Guru Fateh to all, I am astonished to read that people can come to such a low level, that they start doubting their own Father, their Guru. You said what is the proof that SGGSji is complete Guru and Guru of sikhs? My question is : Are you a Sikh? Coz a sikh can never ask a question like that. A Sikh doesn't have doubt in his mind about SGGSji. But for your clarification I will tell you, its written in SGGSji itself. SGGS ji is Shabad Guru and Guru Nanak sahib himself said : "Shabad Guru, Surat Dhun Chela......." Is that not enough. Historical proofs proves that Guru Gobind Singh ji gace gurgaddi to SGGSji only not any other granth. But leaving a father you have faith in your uncle, no one knows whether that uncle is real or fake. As Gurbani in Asa ki vaar says "Khasam chodd duje lagey, dubbe se vanjareya, Satguru hai bohitha, virle kine vichareya......." Even in the dohra which we recite everyday, after the ardaas, (even if it is not Gurbani), claims: "Agya bhayee akaal ki, tabhay chalayo panth Sabh sikhan ko hukam hai, Guru manyo Granth" For more details read : http://www.sikhmarg.com/2006/0827-damdmi-granth.html You have started doubting SGGSji, by the way who gave authority to Bachittar Natak Granth (so called Dasam Granth), whose name have changed so many times. If Guru Gobind Singh can add Guru Teg Bahadur ji's Bani in SGGSji, if he had written his own bani, why couldn't he wrote his bani in SGGSji. There was no restrictions for him to do that. He was Guru and he had right to do that. Except the writings which are at par with SGGSji, are included in Nitnem and Amrit Sanchar according to Sikh Rehat Maryada, Sri Akal Takht Sahib. 60% of DG is full of vulgarity, others have rituals which is not gurmat, and the writings which are mythological and are not even no way closer to the ideology of SGGSji. For your kind information, Brahmanical teachings are there in DG, not SGGSji. For eg: "Ab mai apni katha bakhano........Mur pit purab kiyas payan, bhant bhant ke tirath nana... Jab eh jaat triveni bahye, punn daan din kart bitaye... tahi parkash hamar bhayo, patna shahar vikhe bahv layo... Tell me, which Gurmat is this. Guru Teg Bahadur condemned all the rituals, and he himslef will indulge himself in these rituals. Guru Teg Bahadur ji himself in Gurbani says (p 1428 SGGS) "Teerath barat ar daan kar, man mai dhare gumaan Nanak nihfal jat tih, jeo kunchar isnaan" Those who make pilgrimages to sacred shrines, observe ritualistic fasts and make donations to charity while still taking pride in their minds - O Nanak, their actions are useless, like the elephant, who takes a bath, and then rolls in the dust. ||46|| There are so many examples like this, my dear.

I am not making claims, then you tell me where is the mention of Amrit in DG. Singh or Kaur doesn't comes from DG, it was given so as to maintain uniformity, taking out the gots from the name, as people use to write and still write their surnames. No one disclaims Amrit, it was a unanimous decisions of sikhs to have Jaap Sahib, Chaupai and Sawwaiye alongwith Japji Sahib and Anand Sahib. DG was not even there when Guru Sahib blessed sikhs with Amrit. Is SGGS incomplete Guru? Amrit can be made with the banis of SGGS ji also. But untill there are modifications in SRM, the present maryada needs to be followed. Amrit ceremony the most important one and historic aspect in th elife of Sikh, is not even mentioned in DG. So how you call it as writing of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. There are other historic facts which are not mentioned in DG, which are important, missing from DG. If DG can have all other mythologies of Hindus, the most important Amrit ceremony, Guru Sahib ji forgot? Come on man.....be realistic. Yes, there is mention of how sikh of Mahaakaal can be made in DG. "Mahakaal fo sikhya kar, Madira Bhaang pilaye." To become Sikh of Mahakaal, Madira (Sharaab etc.) and Bhaang is needed. Now you will say Mahakaal is God. Mahakaal is death, ........ anyway this is not the topic, it was for ur reference. Read the verse of SGGS ji, "Jap gobind gopal laal, ram naam simar tu jivay, phir na khayee mahakaal"

