Tenth Door - metaphorical belief that human body has a hidden door leading to spiritual awakening, NOT REAL in gurbani context

Batman Sir,

it is not in the physical body where  the different spiritual stages are.

If Sach Khand is there, and it is the highest spiritual realm so to say, then for sure in our spiritual ascending within, there are different spiritual stages to be crossed before reaching Sach Khand.

Then too, it is not a matter of talkig about these stages before reaching Sach Khand, but, to do the proper jugtee of going within and then seeing it with one´s own eyes.

Gurbani is about practice, not mere talking.

Only those who have did the true Bhakti like Gurmukhs,  Bhagat Jan or Guru Sahiban themselves, have crossed all the between stages right from this gross creation, then the astral, then the causal, and then much much farther than Dasam Dwar to the finest of Sach Khand.

Gurbani talks of Panch Shabad, which correspond to each of the 5 stages or realms up to Sach Khand, each Shabad within has a particular sound and light, so when one  ascends within stage by stage, different sounds and Jots, are like milestones indicating where our surtee has reached.

Even Waheguru Akal Purukh the highest Truth, without the proper spiritual practice or effort from our side, can ever be acheived.

Dasam dwaar - nij pad, thhir ghar is no physical gate in human body.... It's a stage in our spiritual journey wen we learn to sit in pure being. as it's very well said by sunnysingh veerji

6 ghar 6 gur 6 updes Gur gur eko ves anek. Baba jai Ghar karte keerat hoye so ghar raakh vadai toye. So, wen asked from Guru Nanak Dev ji- he answered that one should keep his awareness on tenth gate of his body, where there is always a bliss or the praise of Lord going on... (Anhad shabad) - over and above the land of thoughts. - that is thhir Ghar or tenth gate.... Just like there's one sun still many seasons similarly there's One God yet many paths ( karte k kete ves)

The paths may be different however the destination is the ultimate truth- the One and only. For sikhs the path is sehaj - naam japna with loads of love for the Guru sahib- to the extent that the Lord is pleased- just like a husband is pleased with his loving n caring wife-..

I agree with what @SunnySingh said about the development. I've also encountered in respected Katha and personal experience that is also exists in the sarir and suchumsarir.

Can one simply open it? No. There enters the development stemming from Prem and Bhagti of Naam.

Says Nanak, the Lord placed the soul to the cave of the body, and blew the breath of life into the musical instrument of the body. ||38||

the 10th door is sukham. From navel to trikuti is bhavsagar.   The imbalance of pavan from ida and pingla, cause this turbulence.  Naun darwajay (9 doors) are in this area. 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, mouth, anus, urethra(pashaab wali jaga)..   MANN surti is connected to maya since it is connected to Pavan.  Pavan is guru of maya.     Gurmukhs advise that one has to disconnect the Mann from the PAVAN. Whilst the MANN is in pavan it will remain in thoughts all the while and be in tre-gunn maya. To disconnect the Mann from pavan is when you stop the thoughts, vichaar and furnay of the mind.  Can only be done by becoming thoughtless and ik-chit with internal shabad.   Goal of bhagtee is to become thoughtless and Ik-mann, ik-chit with shabad.

I keep being reminded of this.

You know how a thermocouple works?

It has two wires, of different types, and as the heat travels down one side faster than the other it creates an electrical charge from the imbalance. Because of the imbalance.

Not only do we hear about these energy channels being slightly out of balance, but we have one side longer than the other.

It makes me wonder if the human body works like an energy thermocouple?

One small question <img src="> rises in my mind wenever I hear this even in kathas, so i take this opportunity to ask veerji - If we have to close 9 doors to open the 10th then why do they say to do simran with open eyes. ? It's practically almost impossible for me to do simran with open eyes as yet. ..

Becomes rarely possible only wen I used to sit in Nanaksar months ago and keep my eyes steady on Guru sahibs saroop but otherwise <img src=">

I think it's close ourselves off to the 9. As in no attachment to them and their associated traps..I mean senses and function.

You have to be able to do Simran eyes open because we take it into the world and are supposed to do it 25hrs a day. Like on the battle field. Eyes need to be open.

But if you wish to do some closed or semi open eyed Simran that's great. You should. And also open.
