Pundit Sankha Chatterjee (Ustad Karamut-Ulla Khan and Ustad Alla Rakha Khan Sahibs) is due to be in the UK from next week. A close relative knows him well and he has indicated that he would be keen to hold private tuition or a workshop for anyone in the UK.

Pundit Sankha Chatterjee is a master of the Farukhabad and Punjab Gharanas of Tabla playing with over 60 years of experience in the Indian Classical Musical circuits.

Those interested in expanding their existing knowledge, this is unique opportunity for us in the UK (where typically most authentic Tabla players are from the Benaras Gharana only), additionally those looking to kick-start their tabla-playing, this presents a good chance to 'get it right first time' by learning from a master of tabla (and avoid "learning" mistakes from the lesser qualified Gyanis!).
