shaheediyan Posted April 25, 2010 Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 One thing that struck me and stuck with me when I went to India a few years ago, was the poverty and intense love of the Nihang Singhs. Where ever I went (Punjab, Delhi, Maharasthra) whenever I met Nihang Singhs, I recieved great love and was shown much generosity, even though the large majority of them only seemed to own what they had on their person. This beautiful video of a blind Nihang Singh doing kirtan embodies the true meaning of what it means to become a Sikh - someone who can be lifted form any section of society (particularly a very unfair one like India), be made Guru Gobind Singh Jis son and find a very important purpose/role in life.
