I don't know. I think love marriages are a bad idea because you can't commit adultery before marriage. It is a bujjar kurehit. Not that those people might.. but also a love marriage just brings more kaam into you, which we are trying to get rid of.. Heres an example: 1. Love marriages are due to kaam, because when people tell each other they like each other, its because they are in love with their image, beauty, not their soul.. 2. Why do love relationships start? because of kaam ***Look at our gurus, they did not get married with love marriages, they adopted the style of arranged marriage, did they not??? What is greater? following our gurus, or following our mind... These days people adopt something we know as manmat, because most of us are manmukhs. I, for one, am a manmukh. We listen to our mind, not our guru entirely. If we were real sikhs of the guru, some of us would not be on the computer, instead we would be doing naam jap. The whole idea of love marriage is considered okay by the followers of www.sikhnet.com or i don't know just plain old regular people. I don't really have anything against a love marriage, if people are concerned that they'll get married to someone that they might hate, they should do ardaas to guru ji, heck start doing paath now, and we might get to leave the world and unite with god. (of course i do not practice this line)) The real reason of a marriage of gursikhs is for them to remember god, so it can become an easier task, then they are one soul in 2 bodies

But the majority that do it are situated in the United Kingdom. In canada, there are very few. Although this problem may truly exist in calgary...

yes i know some bibian in canada do it, but not the akj ones for sure, or the damdami taksaal ones... it is some other ones.. i will not mention there names; for nindya can be very bad..

dont know, some ppl say how can u believe in the teachings of the gurus, if u havent taken amrit,, ntohingrite now, im brainwashed i know that guru ji said rehit bina no sikh kahavai.... but how many of us are really keeping this rehit?

Anyways i know my views seem talabanistic, but in our very own shromani gurdwara parbhandak commitee rehit maryada it says a sikh is one who believes in the baptism bequeated by guru ji, and that is to say, how can u say ur a sikh, if you have not taken amrit.. wjkk wjkf

What will cutting contact with them do? Nothing really, they will think they are being avoided, this might hurt their feelings if you know of any kurehit committing people.. But you know what, this issue can be resolved, someone should explain to them what real beauty is, and how it is stronger then artificial beauty.. :idea:

Get your facts straight. I'm not akj. Neither do I support most of their beliefs. All i can say is they are gursikhs. And you should respect them. 8)

Well first of all you have deceived the guru by drinking. You are not a sikh yet. So its all good. hey they are still not sikhs just because they follow dhan dhan sri guru nanak dev ji they are almost like radhaswamis, who believe that salvation can be attained without taking amirt
