It actually makes more sense that the base of the Universe is Consciousness and not matter... when you start peering into quantum level things get very strange - over 99.9999% of every single atom is empty space, and what's left broken down into electrons and quarks (neutrons and protons break down to quarks, the smallest directly observable subatomic particle) and electrons and quarks have been shown to pop into and out of existence, and what has been shown to cause them to pop into and out of existence? The presence of a conscious observer.  (btw this includes the particles that make up your own brain, thus proving consciousness exists OUTSIDE the physical body) In fact, all of reality does not exist without an observer... has science started to discover God??
