Moving beyond Food. Ending hunger of Body.

This topic can only be appreciated/understood by those who are above maya at one level or another.

If you read gurbani you have undoubtedly come across the topic of eating, sustenance, and hunger many times. Gurbani repeatedly speaks of a state where there's no need to eat nor sleep. (Some sikhs might have already reached this level; to receive nourishment from cosmic energy or God or Har ji, itself. However they might be holding onto fear based beliefs instead of letting go in this regard, and still be eating physical food). Guru Ji teaches us that Siddhis come naturally when we are on this path, and in the ancient texts this is one of the common siddhis (no food, no sleep).

You will also come across many shabads talking about naam ending all hunger, and how us mortals keep eating and the hunger never ends, only grows. The food we eat turns to dust, but we are still attached to eating. There's one shabad that says, how we waste our day time eating, night sleeping, and we waste this precious life/chance (meant for spiritual evolution). I seriously doubt that any real sikh would want to come back as a human again. We want mukti or to ascend. "Udh na jayi sidh na hoye" - Asa di vaar. So we should make spiritual progression the number 1 goal in our life, Everything else, family, job, money, is a distraction. Again for this you have to be above maya, and gurabni does that quite easily.

Anyways, the goal of this post is to raise awareness around this topic. We have been clearly told by Guru ji to have power/authority in both physical/political realm and the spiritual. We are lacking in both. Spiritual (piri) is valued more. If you wish to help the world, help the panth, the only way is help yourself and progress spiritually.

It's nice to be able to substitute, and be free or detached from hunger, even if ultimately you eat. A God send when you're hungry. Lol.

That last step of giving it up is another matter I suppose.

SIddhis are natural and come naturally. There's nothing to perform.
