Puratan Bir's Darshan

Recommended Posts

One of singhs send this to me via email..enjoy :)

-first two pics are of sri dasam graanth ji - entire granth is written in gurmukhi, except for Zaffarnama Sahib - it is an exact copy of the original - made by Bhai Dya Singh Ji in Persian

the entire granth was written by Bhai Dya Singh Ji and is now kept at a Gurudwara in his memory in Auarangabad, Maharastra, Aurangzeb's Capital at the time

we were told that the Granth is approximately 300+ yrs old

- next three pics are of Sri Guru Adi Granth Sahib Ji

Note: The Granth Sahib contained Sri Raagmalaa Sahib, I do not want to offend or debate whether Sri Raagmalaa Sahib is Banee or not, let's just leave it at that

there are certain Bani's that the current Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji does not include:

such as Sri Ratanmalaa and the Shabad in the 4th pic

this Sri Guru Adi Granth Sahib Ji is a very puraatan Saroop which is why it is a little different than our current version - I was told this Saroop dates back to around 375 - 400 yrs old

this saroop is at the same one as above, in memory of Bhai Dya Singh Ji

-the 5th,

pic is of a handwritten Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Saroop at Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Ji.

it is in the same complex, beside the Mata Bhag Kaur Ji Room

I was told that this Saroop was written during time of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji - scribe unknown

Note: This Saroop also contains Sri Raagmalaa Sahib as well

-6th pic,

this is at Sri Darbar Sahib, Harimandir Sahib

this Saroop is the hand written Saroop by Baba Deep Singh Ji

this saroop was written at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Likhansar Sahib

it is an exact copy of the Saroop scribed by Bhai Mani Singh

it is extremely large in dimension, when Prakash - about 2 meters

Note: Although I didn't get to do Darshan of the Angs of Guru Ji, since there is always an Akhand Paath being performed, i was told that this Saroop also contains Sri Raagmalaa Sahib
