So what do you guys think about Ragis like both the famous and non famous. Do they really do what they preach. Do they keep within the code of conduct? Especially the more popular ones like Sri nagger, Jaghadhri, Una sahib, Rangilaa, Zakhmi, Dehradoon just to name a few. Any stories out there about how there personal life is??? I mean these people guide us in

sikhi:( . What effect does there keertan have on us if they do not do things themselves like nitnem etc, etc. Should we even worry about this when listeneing to there keertan????????????????

sharda comes in all forms and what is in one's heart is always way more important than their execution (except in special circumstances).

dharam singh zakhmi and jatha used to do asa ki vaar every morning. Then dharam singh would go home and it ALL over again. He had once said " I do it for maya in the morning, and for waheguru when at home".

they practiced their rehaaz on average of 1.5 hours to 3 (this is not 100% but something that was mentioned).

I admire the Blind Ragis more...... spent some time with one, not only did he know the meaning of each shabad but also he could explain clearly, what word to say louder to get the message across to the sangat. Also he knew the raags. On top of that, even though dasam bani is rarely done in gurdwara nows, he know dasam bani.

The good thing is, when you read him a line, he merorises it within 2 reciting it himslef.

He's one of the few people that i have met, Who really Sees.... he may be blind to us fools, but we are the real blind people.

There maybe raagis.. that may not live an ideal gursikh jeevan. I dont know, it is difficult to judge a person, we may react the same way they react if we were in there shoes. who knows ! Human nature.

I just listen to Gurbani Kirtan.. just the Kirtan, forget the raagi.

If someone is even lieng to you.. but if it is good for you.. then take it. in.
