Friends of the Western Buddhist Order

Extract from Friends of the Western Buddhist Order website.

Soon after his Enlightenment the Buddha had a vision in which he saw the human race as a bed of lotus flowers. Some of the lotuses were still enmired in the mud, others were just emerging from it, and others again were on the ponit of blooming. In other words, all people had the ability to unfold their potential and some needed just a little help to do so. So the Buddha decided to teach, and all of the teachings of Buddhism may be seen as attempts to fulfil this vision - to help people grow towards Enlightment.

I'm no expert on budhism, but of what i have come to know, the general gist of this faith seems to be pretty similar to that of sikhi: thus i often ask 'what was the piont of creating sikhi?'.......what are your views on this??

Buddhism is a good but weak religion, it was totally destroyed by Islam in Afghanistan, central Asia, Punjab and Sindh as well as many other palces like Indonesia etc. Sikhism is the only religion which stood up to and defeated Islam.

Kind Regards,

MI
