What was the average German's responsibility before WWII?

I wrote this directly to my frinds, family and community but I think it's worth sharing here as well. 

What was the moral responsibility of germans pre wwII as their country fell into facism, despotism, genocide, infanticide, libensraum, racial supremacy ideology, censorship, ghettofication, villification, and blitzkrieg? ... that's our moral responsibility now and debating goering vs himmler for president isn't a solution it's part of the problem. There is only one corporate party with two color tshirts and anyone excited for either color of war criminal facist will look the fool in retrospect, history and the next world.

Should we cast a begrudging meaningless vote over minor differences one day every few years? Sure why not? We should not be in support of, or in any way enthusiastic about any of it. The other 729 days every two years we should be becoming self reliant, forging deeply our morals and resolve, organizing actual representation outside of the failed system and forcing reform of the corrupt corporate lobby state. 

When we can't admit the truth about the system as is, when we can't admit the glaring fatal flaws in all major candidates, when we do nothing to gain actual representation through forming consensus groups and selecting our own representatives, when we do nothing to secure our own food, we are just like the nazis cheering for their own downfall, cheering for war crimes, cheering for our place in history as failures and complicit actors in the suffering of others and our own downfall. 

When we starve what can we say having caused starvation? When we get bombed indiscriminately what can we say? When we get embargoed what can we say? When we get overtaken by foreign businesses and exploited what can we say? When we get occupied what can we say? When we have no water what can we say? 

We are putting ourselves in a position where the only thing that can save us would be the superior morals of the people we abused. And that's a sad state indeed.

It sickens me to see my loved ones, my community excited...excited to vote for genocidal baby killing candidates. It must be how good germans felt when they realized all their neighbors chose to be nazis. And if there's a line that I won't cross it's breaking bread with anyone who happily supports infanticide. Which is far too many of the people I've known my entire life. Happily voting red or blue is happily voting for infanticide. 

Let us turn to our personal relationship with our Creator, let us turn to the explicit texts of our original Holy Books. Let us turn to our constitution and its values. Let us become courageous, compassionate and sincere, then let us turn to each other. For if we don't all we will do is turn on each other, having already turned the rest of the world against us.

And the above entirely bleak scenario...is the better reality where we don't die, or worse survive, a nuclear apocalypse.
