The Mufti and the Fuhrer:

Who was the Grand Mufti, Haj Muhammed Amin al-Husseini? See here:

I always find it amusing when Muslims call those who diagree with them Nazis, especially when there was close cooperation between Islam and National Socialism.

If a sikh is a rapist are all sikhs rapists, we should glorify the good in all religions and not focus on the negative

I'm sure Adolf Hitler was kind to his dog, but he was still a monster and the epitome of evil.

Feel free to continue to ignore history, but I'd prefer not to walk around wearing rose-tinted spectacles.

Besides, IMO mainstream Islam at this point in historical time isn't so much a religion, as it it is a fascist political ideology of Arab imperialism. I believe that this strand of religious Islam as political Islam has existed since the beginning of the religion, but it seems much more obvious now to many.

You cannot tar all people with the same brush, there is much that is positive in Islam. I understand that you should not wear rose tinted spectacles but until you clear out your drishti don't spread your shit about the place. I would put you in the same bracket as the mufti as you support Aleister Crowley and express admiration for his work, when he is proved to be a supporter of the nazi superman ideology, which he wrote about automatically in his book the law when he was controlled by demonic forces

Mate, let go of your obsession with demons, unnameable machiavellian forces, and invisible people - the world is a fasciniating place without such superstitious nonsense.

And hello! You go on about seeing the good in religions and then you tar me with the Nazi brush because I appreciate Crowley's mastery of the English language? Does the word hypocrisy mean anything to you?

This is quite ignorant statement, ironically enough ignorant westerner would say same thing about Sikhism. How Sikhism is militant movement.

Two wrong does not make it right.

I am sure sri guru nanak dev ji should be very proud of us.

The difference between Sikhi and Islam is pretty obvious to anyone (an ignorant westerner or an ignorant Punjabi for that matter) who reads the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the Quran side by side. If you have not done so already, I would heartily recommend it.

FWIW, I have no doubt that there are many spiritually advanced Muslims, both those are usually the ones who ignore the verses of the Quran exhorting genocide of the jews, polygamy, the keeping of slaves, the jizya tax on non-Muslims and such.

As nihang yourself, i am sure you include sri akaal ustat in your daily prayers. My intention is not to compare sri guru granth sahib with quran. I consider Gurmat to be higher as well but that does not make other paths false, just like there is a difference between pride and false pride. May be we should try to understand message of Guru maharaj to this humanity. We are no doubt intentially or non intentially making Sikhi look like another typical missionary semetic dharam no need for outsiders to do that, we are doing it ourselves.

Neo Singh:

I also read Ugardanti which states that Sikhi is niara. Anyway, I'm not a Nihang, I'm nobody.

Fortunately or unfortunately Sikhs have had to fight to be a vakri quam whereas it is accepted that every other religion exists in its own right. Hinduism is a collection of distinct and diverse strands of religious influence, yet they are considered a single religion. Islam does not exist without Judaism and Christianity, yet they consider themselves a separate faith. Yet both of these religions want to swallow up Sikhi to make them part of themselves.

In my experience, Sikhs do not consider themselves higher or lower, better or worse, than any other religion, and they mostly believe that other religions offer their own rewards to their devotees. However, due to the attempts by Hindus and Muslims alike, Sikhs have had to fight for their right to exist and are still doing so, and as such I believe that there is nothing wrong in pointing out the differences at the level of morality, ethics, spirituality and scripture rather than concentrating on the similarities at the spiritual level as our Gurus did.

I will amend my last post to more accurately reflect what I mean and try not to generalise as much in future.

"If a sikh is a rapist are all sikhs rapists, we should glorify the good in all religions and not focus on the negative"

Only if everyone had this basic common sense. Many parts of Sikhi today are no different from other 'Truth and God' monopolising 'Faiths'.

Fateh!

Well, if 50% or more of Sikhs were rapists or believed that it was acceptable to rape, I would concerned that there something in Sikhi that promoted this. Would you not have the same concern?

Here's a message I posted to another place when someone made the obvious point that not all Muslims are terrorists. You may find some of the numbers ... concerning. ;-)

Here's another poll you may find interesting:

http://people-press.org/report/165/what-th...-thinks-in-2002

Take a gander at the number coming in from Islamic countries:

Note some of the conclusions from Muslim countries:

* The majority of Lebanese support suicide bombing.

* The majority of Nigerians who expressed an opinion support suicide bombing.

* The majority of Bangladeshis who expressed an opinion support suicide bombing.

* 47 percent of Jordanians who expressed an opinion support suicide bombing.

* 43 percent of Pakistanis who expressed an opinion support suicide bombing.

You might wonder why I use a poll from 2002? Because that was before the Iraq War, the event that is supposedly responsible for radicalizing Muslims against the Western world (and the U.S. in particular) like no other.

Some other interesting findings I've seen:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.ah...0.1/t.gif

This one finds that:

* The majority (52 percent) of Egyptians support the Sept 11th killings.

* Only 19 percent think Islamists were behind 9/11 (even the leader was an Egyptian), while 39 percent think it was an Israeli conspiracy.

Here's another one I found weird (not only because it came from The Guardian, either):

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/20...ent.september11

Poll in Egypt, 2006:

* Which country do you most hate? Top answer - USA.

* In which country would you most like to live? Top answer - USA.

And another Pew survey from 2007:

http://pewglobal.org/reports/display.php?ReportID=257

Which finds that:

* 42 percent of Nigerians support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 34 percent of Lebanese support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 23 percent of Jordanians support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 20 percent in Bangladesh support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 9 percent of Pakistanis support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 8 percent of Egyptians support suicide bombing of civilians.

* 57 percent of Palestinians support Bin Laden.

* 41 percent of Indonesians support Bin Laden.

* 38 percent of Pakistanis support Bin Laden.

* 20 percent of Jordanians support Bin Laden.

Contrary to what some may believe, people who point out these numbers do not hate all Muslims. In fact, I have many good Muslim friends who chose to reject Islamic teachings that condone and encourage the killing of innocents and converting everyone to Islam by force or deception.

Unfortunately, they are the minority, and most unfortunately they do not stand up and debate their more orthodox religious brethren because they know that what groups like the Taleban, Al Qaeda, Hizb ut-Tahrir, Hamas, Hezbollah and many others preach is real Islamic doctrine and their actions are based on the example of Mohammed who raped, killed, enslaved and assassinated in order to spread his creed. However, I do not ignore the obvious and concerning facts regarding present day Muslims either.

Regards,

K.

Kalyug,

Unfortunately the saying 'None so blind as those who refuse to see' is the perfect description for some on this forum. Most of these people had they been alive during the time of the Gurus would have been the ones who would have been asking the Guru to accept the oath of Aurangzeb because it was taken on the 'holy' Quran!

The world is a mad place. You have Muslims complaining about the US troops raping and pillaging Iraq and Afghanistan when there are very few cases of rape and those that are are punished quite quickly, yet they adhere to a religion that should they ever God forbid win a war against any non-Muslims their religion teaches them to rape, kill, enslave and strip the non-Muslims of their goods. A bit like the Nazis complaining that the Dresden bombings were a war crime!

Of course the reason that most Muslims can rationalise their hyprocrisy is that one raping and pillaging is due to the neo-con zionist crusader agenda whereas their raping and pillaging is ordained by Allah!

Kaljug Veer,

I expect if a similar poll was conducted regarding killing of civilians in Islamic countries, the results wouldn't be dissimilar.

Tony, I am of course blind - in teh true sense, but acknowledging that, it is unfair to make radical accusations re the Muslims and our Gurus history, don't forget, the conspirors of Panjven Patshahi di Shaheedi, were a little closer to home than you imply. And it was the Dasmesh Pitas Kshatriya neighbours that caused the original strife...

Jewish history is not free from the same accusations as made above, one only has to look at the bloody battles/slaughter commited by Joshuas armies (inspired by Moses), not to mention the 2,000 years or so of christian invasions/dominations. Let us not forget to mention the same actions of every other great civilisation including many Indian ones - the likes of Ashoka - and the later massacre/eradication of the Buddistsfrom our desh.

The Gurus, although acknowledging the loss of sight amongst Hindu/Turk, did not pain them all with teh same broad brush, quite the opposite, they had followers of both faiths employed in their Darbar as well as being good friends with some.

We are today no different from that which we dispise, the irony of it, yet we are BLIND to see it.

By posting offensive comments liek the ones admin on this forum allow - will do nothing for our own individual Sikhi, nor do anything for inspiring others, it simply makes us into the same examples of the animals we hate.

We are all made of the same - we all have the same light, we all have the same faults - we should learn to express ourselves intelligently in a way which inspires divine growth, rather than hate and tribal mentality. All we are doing here is creating a permanent divide and thus ruining the cosmopolitan nature of the Sikh and the puratan darbar...

