Essential reading for the purpose of human life.

MESSAGE FROM THE PATRON SANT NARANJAN SINGH JI

(As I understand it from a book that my father had)

The aim purpose or goal of human life is to be oneness with God or God relisation or to see the actual form of God. One should achieve this goal in this life itself.

There are 5 steps of God Relisation:

1. Dharam Khand:

With the grace of almighty God, man realises that he should devote his life to God realisation and not waste is away in sins.

He should be up in the early hours of the morning at about 3 am and start with Nam Simran. At the start is should be 2.5 minutes and then can gradually be increased. This should be followed by the recitation of 5 banis namely:-

1. Japji Sahib

2. Jaap Sahib

3. Savaiyes

4. Benti Chaupai

5. Anand Sahib

Out of his honest earnings he should take out one-tenth (deswand) for Guruji's work.

He who does not believe in deswand- to earn the money he would take to falsehood or speak falsehood.

Says the supersoul of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to Bhai Nandlalji "He is not faithful who does not take out his deswand"

2. Gian Khand (region of Divine Knowledge)

As a person reaches this region he detaches himself from worldly sinful desires and his mind desires to understand divine matters. He gets joy and desires start disappearing slowly.

3. Saram Khand (Region of Spiritual beauty/wisdom)

With divine knowledge man tries to understand the teachings of the Sri Guru Granth Sahibji and put them to practise. This elevates his soul, leading to purfication of min, intellect, wisdom.

4. Karam Khand (Region of Divine Grace)

Here man seeks Divine grace and receives it and divine light appears in him. He is absorbed in God's love 24 hours of the day. His evil desires disappear and he is at peace with himself and is always in happiness.

5. Sach Khand (Region of Truth)

In this region the subtle power, the formless Lord himself resides. Man gets absorbed in God and sees the peace giving pure white light of the Lord which is indescribable.

The light of thousand suns would be nothing before the brightness of this light and man's wanderings comes to an end and he is saved from the cycle of repeated births and deaths.

The process of awakening divine sight implies lokking inwards and leading a disciplied life. This is called breaking the wall of falsehood. It is coming to a state of complete inner stillness called meditation. As one progresses in this inner journey, he comes nearer and nearer to the Divine One.

I've noticed you mention this time many times.Whats the difference compared to starting at 3 or 4am?Very powerful in what sense?

For 2.5hrs during naam jaap you sit on the floor?Do you adjust your legs when they go numb?More than 30mins and I feel like my legs start killing me.

Try it and see, you should be able to feel it when you begin.

Sitting in lotus pose is good, or with your back leaning on the wall for support with your legs crossed or out. You can also start off sitting then lie down, go deep into it and you’ll knock out for the night, or you can do it lying down, however you’re comfortable. You can adjust your legs as needed while you’re in the samadhi, you’ll just go back into it after.

You may get to a stage where you can’t feel your body, not the usual physical numbness, more of a spiritual one, in that case just relax and keep going but if you’re in discomfort then adjust yourself.

Relax, listen to the ringing sound (Anhad Naad), let go and let the samadhi take you, with no expectation of how it should look or even feel. It happens as it’s deserved ie as God wills it. You can start with 30 mins, long sessions are generally better at the start but if you want to do 30 mins it’s cool.

The earliest I've done it was at 4am.I don't experience any sound at the moment. I usually just do out loud Vaheguru simran.Last year was 20mins daily. This year upped it to 30mins.

You do it in darkness or any lights on at 12.30am?I've tried in darkness but had to switch on the lights as I had a terrible feeling of being watched by something.I think its just in my head as I've watched too many horror movies.

It’s okay, try it with the lights off, if not then try a dimmer night light. Try saying Waheguru, I say Satnaam, out loud and then internally intuitively. To hear the sound, you need to quiet the mind and relax your body.

The reality is you just need to not fall for the b/s of the illusion/khel. Even the most demonic entities you may see are God (as are bad people). They’re just false images, illusions, god dressed up in costume. A highly evolved friend taught me to visualize myself in meditation as an eagle and a cheetah, animals who don’t fear predators way bigger than themselves. They said if I see a demon or whatever, to bite it’s head off. So in my samadhi (with lights off) I did, and the fear was conquered.

