Sri Guru Nanak is Parmeshvar, taking 'Avatar' in the highest and auspicious lineage [bedi]. [From Sarbloh Granth aka Manglacharan Puran, page 489, Vol. 2] In Adi Guru Granth Sahib, it is written: ਭਨਿ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਭੇਦੁ ਨਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਅਰਜੁਨੁ ਪਰਤਖ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ॥ ...So speaks Mat'huraa: there is no difference between God and Guru; Guru Arjun is the Personification of the Lord Himself. ||7||19|| Furthermore in Bhai Gurdas Ji's varan it says: ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਉ ਹੈ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ Guru Nanak is the True Guru and is God Himself. So this concept of the Guru being Parmeshvar Himself [in sargun saroop] is in all of our scriptural literature.
  9. This conversation isn't going anyway because you still haven't shown me where my translation is incorrect, rather you avoid it and bring up Gurdev Niddar Singh, which was not even mentioned in the article. Once again I will clarify for you, Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranvale brings up two forms of vidiya, first is Patebaaz, which we can infer to mean Gatka by looking at the definition and what Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranvale says, and the second is the real vidiya he says which is just to kill, which we would infer to mean the real vidiya taught by Guru Gobind Singh Ji and other countless Singh's, which in historical granths has been mentioned as Shastar Vidiya or Ayudh Vidiya. The history of the Baba Darbara Singh Akhara isn't in question here, and if you do wish to question it please make a visit to the Akhara and I'm sure Gurdev Niddar Singh will be happy to discuss the history there. If you want to carry this on, please go through my article again and show me where there is a translation error.
  10. First of all, you said I have made a mistake in the translation, please show me where there is a translation mistake. Patebaaz here obviously refers to gatka, if you do not accept that then you are truely blind to what gatka is, and how they perform it. The gatkabaaj in the photo I posted on that article himself said to me, "Gatka is not a martial art, but rather just a way to get kids into Sikhi". Now I have not even mentioned Gurdev Niddar Singh in the article, why do you bring him up? Everyone knows the real 'vidiya' is called Shastar Vidiya, read old historical granths, i.e. Suraj Prakash etc. Are you bringing him up simply because Gurdev Niddar Singh is the only openly teaching Shastar Vidiya teacher in the world right now? And since you disagree with Gurdev Niddar Singh then you disagree with the puratan Shastar Vidiya, which the Guru's themselves taught to the Singhs?
  11. Mithar, you still have yet to show me where my translation is incorrect or shows bias.
  12. I always seek to ensure the translations on the site are as literal as possible, to ensure there is no bias in the translation. For this my site has been praised by many people, with little to no complaints. However, you seem to imply that there is a translation error, which is fine, everyone makes mistakes, especially me. Please do show me line by line where there are mistakes in the translation.
  13. ਪਟੇਬਾਜ literally means to swing a gatka stick, if you look it up in Mahan Kosh it will describe it as: ਪਟਹ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ. After reading the above definition it is hard not to equate Gatka with the term Patebaaz. Even Gatkabaji's will acknowledge that gatka is a game/sport and not a real martial art designed to kill [which should be the real aim for a real warrior]. Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranvale clearly states that for the second type of vidiya there is no show/performance, there simply the notion of kill or be killed. Now you assume that has no relevance to the Baba Darbara Singh Akhara headed by Gurdev Niddar Singh in UK, and that is fine. Other's who know the art might connect the dots if they are aware of the vidiya and have seen the ferocity, highly complex, killing martial art. However, there is no mention of Gurdev Niddar Singh on my post, and for you to assume that I am talking about it shows your insecurity. The fact that you bring up Gurdev Niddar Singh shows you already have some sort of prejudice against the Baba Darbara Singh Akhara. I am not targeting anyone, in fact I know the Singhs in that picture as well. If they had a problem about it they can contact me personally, but they have not, so why do you have a problem with it?
  14. How would you define, Pate Baaz? And what comparison is Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranvale trying to make then?

  16. Vadiyana to all, today, October 17th is Dusshera. http://www.manglacharan.com/2010/10/dusshera-gurbilas-patshahi-10.html
  17. So do you think that this pangati is telling us to forsake and abandon respectful conduct towards our family members? The pangati is part of the shabad where Kabir Ji responds to his mother who is telling Kabir to basically leave Bhagati of Ram Parmesvhar. The first two pauris are Kabir Ji's mother and the last lines are Kabir Ji responding to His mother showing his loyalty to his Bhagati over the family business etc.
  18. How it works according to Baba Ji is that when most people die they go to certain lok's [world's], i forget which one, but there are various ones Kam/Tsingh/N3o probably know them off by heart. But in certain lok's there is a need for food, and doing shraad once a year sustains them for the year, and they then give blessings towards the one doing the shraad. Just like many sakhis of the Gurus talk about how when any Sikh recites 'Vahiguru' before putting any food in their mouth, that food goes into the Guru's mouth, and thus sustains the Guru [ref the sakhi of Guru Amar Das Ji when Sangat asked Guru Ji to partake in Langar]. Like Baba Ji said, if food can reach the Guru, then why not our ancestors? As the katha in Nanak Prakash described, Baba Kalu Ji's parents and grandparents were in Baikunt, where there is no need of 'bhukh pyaas' [hunger or thirst], so there was no need to do it. However this is not the case for everyone as Baba Ji described. Even if it doesnt reach your ancestry then at least you are doing pun daan [charity] for the needy or gursikhs in langar.
  19. Just as clarification, this is not Baba Ji's views, he is narrating a story that occurs in Sri Nanak Prakash Granth by Kavi Santhok Singh Ji. So the practise of Shraad has been respected by Janamsakhi B40, Nanak Prakash, and various Rehatnamas.
  20. Show me if Gurbani says clearly against Shraad, it only speaks against the hypocrisy that people do with it. No, rather the Bikhia was the hypocrisy of their practises, their pakhand. If it was such a forbidden practise then why do various Rehatnama's from the 1700th century also mention that this practise is to be done?
  21. Please do not comment before listening to the explanation by Baba Ji. This is obviously speaking about the hypocrisy and pakhand that the Brahmins were doing. This is obviously speaking about the hypocrisy and pakhand of people who do not really care for their family but rather just practise Shraad as a dekhavaah. What does this have to do with Shraad? Kabir here isnt attacking Shraad but rather saying people have focused upon Shraad and have forgotten Rab. I wonder, do you just search for 'Shraad' in sikhitothemax and copy and paste the lines without even reading them or the context they are written in?
