Well, even though the post has lots of irregularities about Sikhism..as in calling it Sanatan Dharma..Sikhism is NOT Sanatan Dharama. This is a Hindu terminology, so leave it there. No need to try to join two Separate religions and beleifs the same way. Having said that, I do agree that Idol Worship of Sikh Gururs should be stopped. Whether its done in Hindu Mandirs or Sikh homes. This is against tenets of Sikhism for one thing and also, I don't think HIndus need to display our Gurus pictures everywhere (as its commonly done by RSS, Shiv Sena etc), if they don't even know what their teachings were and what Sikhism preached to the world. Fateh!

Actually, you are right in observing that. I read somewhere a while back that Iranian flag used to look different but it was changed during revolution. And the symbol was adopted from Sikhism..hence the Khanda! Why?? not sure, but it does look like Khanda ..maybe just the whole thing about 2 swords, that they found appealing..I know UAE or some other arab country has their symbol with 2 swords crossed over..like in Khanda.

I have heard that from SOME people but as far as my opinion, its a bunch of Hindu crap/propaganda and unfortunately some of the Sikhs actually speak about it as historically true. There is no link with All Sikh Gurus descending from Ram's family..just apply logic instead of listening to some babe and you will figure it out. The points made on Sodhis, Bhallas etc. are not even valid and easy to manipulate! get some actual evidence and you will know. Also, how can you even compare or want to compare Guru Nanak to someone like Ram Chander. Baba Nanak spoke about women's rights, equality unlike this Ram Chander who kicked his pregnant wife out of the house because somebody said stuff. Please don't give me the crap on Ram Rajya because his wife's rights were clearly violated under this Raj. And even to this day, in India women are treated like crap because dumb people worship Ram Chander as God. So how can you even link Guru's to this family's lineage. Its an Insult to principles and logic of religion like SIkhism./

To show Khalsayee Shaan to people and make them aware of the Sikhism! It started in Moguls days to show Khalsa's jalal, just like Moguls did their's. And now its a tradition world wide. Good way to educate people about Sikhi. Imagine if it was just held in Gurdwaras, the local media probably won't cover it much and other's won't know about SIkhism. Now when we do Nagar Kirtans which are miles loong, everybody is curious to find out and its covered in media as well!
