According to Gurmat,

We shud do Seva and remain gupt and shud not boast about it.

Leo Tolstoy, a Russian philosopher says the same.

"it's much better to do good in a way that no one knows anything about it."

Definitely, Seva must be kept gupt, boasting about it loses the true value and lessons to be learnt of Seva. Humility is required in Seva. That's the whole essence of Seva, to do selfless service without thinking about it after it is done.

Don't really agree with the first one, I remember reading in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib,  that all religions are equal and essential but the Khalsa Panth is they key tool to saving the World from Kalyugi forces ji

Bro

Islam is way below sikhi. Islam doesn't even know about reincarnation.

But Hindus say krishan is God.

Christians say Jesus is son of God.

At least Muslims don't say that Muhammad is God or Son of God.

Muhammad said that shirk (doing baraabri of God) is the greatest sin.

I wouldn't really say below Sikhi, all are creatures of God and all religions are ways of God. However, based on Gurbani, the rest of the religions are lacking in some essences of God, Sikhi is the complete truth.

Why do we always need other people to validate what Gurbani says.  This might be inferiority complex we have.  Nobody does this with our texts.

Gurbani does not need validation from anyone.

But it's good to read beautiful thoughts of non sikh philosophers.

Guru Gobind Singh ji quoted ferdowsi in Zafarnama that a person shud be patient and shud not act in haste.

According to Gurmat,

Manmukh is selfish.

Gurmukh is selfless and parupkaari.

Leo Tolstoy says the same

There is only one enduring happiness in life - to live for others

Another similar quote of Leo Tolstoy

Joy can only be real if people look upon their life as a service and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their personal happiness."
