I got to say. Been on my mind for a bit.
The whole Durga/Chandhi thing in Sikhi is something most of us today (if anyone does!) don't really fully understand. Dasmesh pita's allegorical use of the myth of Chandi is something that is very important. His use of this was something central to imparting a some sort of psychological conditioning that helped our ancestors through inconceivable tough times.
Remember one thing, Punjab has had a strong Shakt tradition. Chandigarh, Jallandhar the rakshas killed by the Chandi, Ambala though now in Haryana geographically the name is associated with the Amba form of Chandi. When someone gets very angry they say Chandi jagrit ho gayi ohde ch ...for the Kshatri vansh they Primary form of worship is of the Shakti. Today's day prachariks are giving different stories and explanations because they dont want to get into the mess of being called rss agents or of hinduising Sikhi is what i feel.

is there a rehat maryada or some guidlines or something to follow to have darshan of shaheed singhs. I know they are not the ultimate goal, but it is definitely a milestone on the path.
I think I can maybe feel their presence at times.
If you believe that they exist and will Darsahn then you will surely experience. Faith can move mountains, you just need to have it.

The above is the state of a Gurmukh Brahamgyani. Not only does he see deities as Sri Akaal Purakh, he sees Waheguru jee everywhere (and in everyone) and considers himself to be Waheguru too (Anna al Haq state).
One can also argue that if everything is Sri Akal Purakh, then why not we start worshiping animals, plants, humans, etc.
No one is worthy of worship, other than the one and only Sri Akaal Purakh Sahib jee. This is the basic core principle of Sikhism. But, we do need to respect the deities. There is no doubt about it.
Bhul chuk maaf
bro this feeling to be One with Akaal has to come from inside and with kindness and compassion . It shouldnt be krodh against any form . Sehajta is a state which is like a seed to the beginning of the feeling of everything merging in Akaal. Sri Akaal Ustat sahib Bani is what i feel Dasam Paatsaah ji who would have been in that state while composing . It is tough to describe since i have not understood it or experienced it .

All of the deities are Akal Purakh sahib only, nothing else.
He creates a play, a drama, between himself and his devotee.
By taking these plays/dramas, out of their context and saying these are all enacted by a different author, other than Akal Purakh sahib, is grossly mistaken.
Said, another way, if you think the deities are something other than Akal Purakh sahib, then you are mistaken.
Absolutely, i feel Jaap Sahib lays stress on this concept indirectly. The tuks have 'terms which are opposite to each other in describing Akaal. There is sargun and nirgun both.

But what is surprising, in terms of contemporary relevance of it, is the fact that members of the RSS-BJP [Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-Bharatiya Janata Party] were completely silent about it then. It was much later that they opened their mouth and began to blame the Congress for it.

they were saving Sikhs at that time i had heard of stories in Delhi and in the city where i reside i saw a live example wherein the house i had rented the owner was Sikh and had neighbors who were rss members ..when the mob came these rss members stood outside his house not allowing anyone to enter and claiming it was their house.

Its all about finding peace whether it is temporary or permanent Time will tell..atleast for now she is happy with her new found religion. I have no background of Sikhism , Gurbani gave me solace so i turned to Sikhi...i was 17 when movement towards Sikhi started after being given diksha by a monk of good awastha of Ramkrishna mission. ..i started visiting Gurdwara and attending Diwans on a regular basis ..partaking langar ..i was not into doing Nitnem paath ...just Sukhmani Sahib ..there was a mental stage that developed inside me around 2010 -2011 wherein i started thinking radical..during that time period i disowned every association to anything that would be Hindu. I even wanted to change my religion in the certificate. ..Gradually as i started doing paath this radical thought receded ..the concept of Akaal became more clear ..Aad and Dasam Bani helps me stay strong ..

Bhai Mokham Singh Ji was the avtar of Bhagat Namdev Ji I think that's what Sant Ji said, Bhai Dharam Singh Ji was Bhagat Dhanna Ji 's avtar and Bhai Himmat Singh Ji (i had trouble understanding it totally too)
Some Mahapurush even mentioned Raja Janak as one of the Panj Pyare..i read it somewhere donit remember now. It a good way to connect with Bhagats and Devtas is what i feel.

Very nice quote. However assuming uyou had wasted no time - would your life this moment have been different to what It Is?
i have firm belief in hukum..if i did not see light at one point of time it was that i did not have the hukum to see light then..how much ever targets i personally plan..if there has been no hukum given ..come what may things wont happen. At the same time my efforts have to come ..hukum to get success will come whenever it has to..

Is the timing restriction the only restriction though. Are there others as well which we may not be very aware of.
was discussing the same with a friend and he told me about what Baba Bulleshah would say - Kazi Panj vele te Bulla har vele
...which means for the Kazi it was Namaz time five times in a day however for Bulleshah every time was for namaz..I find this inspiring ..restrictions if you ponder on will always be..i have given in to such excuses and lost time...i feel it was just excuses for me for not doing bhagti.

I experienced a hug from God. I really needed a hug from the man of the house I.e. my husband to be specific. However he had made it clear that a hug will not just be a hug.. Some more will accompany it.
So this day, I was in a lonely but prayerful mood. Either I miss my prayer time or I miss the hug. I decided to forego the hug and settled down for prayer. That night I got my hug from invisible arms which I understand were of the almighty. I also understood that he has a spirit form.
I woke up feeling a bit sorry for God. Then I thought he has the whole world in his hands and he can get a body anytime he wants to. So anytime I come across the pangtis which talk about Guru ji getting a hug from God, I remember that experience and how God is there to provide support to his bhagats.
Funny enough I never paid any heed to those pangtis before. There are a number of them actually - now when I read them.
i personally feel we need to balance too..as a householder let there be no neglect to your husband ..physical hug is also of equal importance. Its about your thought process , at this stage the feeling to hug was strongly on your mind and those pangtis gave your thought process a gear up . Let the experiences keep coming...love fear, tears ..various expressions. I experience that my urge generally gets strong ...its all natural
