  1. To the person who posed this question: What you need to ask yourself is if you have experienced sikhi??? Are you committed to the path.? Those that are will not consider dancing and "punjabi culture". The khalsa has its own culture, its own way of interactions, and in all of these interactions you will find the essence of Satguru teachings, which is the very sap of there life. You will find the love of god in all of it. But if you are not committed to the path then of course you will say this because you don't know really what this world is, and that we have to answer for all of our deeds. Have you experienced Amrit Raas??? If not your thinking will also and I am sorry to say this, but will be geared towards pleasing others and not towards the truth of life. A great sant once said there are 2 types of karmas good and bad, whatever breath you don't remember god you have planted a bad karma which you will have to answer for. You are thinking this world is true and you will last forever. When you realize that we are hear for a cause, which is to fall in love with god, you will not even think of doing these "neech karmas". This is one of the main teachings of bani: "don't waste your time!!!!!"
  2. hEY WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINKS ABOUT THE PAD-CHEN/ LAREEVAAR PRiNTING ISSUE. Should saroops only be in the laree vaar font for printing or is pad-chen ok and is it still gur poora in pag chen. Any input from those of you who may have heard stories or sangat with the great sants of our time like baba nand singh, baba isher singh, baba attar singh etc, etc would help. What are your views???
  3. By what great fortune do we get to have Guru Granth Sahib in our homes? What are your thoughts? How are we to keep the guru at home. Space is so limited with so many people. We have a small room with the takhat posh and a smal version of a sukhassan palang. How are we supposed to clean the beer, like from dust etc and what about rumalas? I know some people use a cloth and wipe the pages. Is that the norm, or is there another way? It seems the ink gets blured or starts to fade. Any thoughts maybe even from the lives of the gurus or sants? When we do something for guru jee. like make a palki, bed etc etc how do we know it is accepted how do we know we are not upsetting or hurting satgurus saroop? Hey NEO singh what do the sants that you have read about or met say about this???? No offence when I was asking about sant teja singh I merely needed to know to clear my own doubts. So Sorry for hurting anyones feelings!!!
  4. No Offence but where is his kirpan???? How strict were the great brahm gyanees like baba nand singh, baba isher singh, baba attar singh when it came to there kakarrs? Did they take them of while bathing. Photos like the one above you can find of all baba's but did they take of there kirpans?
  5. We have kangas that are really dark and are coloring our hair, we have tried to wash these but they keep on coloring again. We don't have a super supply of kangas but they are all this color. Is there a special formula to clean these. Pleas help asap!!!!! Is this punishable under the rehat, for the coloring I mean??
  6. I was listening to the suleman tape again. Suleman says that a guru that has passed away cannot give you mukti. Which is why Mohammed could not save him as he says because he did not pass on the light. So what we have to realize here is that Guru Nanak did not pass away, only the work of his human body did, the "Light" was passed on from guru to guru then eternally to Guru Granth Sahib jee, who is our eternal guru. Now the brahm gyanaees will sit at Gur Jee's Tabya and do parchar, and help us understand it more. That is why during amrit sanchaar the panj piaree say that nobody can call you "nigura" from this day on, because you have a guru and that is why it so important to take amrit. So we have to clear up this issue. Guru Granth Sahib is our guru and the Brahm Gyanee's are like Gur jee's commanded agents who get the light from Guru Granth Saheb and with his blessing come to this world and remind again and again that Guru Granth Sahib is the eternal Guru. They are all basically one with a different body, which is what Suleman is saying, to look at the light inside them, this is just a body, or in the case of the present guru rumalas or ink, you have to look deeper into them and see the one light. Baba Nand singh jee once while doing sukhasan disapeared into Guru Granth Saheb, which just goes to show us that they are all one, and so are we but we have not "seen" it yet. Please let me know your thoughts.
  7. Just a quick question, it seems that when ever I see pictures of the well known baba jee's like sant attar singh, sant nand singh, sant isher singh, I never see them with a kirpan, and even if you read there life stiries they sat for like how many days in intense bhagti, just wearing a kachera, so what about there kakars, are they just beyond them or do I not know something? I was seeing a picture of Baba Gurdev singh of Nanaksar he was wearing one of those see through kurtas, but I can't see a sree sahib on him, do they just not where them?
  8. JUST A QUESTI0N, it is said that Guru Granth Sahib is "Kaljug da Jahaaj" and is also said that Guru Granth Sahib is "JUGHO JUG ATAL". There are many references to kaljug as a time frame in GGS, like "Kaljug main Keertan .....", so what happens when kaljug is finished? What I am trying to ask is what happens when kaljug is finished, will GGS be not out of its time? No disrespect meant, just trying to understand!!!!
  9. Where can I get these tapes and videos?
  10. Sorry to keep pounding this thing to death, but I just need to understand this whole murshad concept. There is this huge pull in me to meet someone as babji, I have longed for so long, with no luck. Someone who can guide me further. Where we learned gursikhi and took amrit when I was like 12, they realy did not accept the sant philosophy. So I never really believed in them, then this camp closed down, and I was left to figure things out on my own. I had one day sent away from satnam trust for some books on sikhi, and included was a small english version of the life story of sant attar singh, nand sing, and the rehat maryada of taksal written by baba gurbachan singh. I remember when I used to read those books, and even now by eyes swell up and my spine goes straight, to think if I had such great company. My dad recently went to india and went to rara sahib and brought back the book "ruhani updesh", the life story of baba jee. Even when reading I had doubts about so called sants, then I realized that as I was reading it that I needed every little while go and mathatek to GGS, as my my eyes would swell up with love, then I realized what great things they did, and that they actually took us to GGS. And ever since I have relied on that compnay of there "vichaar". My question is I have been blessed with the sangat through book and tapes of so many sants like sant isher singh, baba nand singh, sant attar singh, taksal, baba harnaam singh, akj, etc etc. Then how to choose which to make your murshad, or is it a combination of all there gian, that we have to take as they are not hear with us physically. How do you communicate with them when you have a question???
  11. Does that mean if we are amritdhari, then we are nigura, according to that philosophy. What does it mean to take on a murshad? Does it mean to abide by what they tell you, in which case we could just read about there lives, and do what they said to do. Somehow this reduces my understanding/faith in GGS, if we cannot succed wothout a murshad. I always thought that was the beauty in sikhi, no need for a middle man.But I do understand your point that we need someone to guide us. LET me know your thought on these questions. Do you have a murshad?
  12. I was listening to suleman the ghost tape. Suleman says that we need a guru "moorshad". Does he mean that we need a sant or does it mean that we should amrit and become of guru granth sahib. Does he a physicall guru that can guide us step by step. Totally confused
  13. So I was finally able to download the whole file. So let me get this straight suleman was talking through the child when this was recorded? Where was baba isher singh. He interestingly also names sant attar singh mastuana, and sant nand singh, now does he mean of Nanaksar? When he says we need a guru does he mean a sant or mahapursh, or does he mean that we take amrit and make guru nanak our guru? Its intresting that he was kinda a black magic priest but he read the koran but still did not have a guru, that kinda strange. If we solely take amrit and just do sava simran does that mean we do not have a guru? What are your thoughts?
