The Sikh woman was kidnapped by the Punjab Police from her Sector 34 residence in Chandigarh and then implicated in a false case. Addressing the gathering, Justice Ajit Singh Bains, convener of the Rights Forum said that Manjot Kaur is a brave Sikh woman who despite being kidnapped and pressurized did not buckle under police pressure. The congregation demanded that the police officers responsible for kidnapping the Sikh Woman be charged and disciplinary action taken against them. The Rights Forum thanked the media for its role in highlighting the injustice being committed on the Sikh Population. The forum has demanded that many other Sikhs picked up by the police alongwith their families and falsely implicated in cases should be released.
