  1. Gurfateh Ji!

In reply to x_suman_x, Many people experienced these things in Baba Jis lifetime, first hand. My mums grandfather was one, whom would tell great stories of Baba Nand Singh Ji, amazing stuff. and u can find many others whom have experienced the glory of Baba Ji in such a way. Obviously many whom were alive at the time of Baba Ji have left this world, but the stories have passed down generations.

  2. "This is the directive of the Guru, that if the son of a Sikh shaves the head, His posterity shall be ruined, and if a shaven one becomes a Sikh, his descendants will flourish"

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee - Tankhah Nama Bhai Nand Lal Jee

The above tells you how much Guru jee valued the rehat of keeping hair, how can those whom apparently love Guru Jee, ignore such an imporant message of Guru Jee? Keeping hair is such a simple thing! People just long it up cos they dont have faith in Guru jee.

  3. When I was a kid watching Baba Isher Singh Jis videotapes had such a major influence bringing me into Sikhi. And even when I feel I am straying from the path of Sikhi, i listen to Baba Jee and it puts me back on track. Also my Nan used to tell me Sakhis about Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Baba Nand Singh Ji. Those priceless moments have helped my life in such a positive way. Thanks to Waheguru for their kirpa on this moorakh.

  4. Yep in the Tankhahnama, Bhai Nand Lal Ji asks Guru Gobind Singh Ji about which deeds are good and bad. Then Guru Ji answers Bhai Sahibs Jis question.

The final dohra of Guru Jis reply in the Tankhahnama is the following, and the first 2 lines are contained in the Ardas:

    Dohra

The Khalsa will rule and the rebels will be eliminated,

All will be obliged to join and only those who surrender will survive.

The is the directive of the Guru, that if the son of a Sikh shaves the head,

His posterity will be ruined, and if a shaven one becomes a Sikh, his descendents will flourish.

  5. In terms of proper Raags, Bhai Balbir Singh Ji is amazing, but their are many other proper Raagis whom are also brilliant.

In terms of shabads which are not in their actual raags, i would have to say Professor Darshan Singh Ji's keertan is most captivating. The way they interpret Gurbani with so much depth and care is an excellent resource for Sikhs to learn from.

  6. A Khanda is of great significance in its meaning and to put it on such a product is totally wrong.

Sikhs are not even meant to wear such things, their meant to wear Kasheras.

Such offence and 'neglect of understanding' of Sikhism should not be tolerated by any whom consider themselves to be true Sikhs. Obviously action by Sikhs should not be taken in a manner which will bring more harm to the views others have of Sikhs.
