I don't believe it is in Dasam Granth Sahib, the information below just suggests it was a hymn Guroo jee compiled, it doesn't tell us where..I hope the Sangat can enlighten us on this part.

He then sang his self-composed hymn:

"Agya bhai Akal ki tabhi chalayo Panth

Sabh Sikhan ko hukam hai Guru manyo Granth

Guru Granth Ji manyo pargat Guran ki deh

Jo Prabhu ko milbo chahe khoj shabad mein le

Raj karega Khalsa aqi rahei na koe

Khwar hoe sabh milange bache sharan jo hoe."

Translation of the above:

"Under orders of the Immortal Being, the Panth was created. All the Sikhs are enjoined to accept the

Granth as their Guru.

Consider the Guru Granth as embodiment of the Gurus. Those who want to meet God, can find Him

in its hymns. The Khalsa shall rule, and its opponents will be no more, Those separated will unite and

all the devotees shall be saved."

He, in grateful acknowledgement of the spiritual benefactions of the founder of his religion, uttered a Persian distich, the translation of which is:

"Gobind Singh obtained from Guru Nanak

Hospitality, the sword, victory, and prompt assistance."

(These lines were impressed on a seal made by the Sikhs after the Guru left for his heavenly abode, and were adopted by Ranjit Singh for his coinage after he had assumed the title of Maharaja in the Punjab)

They were written by Bhai Mani Singh later....he was not present at Hazur Sahib when Maharaaj left for Sachkhand. Bhai Mani Singh was head-granthi of Darbar Sahib at the time and was carrying out his duties at Amritsar.

It was Bhai Heer Singh Ji (the likhari or scribe) who wrote these lines down, it was his job he used to reccord what maharaaj ji did and said throughout the day. For verification of this fact you can see page 24 of the 'Gurbani Paath Darshan' written by Siri-Maan, Panth-Rattan, Vidiya-Maartand, Sant-Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji 'Khalsa' Bhinderanwale. And you could also go to Hazur Sahib and see this dohra written in Bhai Heer Singh Ji's Granth.

Its a common mistake when common sikh sangat read this dohra they read the following wrong

"Jo Prubh Ko Miliyo Chahae Khoj Shabad Meh Leh"

The mistake they make is they say "Milboch" instead of "Miliyo Chahae" this is because many people have seen this wirtten down as "Milboch" in many different Gutkas, but according to Sant-Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji's findings in the Likhari Granth the true pronunciation is "Miliyo Chahae" as is written in Bhai Heer Singh Ji's likhari granth.

Peace and love :D

These lines are to be found in Giani Gian Singh's (Nirmala scholar and desdendent of Bhai Mani SIngh according to some sources) Panth Prakash. This tradition was handed down from Hazur Sahib, via Bhai Mani SIngh (also a Nirmala hehehe) to Giani Gian Singh in his Panth Prakash.

Now the problem for Neo-Sikhs is that they find it difficult to admit that these verses are contained in a granth that actually totally denies their ideology as it CLEARLY specifies that in SIkhi there are 4 sampradayas, that Guru Gobind SIngh had three wives and that Guru Granth Sahib is manifest in three forms!

Now to you guys: either you reject this granth and the dohra or you accept the dohra and the rest of the content!
