@dalsingh101 - You might have already noticed bro that all the Gurbanis read (according to Bhangu saab), to prepare Khande da Amrit for the first time, are Sri Dasam Gurbanis. Though, he does mention that Sri Satguru jee ordered Sikhs to read other Gurbanis such as Sri Japjee saab, Sri Jaap saab, etc.

According to another historical text, a DOHRA from Sri Shastar Naam Mala saab was read, after Khande da Amrit was ready.

@GurjantGnostic

Sri Hajoor saab wale Singhs recite the first chapter of Sri Shastar Naam Mala saab, which makes sense as we have a historical text to back their practice. They just read the whole chapter rather than only one Dohra from Sri Shastar Naam Mala saab.

Sri Sooraj Prakash mentions that Sri Japjee saab, Savaiye and Sri Aanad saab were read during the first Amrit Sanchar.

Mahakavi Santokh Singh jee (author of Sri Sooraj Prakash) was probably referring to either the Sri Tva Prasaad Savaiye (Amrit Savaiye - part of Nitnem Gurbanis) or 33 Savaiye.

@shastarSingh - Do Nihang Singhs read any additional Gurbanis  (other than the 5 main ones) during their Amrit Sanchaars?

Can you please find out bro?

Hazur Sahib Singhs and some nihangs too read extra baanis during amrit sanchar like

Chandi di vaar

Shastar naam maalaa

33 swaiye

Deenan ki pratipal (Akaal ustat swaiye)

Ratan Singh Bhangu was writing almost 150 years after the events and for the British as I understand it prior to their annexation of Punjab.

The debunked Chapter 4 of BN or the translated ancient Hindu erotica "Triya Charitar"/CP stories have nothing to do with it whatsoever.

Besides it is not which authentic Gurbani is read during Amrit Sanchar but the principle of Sant-Sipahi, equality and being to ready to die for the protection of the weak and the oppressed which is of paramount importance to Amrit Sanchar.

Gyani Rattan Singh jee Bhangu was the grandson of the great Shaheed Baba Mehtab Singh jee. He would have know a lot about the traditional Sikh practices of the times after Shaheed Baba Banda Singh jee Bahadar.

The First Charitar is recited at Sri Hajoor saab (during Amrit ceremony). Anyways, that Charitar deals with the Primal power of Sri Waheguru jee and has no Erotica in it.

Many Sri Dasam Gurbanis (including passages of Sri Bachittar saab) are full or Beer Ras, which infuse the warrior spirit into the readers.

Rattan Singh jee Bhangu

Lineage has no meaning in Sikhi. The Khalsa Panth exemplifies this everyday. And that's why Chapter 4 of Bachittar Natak is condemned by so many Amritdhari's.

He wrote what he did in 1841 for the British and thus nothing should be treated as authentic as Gurbani from Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj
