  1. Hindu rulers never presented a united front to the Turks. They were intensely individualistic or clannish. This same mentality was exploited by British companies as well. I hope the following observation may help. http://harsh-verma.sulekha.com/blog/post/2002/12/the-hindu-defeat-failure-of-leadership-in-past.htm The_hindu_defeat.doc

Legend traces the 3000-year-old art form to Sage Parasurama- the master of all martial art forms and credited to be the re-claimer of Kerala from the Arabian Sea. Kalaripayattu originated in ancient South India. Kung- fu, popularized by the monks of the Shoaling Temple traces its ancestry to Bodhi Dharma - an Indian Buddhist monk and Kalaripayattu master. 4. Please next time break debate in segments. For example, Charitropakhyan, Krishanaavtar etc... Discuss one topic and ask challenger party to send in their concerns in writing before the live debate. The written points of concern should be read before the debate and host should ensure that both parties stick to them. It will be waste of time, if you decide topics of discussion on the live T.V.
  5. I didn't enjoy the debate much because it was very unorganized but still I appreciate their efforts. I believe that debates should be on few points not on the whole Sri Dasam Granth Sahib in one session. I would suggest next time they ask "challenger" party to send their two or three points only. The party who is there to defend should be informed of these points, so they can be well prepared. Jeoanwala should have been asked to discuss two to three major points on this live debate, as that would have not lead to Micky Mouse match on the live T.V. Next time, the debates should be divid
  6. Thanks! For the reply. I believe it's clear that Guruji mentioning "Vishnu" as Bishen here. I have seen posts on other forums where they have shown this line as derogatory. Actually, Guruji is not disrespecting but simply reminding of almighty's worship.

  8. I came across "Bishen" during my search for mythology. The following I found for it. Guru Sahib mentions "Kishen-Bishen".. Is it possible that he was referring to simply "Krishana and Vishnu"? BISHEN m Indian (Sikh) Variant of VISHNU Source: http://www.behindthename.com/nmc/ind.php Source: Click here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishen 'Mai na ganeseh pritham manaoon, kishen bishen kabhoon na dhianonn. I don't recognize Ganesh, Krishana or Vishnu... It's just my curiosity as it goes very well with the whole sentence. I hope Sri Dasam Granth scholars may shed some
  9. I wonder sometimes that how much will be the cost to live as human? Is it possible for super power countries to leave their ego and spend money to make this world little bit better? They are finding new technology to destroy and if they find technology to built?
  10. The simple thing to remember is that do not run away from your responsibilities. In Guru-Mat, it's must to keep up with worldly responsibilities while walking on the path of spirituality. Your spiritual progress will lead you and show you the path. We can not tell about taste of orange unless we try it, so keep going deep in spiritual swimming.
  11. Read about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lahiri_Mahasaya ... If this great soul can do it then everyone can do it. He was an accountant and that's very stressful job. Let me make it clear that I am not trying to convert you to his path because spiritual path is very personal. We should explore ourselves with the help of our Guru/Gyan ... Interesting: 53. Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib > Guru Granth Sahib is Shabad Guru > Shabad needs vichar > So find Vidya Guru who can give you vichar of Shabad > Once you get the Vichar, you will understand your true Guru > The journey will begin from here and it's journey > If you fall behind or simply go astray just try again > Bhai Gurdas got distracted after having wisdom of scholar > Do not feel bad if you don't get it > Keep on going > Meditate, Meditate and meditate more > Once you get to your inner self, you will be on the right track... 15. This show just opened my eyes. There are individuals who were Muslims in their past birth and now born as Hindu/Sikh ... I agree with Neo Singh's comments that there is no favoritism in God's court.

  19. Four young researchers encounter the issue of caste, and challenge their own perception of how caste functions in India. One of the questions that this doc poses for me (apart from questions and concerns about caste-based discrimination itself) is how does the "perception vs. reality" of other types social exclusion function in other places around the world? In Canada for example... This has been produced as part of the Knowledge Community on Children in India (KCCI) Summer Internship Programme. 2007, UNICEF India.
  20. Dr. Brian Weiss is the best person to have Past life Regression sessions. He thinks it's real and we really go through these previous births whether someone believes in it or not... http://www.brianweiss.com/ Following is must watch episode for the ones who believe in religious sacrifices of animals.
