Guest Posted July 6, 2003 Report Share Posted July 6, 2003 The comedian (or should I say "comedian") Richard Jeni, whose most memorable work involves uninspired Doritos commercials from the 80s seems to have it in for Sikhs ("people wearing turbans") and Indians. On "Tough Crowd" with Colin Quinn tonight (6/31, 11:30 pm Eastern, Comedy Central), he pointed out that : a) in an earlier comedy show of his he said that men "with turbans" shouldn't be allowed on planes. and implied "Indians" were wrong to write in and correct his obvious blunder. Mr Jeni used a fake and intentionally demeaning "Indian" accent to deliberately insult those who were defending the Sikh community.
