If it isnt in the Guru Granth Sahib then where is it? The Guru Granth Sahib does not mention any specific rules of marriage (ie: Amrithdhari's marrying only Amritdharis). As far as i can see any mention of marriage in the Guru Granth Sahib speaks only of the Marriage of the Soul Bride with her God Husband. One can redirect the aim of the real message towards worldly acts. Such as the Lavaan are used to marry 2 individuals when their true intent was to describe the union of God and a Soul.