You don’t actually need to do anything at all though. Just the gyan of understanding that they’re just God, to ignore whatever may appear and get on with your own life and simran is enough. The Gurus didn’t/ don’t fear them/ care about their rubbish and either should we. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you on the path of bhagti whether a bad spirit or a bad person. Don’t forget that we are spiritual warriors. You’re not alone, God is Always with you. Have strength, and recognise that fear is an illusion.

Ok will try 2.5 hours simran during midnight when I can manage it.Currently  I do it after 6am usually.

I really hope God doesn't come to me dressed up in this costume,I'd rather take a pass.

Just do it with a nightlight on. If you’re afraid, shabads help more than you can imagine, they are very powerful. Ive been playing them through the night recently.

That demon is nothing, they’re like puffs of smoke in the khel. I’ve seen worse than that believe it or not. I struggled with those negative visions all my life until a few years ago. One time I woke up with one at the end of my bed but by that time I was so bored of seeing them I just ignored it and went back to sleep. Ignore and continue with your own life and also bhagti. A serial killer, rapist has a messed up/ demonic looking astral body aswell, we just don’t always see it unless your third eye is fully open and God wants you to. But it’s the same thing. Don’t be scared, they’re just b/s, both the bad people and the spirits. Picture Guru Nanak if it helps, I do it too, When you think of him, he senses you. He’s fearless and we are able to practice the same fearlessness. Those spirits are scared of great souls. Remember that Guru Nanak went into Mecca at a time when people were massacring and torturing non Muslims in the worst ways imaginable. And he put his feet towards the Kaaba. Loads of people wanted him dead but he didn’t care and wasn’t scared. A true warrior spirit.

Society and the media through horror movies taught us to fear them but it should be the opposite, the spirits not supposed to be on earth, God made the earth realm for humans to practice Truth, experience life and learn. Another way is to picture God in every heart, in all beings whether good or bad. He’s the powerhouse of and controls all those beings.

What Shabads would you recommend?

Its funny that spirits in the west and east have the same hobby of sitting/standing at the end of the bed. Here many people especially chinese keep amulets made by Thai shamans which contain dead persons hair, tooth, bone, clothes, ash etc. It's big time business here in Thai,Cambodia,Msia,Singapore,Indonesia with people selling on FB etc. They worship spirits like these and ask lucky numbers, job promotion, subduing enemies, attraction from them.Very popular with people working at big corporations. So all day long even at workplace you would come across people carrying these items and the negative energies all stick to you.And if you are a manager, supervisor etc then many subordinates will be targeting you with many types of toonay so that they remain in your good books.

Lol maybe. Yes people can be extra with that stuff. They’re the second/astral energy though... we’ll see that stuff when we’ve passed on. God put us on earth to accept life here and not dwell on the astral realm, hence they taught Truthful Living. The gyan regrading the realms though, is that they don’t actually exist, including this realm, as in they’re a projection of the nothingness, Truth from which we came. In the silence, the primal void, there’s no colour, imagery, etc, just Truth/ God. Anything with image is an illusion. But we accept life on earth in the khel and experience and learn lessons from it.

Any shabads you like listening to.

Lights out or dim is best.

Ignore the watching, don't pay it any mind. It's ok to be aware of it but keep your focus on Waheguru. These things take notice when you start doing bhagti, the simran will flush them away. It's important to be both fearless and and bear no ill will to them as per mool mantar. Turning on the light or the fact that you are not aware of it during your day to day does not mean it's not there. Better to be fearless and embrace what comes, as Sikhilove stated.

I would recommend mool mantar and jap ji sahib as well, they are the explanation behind gurmantar and can help set your mind.

Which country are you in?

I do Japji Sahib daily.Mool Mantar sometimes a few malas.Although I believe it's all in my mind, once the images start flashing and get this eerie feeling that gets stronger, concentrating gets hard. Will try again in dark.
