J.Singh Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 soorma, try this for samba 3: http://samba.mirror.ac.uk/samba/docs/man/ but some interesting info here: Active Directory Domain Control As of the release of MS Windows 2000 and Active Directory, this information is now stored in a directory that can be replicated and for which partial or full administrative control can be delegated. Samba-3 is not able to be a Domain Controller within an Active Directory tree, and it cannot be an Active Directory server. This means that Samba-3 also cannot act as a Backup Domain Controller to an Active Directory Domain Controller. for samba 2 (which doenst support AD), read the good o'reily book here: http://samba.mirror.ac.uk/samba/docs/using_samba/toc.html I've not set it up with AD myself (only used Samba2), so good luck 0 Quote
