Nice share.

Asides from the contentious and essential debate about aiding European imperial agendas, I notice the khanda emblem and the 1817 date. Could be one of the earliest sightings yet?

The fact that it is on a official British communication is interesting.

Yeah sorry 1817 was a typo, meant 1917.

A round the 1930s has been the general consensus for the emergence of the Khanda symbol. If the above is what it claims to be, then we can bring that back a bit.

It's a bit telling that goray were giving away pictures of themselves entwined in Sikh religious symbology. Just shows you how deep they got under our skin.
