A lot of Wushu guys can perform the beautiful Eagle Claw forms very well, but with no gung fu their forms are empty of power. You cannot make eagle claw work as a functional martial art without devloping the strength in your finger tips and the almost non-human grip strength that eagle claw masters have to perfom the chin na (joing manipulation) that this style is famous for. But Hari Singh teaches these methods to all of his students from an early stage (you can see Hari Singh practising one such exercise in the video clips when he is shown holding jars filled with steel shot with his fingertips).
