinder in Sarabloh and Bibek Maryadas
do these jatha groups who claim to follow sarbloh bibek follow it properly such as drinking water from a well? In Budha Dal, I think about jeevans such baba Surjit Singh used to keep Sarbloh bibek and it was only small numbers of Singhs who keep sarbloh bibek rehit. In Canada, due to lack of wells, some Nihang Singhs keep a different bibek. I know about naamdharis in India keeping Sarbloh Bibek and drinking water from a well only.
Anyone claiming to follow Sarbloh Bibek without using water from wells is lying to us!!!
Havan is actually mentioned in Dohira read with Brahm Kavach. Jhatka and shikaar is maryada encouraged by Guru Hargobind Sahib and Guru Gobind Singh.
As evidenced from their youtube channel,  Gurmat bibek does not have a strict rehit for reading Chaupai Sahib bani and read Kabyo Baach Benti Chaupai in the same shankawadi manner as most of the rest of AKJ and also same as the minimum found in SGPC maryada. If a sikh does shanka on dasam bani and cannot even complete kabyo baach benti before Arril, and makes excuses such as the bentiyaan already being finished, then what good are trying to be strict on some other rehits? These groups think it's ok to butcher Chaupai Sahib and Raagmala because they follow vegeterianism!
The fact that they dress up as Nihang Singhs yet are not prepared to give respect to Chaupai Sahib bani as true bana wearers like Budha Dal and Tarna Dal, that is insulting and admin cut behaviour.

no you don't, they are sikhs who pretend to dress up Nihangs and going to teach these poor kids how to butcher Chaupai Sahib and do shanka of Raagmala as well! It's a shame they call it dashmesh khalsa school when they don't even respect dasam bani!

Jahangir also sent his men along with elephants to bring Sri Chand to his palace at Kadrabad now Nanakchak in Gurdaspur district.
