History of Amrit Sanchar

Recommended Posts

So we know the ceremony, and the Bani changed over time. Even from the time of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.

Where we have a gap is between the Bani read in 1699 and the Bani we read now.

The article listed basically the Nitnem Bani, a few other major Ang, and *random, un named, personal pieces of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.  But it does not say in any way which selections they were or if they were even always the same.

Most glaring example the inclusion of Bachitar Natak in Amrit Kirtan. .

When did that start?

The above article on Amrit in parenthesis says hemp is an intoxicant when we know Paanthically it was a dietary herb.

That is another change.

The british added a line pledging fealty to the queen, queen lol, sorry, at one point and we removed it later?

What I'm saying is the real Amrit Ceremony we should be using existed between 1699 and when Hazur Sahib documented their process.

What was that process?
