@dalsingh101 - Also, did Sri Satguru jee (Tenth Master) got Kamasutra (or any other books on sex) translated in his Kavi Darbar?

Bhul chuk maaf

There was no need to, because they had created Charitrio Pakyaan, which is a much more broader text.

I don't get your point? That all Sikhs should be brahmcharia?

On Kama Sutra...

All things come from Naam.

Take Yoga, or Sanjoga anyway, for example. Initially a devotional practice of meditation to achieve its' namesake. You start doing Simran, you do it so long you must move, you don't wish to stop, you move to the next comfortable position, you continue Simran, you repeat, and through many experimental postures a number of particularly nice positions emerge as the depth of practice unfolds.

The action is Bhagti. The stretching and strengthening just happens.

So when doing Simran...with our partner...we see why there is no need for Kama Sutra in Sikhi. Select Sikhs are writing it privately and not talking about it publically.

Trust.

The true Sanjoga of Kama Sutra is known to Sikhs joined in Anand Karaj who follow their Guru's teachings at All times.

The action is Bhagti. The stretching and strenghtening just happens.

It talks about the "Dharamsaali Sikh". Daas is guessing that it applies to Hajoori Ragis, Hajoori Dhadis, Granthis, Kathavachaks, etc.

"Dharamsaala" referred to a Gurudwara in the Puratan times.

Why is everyone obsessed talking about kaam everywhere?

no one talks about krodh, lob, moh and ahinkaar?

Good point bro. We need to focus more on the other vices too.

On top of that, we also have the 5 Doshs - Ninda, Chuglee, Eerka, Assa and Andesa.

5 Kaleshs - Avidhya, Raag, Duash, etc.

Bhai ji, RC Christians have mandatory celibacy for their priests, and they have SERIOUS pedophile problems. If someone willingly wants to be brahmchari, fair enough. But I don't think anyone should be made to be so.

Amen bro. Huge difference between

Channeling, redirecting and releasing sexual energies, purifying oneself and attaining a state beyond Kaam to focus on one's Seva only, attainable and appropriate for the very few.

and

Supressing sexuality, especially of masses, and becoming a rapist, or culture of rapists, of some form, which is usually what happens.

That energy is so powerful, that when severely suppressed, it easily manifests as some form of deviancy.

When sexual energy is severely suppressed by ordinary people (from a spiritual standpoint), it can also possibly manifest in the form of mindless violence, hatred, jealously, aggressive behavior, excessive pride, etc.

Are you aware of any Gurbani verses, which can relate to the point which you made above?

IMHO, Sri Satguru jee must have definitely mentioned about sexual deviancy in Sri Aad Gurbani.

Don't you think Paaji, Sikhism has more tools to handle that immense sexual (and other) energy as compared to other religions. Like for example, Sikhism has different styles of Kirtan, different ways of doing Paath, Katha, Martial arts, Sewa, Mantra meditation, Strict hygiene(Cold showers, Panj Ishnaans, etc), Diet control, Yoga, etc.

@GurjantGnostic - What are your thoughts on the point above bro? You are from a Christain background, so you are in a good position to comment on this issue.

Having said the above, there is no doubt that the celibate lifestyle is definitely not meant for all.

Bhai ji, please, I respect people who want to follow this for spiritual reasons, but please, stop promoting it, we need to get our numbers up. Plus this is only the path for a few select ones, all Guru Sahiban was grisht-jeevan (apart from Guru Harkrishen maharaj).
