People who stay away from evil coz of fear of GOD are normal people. Those who do so out of love for GOD are great ones. i never understood the meaning of this. Later on i realised by Guru's grace, that its a stage when u are so much in love with WAHEGURU, that u don't wanna do any wrong. Not because HE will punish u, but becoz u dont wanna feel embarassed when u face HIM. Ofcourse HE will forgive u, but why do such a thing in the 1st place that u can't face HIM! Its like our parents not hitting us when we do something wrong at an elderly age, but they do feel disrespected and upset. When u think of GOD as your mom-dad, and dont wanna upset HIM, u wont do any wrong. And that wont be coz of fear, that will be outta love :)

SSA

Is it the fear of God or the love for him that stops us from doing bad deeds.

Wjkk Wjkf

The concept of "fearing" God is not present in Sikhism. The Guru guides us in determining what is "right" and "wrong". For Sikhs then, it is the respect and love of the Guru that stops them from committing acts which are against Sikhi.

If, when ever, how and maybe.... i think this is the correct or even most suitable vo-cab for this answer....

We should not fear or worry about anything - cus God wants it to happen.... but then on the other hand, if we r going to fear just ONE thing... it should be only VAHEGURU!! :!:
