  1. Yes I do agree with all of you on this matter. Plus think about it when we were kids and at weddings and we saw our dads and uncles gettig totally drunk and it makes you think if they can drink why cant I. I think this is one of the major causes why asian guys and gals drink. And when you have taken a few drinks you then want to try other things like smoking etc. Our parents do need to educate us further with sikhi. I think they should at least sit us down for an hour a so and tell us why it is so important to be a sikh.
  2. One of my mates lost his brother a few weeks ago to cancer The thing is his brother never drank or smoke or did drugs. But the thing is he tells me that he sees people all the time who drink so much and smoke and do drugs and have sex all the time, and these people hardly ever have any problems. What do I tell him that this is not the case.
  3. I have a girl friend who I love dearly. I have been with her for 4 years now and hopefully very soon we will be getting married. I dont see it as a crime that we are together. I beleive by being with her she has brought me more closer to sikhi. We havent done anything we would be ashamed off beacuse we do want to wait after marriage but not going to lie we have been tempted.
  4. Any where I go people are so strict about their caste. Like we are jatt or tarkan. People never say we are sikh but we are this caste. Then the same people say caste doent matter I just dont understand it. If people keep thinking like this what hope is there for sikhi
  5. Hi to everone. I lost my father to cancer a few years ago and it was really hard for me my mum and sisters. Beacuse of this, all the responsibility was on me and I did used to blame god for putting all this on my head. But with time you understand births and deaths happen, he has written when people are born and died and no one change that. Time is a great healer. Just out of interest we scattered my dads ashes near a gudwara in india, near amritsaar. But is there a place like that over here in the uk, I was just interested to see if there was