Yes, I have partaken "Khande dee pahul". So, what do you have to say about it? You mean to say, if you are Sikh of SGGS then Khande dee pahul is partaken, while reciting Jaap Sahib, Chaupai and Sawaiyye which are from DG, alongwith Japji Sahib and Anand Sahib. So, no one has the issue with these writings which are at par with SGGS. But, that doesn't mean that whole of the DG is writing of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. This is the key factor which needs to be understood. When Panthic Sikh Rehat Maryada (SRM) of Sri Akal Takht Sahib was made, it was a unanimous decision by the scholars and Gursikhs that this would be the guideline. No one has contradicted that. SRM in Section 3, Chapter IV, Article 5e clearly says - No book should he installed like and at par with the Guru Granth Sahib . Worship of any idol or any ritual or activity should not be allowed to be conducted inside the Gurudwara. Main concern is that people are placing DG at par with SGGS at Hazoor Sahib, Patna Sahib, Dum Dummy Taksaal, Nihangs and few others, like Smethwick Gurudwara in UK. Who gave the authority? Guru Gobind Singh ji ordaned Guruship to SGGS only. DG can be read, no problem but its not our Guru. Few of the writings whose concept is at par with SGGS should be read. Most part of DG is not even writings of Guru Sahib. The above said Takhts & jathebandis are violating Guru's order and SRM. This is where the friction comes. As you have written if I beleive only in SGGS, how I am Amrtidhari. For more clearity see the definition of Sikh in SRM Section 1, Chapter 1, and Article 1 Any human being who faithfully believes in i. One Immortal Being, ii. Ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Sahib to Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, iii. The Guru Granth Sahib, iv. The utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus and v. the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru, and who does not owe allegiance to any other religion, is a Sikh Now u will say it is written in SRM "The utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus", then Tenth Guru wrote DG, that is where the problem is. There is no indication, except a few writings which can be authentically said to be of Guru Sahib. 60% of DG is Charitropakhyan, a real crap, and so many other compostitions, which we people are trying to put on Guru Sahib's name. Anyway, coming to the point, in SGGS, First 5 Gurus from Guru Nanak Dev ji to Guru Arjan Dev ji's shabads, then Guru Teg Bahadur ji's shabads alongwith Bhagats and 3 gursikhs' shabads are compiled. Guru Hargobind Sahib, Guru Har Rai ji, Guru Harkrishan Sahib and Guru Gobind Singh's Bani is not there. That doesn't mean that we don't have respect for the gurus who doesn't have their bani. Guru is a Guru. So why do we impose DG's writings on Tenth Guru?

Akal Takht is a not mere building, its a concept, which needs to be understood. 3 of these Jathedras including Gurbachan Singh don't follow sri Akal Takht Sahib's Sikh Rehat Maryada. These are the people who have demoloshed the significance of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, not Prof. He himself says in kirtans samagams to follow SRM according to AKT.

Gurbachan Singh is propagting the issue. Everyone know that Prof. Darshan Singh went to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. It was in news on TV and Newspaper. In the letter sent to Prof. it was written to appear at Akal Takht, not in the room. Right? So where is the question of not appearing. But now the question arises, Jathedars who themselves are "Tankhiya", can they call they summon someone else. For instance: 1. Iqbal Singh, Jathedar Patna Sahib & Jathedar Hazoor Sahib, Kulwant Singh are themselves Tankhaiya, as at Patna Sahib, DG prakash is done at par with SGGS, Aarti and Bell ringing are done, which are against Sikh Rehat Maryada. 2. Giani Gurbachan Singh is Tankhaiya too, as he has faith in DG also, and promotes DG, bows in front of DG,which is against Sikh Rehat Maryada So how can all these summon Prof. to Sri Akal Takht. Prof. is awakening the Sikhs against the bad part of DG, not against Nitnem Banis.
