If it were spelled out simply like that, we perhaps wouldn't have half of the controversies we have over DG? I know some ultra-conservatives would still complain due to ANY reference to sexuality but surely they can be sectioned off as some small weirdo fringe. Are parts secular? To me it is all valuable, but obviously parts like Charitrio Pakyaan serve a very different purpose to Jaap Sahib. dalsingh101 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 One conclusion I have come to is that one cannot grasp the DG unless one is mentally mature, open minded and possessing of a certain degree of intelligence. That is what makes all of the usual suspects totally miss the point about it. It is a very deep, multifaceted work. Linear, simplistic descriptions of it doesn't work. It does contain a wealth of worldly and Indic cultural knowledge within, as well as spiritual matter.
