    I doubt you are not allowed to do more than 5 chandi di vaar paat a day as in Bhaini Sahib now there are continuous jap of Chandi di vaar, theyre aiming to get sava lakh done (125000)

    Does this thread include Bhangra tune replicating, I have a recording of Bhai Amarjit Singh singing Guru ji ke darsan in the latest Sukhshinder Shinda song tune (gum sum gum sum)

    Regarding the lack of mastanay in diwans is not due to the lack of naam simran, Ustad Harbhajan Singh has stated MANY times that Satguru ji doesn't allow mastanay to get to that stage in divans.

    I have heard Satguru Jagjit Singh say that certain shabads, i think it was 'paavan naam jagat meh har ko', sung in 18beats dhrupad, raag hameer(written in another raag, shabad starting with 'nar achet paap teh darreh') was from the time of Guru Ram Das, that composition, or maybe I heard wrong? That is why I thought that there were other raags allowed.

    Thanks Shaheediyan, I heard of the text before but didn't know anything about it. Is it accepted by Akaal Takht/mainstream sikhism or only applied to namdhari/kuka belief?

    As mentioned before in another topic, I mentioned kirtan sung by rababis in a different raag from what it is written in. What do people think about this?

    why don't we get a painter to do LOADS of bhagti, get darshan and then paint them! Simple as (LOL)

    Some rababi's have said that bandishes have been sung by different Guru's in different raags, from what they written as. Does this mean they were lying? Or does it allow some flexibility in the raag that the shabad is sung in?
