gurfateh saadsangato!

ok so this is what i was wondering....is it true that that salok is not baani, and that it's just poetry? and if this is the case, should we really be reciting it after ardaas?

gurfateh, waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

Bhanji's/Bhaji's

For the benefit of the not so educated in Sikhi (such as me), could you elaborate a little?? Please?

Ive always been trying to figure out whats being said in the Ardass, and understand some of it, but what does it mean entirely?

After the Adress is Read

A Verse is read for Gurbani

"Aggeya Bhai Akal Ki Tabi Chalayo Paanth SAaab Sikhan KO hukam hai GUru Manyo Granth.--...

and some people read on ti were it sayys :

WaheGURU NAAM Jahaj hai,..

but what veer ji asked

are we supposed to read that/Is it in baani..

then Mr MR Singh Khalistan da

answerd no were only supposed to rea dyup to

"kuaar hoye sab milenge bache sharan "

thats where that Verse from GUrbani Ends..

I hope i was able to make it a LIL bit clear :P

Thanks for the reply Parji :D

I kinda understood that they meant that - I think I worded my question wrongly.

1) has anybody got/direct me to the full translation of the Ardaas... I think I understand most of it, but then as always, I find there are words that I dont understand.

2) ok, so its poetry toward the end, but if its praising Waheguru, is it wrong to say it?

Weer Ji

In SGGS JI'S Hazuri

Nothing but Gurbani, Bhai GUrdaas Ji''s Vaar, Bhai Nand Lal Ji's poetyu is aloud to be sung

and taht is .in my opinion right, because is there any lack of

praises to Wahguru in SGGSG?

NOPE i done think so

so why read sumthin that has been composed by a "manukh"

Gurbani, word of the guru??

if so, then

that Salok comes in Sarbloh Granth, written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. hence it is the word of the guru. The same things also appear in Dasam Granth.

If we cant read saloks, then why do we have Salok Kabir Jio Shabad...

If it appears in the 3 granths, it is Bani.

THEN it is Bani

but i thought that

from

"WEaheguru Naam Jahaz hai"

wasn't included in those granths

but I was obviously wrong

I'm EXTREMLY SORRY for my mistake

whether it's guru gobind singh jee's banee or not, it's actually been approved by the panth so we are officially allowed to recite it in guru jee's hazoori..

the actual ardaas after "tegh bahadur simriay, ghar nau nidh aavey dhaae, sabh thain hoey sahay" is not banee - the guru khalsa panth made it up. But it was approved by the panth as a whole so whether it's BANEE or not, it's not really "kachee banee" either because it's been approved by the Guru Khalsa Panth and everyone has decided it's okay to read it in Guru Jees hazoori..

bhul chuk maaf karna