No Mahapurkh would spew, propogate or justify the filth and hateful attitudes that are seen here.

Shaheediyan,

You appear to suffering from a severe case of moral equivalence. You excuse the atrocities of Muslims because according to you others such as Jews and Christians have also done the same. If we carry this further then you would excuse the genocide committed against Sikhs by the Mughal because had the Sikhs been in the same position then the Mughals would have suffered a similar fate. Your contention reeks of a desire to not face up to reality. Read up on Islamic law and you will see that it allows for all the atrocites such as rape, enslavement and murder for those who have been defeated by the Muslims. Such is not the case with those who lost to us Sikhs or those who have lost to the UK and US in recent years.

You contention that if a similar survey were to be held regarding the killing of civilans in Islamic countries then the result would be similar. This is a tall claim. Are you saying the 52% of people in the UK would be ok with their army killing civilians in Iraq indiscriminately? I serious doubt that would be the case. The cases taken up by the media prove that this would not be the case.

You are just a mirror reflection of the same low life 'in da hood' Pakistanis and White Facists who live in the UK - you are all Nazi seeds.

I'm not blind, I see the same poison in both your groups, luckily I do not do sangat with 'Sikhs' like you or 'Muslims' like those you (and I) despise.

I am lucky enough to know good and prejudice free people, on all sides of the coin (you obviously don't even know they exist).

I have also been to Malaysia (as an example) and have made many Malaysian Muslim friends, who were some of the kindest, spiritual, honest and hardworking people I have ever met ( I am talking about real people, not Govt policies). I choose to see and spend time with gold, rather than rust - an attitude I have learnt from my Gurus.

I used to know a girl from school, whose elder brothers used to give us a lift home sometimes. They were involved in and used to always brag about their P**i bashing excursions (same typical backward mentalit as yours). 7 years after leaving school, I found that their little sister had run away from her new home (1 day after getting married) and had appeared in the local newspaper with a picture of her and new Mulsim husband (apparently she hadn't had a register yet, just an anand Kharaj). That really made me think about mans attitudes, and the harsh lessons Vaheguru teaches people...

I am far from perfect, and have encountered nasty Pakistanis/Afgans in my time, but that was when I lived in a 'hood'. Changes in circumstance and Gurkirpa have enabled me to now meet many, many genuinely nice Muslims from a different srtata of society, who are in no way a minority, in fact my local hospital is full of Muslim medics, as are most Govt departments, educational establishments, law firms etc etc, most of which are practicing Muslims who hold a very different understanding of their faith than you do (no surprise as you are hardly an expert, just an abuse justifying hatemongorer).

Funny thing is that every time I have a negative thought in my head about Muslims (which I do sometimes thanks to the idiots that exists), Vaheguru always corects me INSTANTANEOUSLY through the kind words or actions of a Muslim. I can only hope you are blessed with these divine lessons one day.

Your experiences and hatred of Muslims is no different Bahadur Alis experience and hatred of Sikhs - you are both victims of poor circumstance - neither of you ever having had the changai karam to meet 'nice' people from the other side.

Carry on reading your pathetic, biased and 'real' representative stats - God always teaches haters very, very painful lessons, I only hope you stop spreading your hatered before its too late (I say that to you out of compassion, not anything else).

BTW, my mention of Jews and Christian histories was simply to show you one cannot judge a present day people on their past.

Sikhs were once a collective race of real warriors and saints – look at today, most Sikhs I have met haven’t read Sri Guru Granth Sahib and wouldn’t be able to defend their pet cat, let alone their defend their family...

Judge a man on his own merit, not on a historical base or umbrella group (Muslim), if one is to judge based on a specific group, then find out their interpretation of things 1st. Judge the man.

The British have committed unrepeatable atrocities for hundreds of years all around the world, yet you choose to live in the hornets nest according to historical judgement... sounds like a bit of double standard or hypocrisy ...

As an example read up on the ‘black line’ an exercise carried out in Tasmania by early British settlers – the genocide/extermination of a whole indigenous race.

Yes, there are bad Muslims, but there are plenty of bad Sikhs and bad everyone else too, we live in Kalyug mate!

Ishraqi, the difference is that the Muslims joined the Nazis because they BOTH were Anti semitic. The Sikhs and other Indian soldiers joined forces with the axis powers because they saw this as a chance to get rid of the British from our homeland.
