The film should automatically load the next chapter.

The Prodigal Son - thought of by many as the best Kung Fu movie - definately is the best Wing Chun movie.

Although Kung Fu is dramatised for 'cinema', some films have excellent exhibitions of application within them.

This film on the other hand is also as great entertainment as you can get - hilarious, alongside some great characters and fight scenes.

Enjoy.

Another classic and great film - The Snake in the Monkey's Shadow

This is a great film showing some excellent examples of Drunken, Monkey and Snake systems.

They are all 'smokey' but within the cinematic choreography there are some excellent examples of their applications and principles.

Monkey - is fast, aggressive and uses many tricks and the element of surprise - it also teaches great baiting skills.

Snake is very powerful and utilises 3/4 dangerous hand strikes (although only the stereotypical one is shown here) strikes are always to vulnerable parts of the body, particularly cavities. It is also powerful in re-directing/controlling attacks.

Drunken - I like all 3 systems, but this is probably my favourite as it teaches one to be totally soft and uses great body mechanics to evade strikes and excellent positioning to respond to them, contrary to belief, you don't actually need to act (or be) drunk! The drunken element simply refers to the more confident and relaxed state of mind/body has after consuming alchohol (this is not an advert or condonement for a glassy btw!). It's this relaxed mentality that teaches one to control tension - which is very dangerous in a fight if you don't know what you are doing. Tension in an opponent is basically the premise that many controlling/locking/twisting/grappling martial arts work on. Take away the tension - and you successfully have the basis for countering all these tension needing arts. Tension basically allows one to read your intentions and makes you 'commit'.

Enjoy the film - it also contains a great fight scene between a real Monkey and Cobra :-)

A modern day classic - Kung Fu Panda!

If you haven't watched this, you have to - it's absolutely brilliant LOL.

My daughters favorite film at present - it portrays of 5 famous Chinese animal fighting systems, has a better than Yoda (Star Wars) Baba, a scary villain and a hilarious hero who is very much akin to a Punjabi LOL.

Great entertainment - and way to get your kids (or even you) interested in martial arts!!
