  1. Watched a great video about Shabad Guru discussed by Dr. Satpal Singh

I would highly suggest you watch this video.

    Key things mentioned are:
Guru Nanak's Guru was the Shabad that is pargat in all of us (Naam).
The focus is not our physical body and external rituals, but to get our surti (consciousness/concentration) out from the nine doors and to go within and connect to the Shabad (Naam) at Tenth Gate. (Done by Jaaping Gurmantra)

Another video which is more recent but I have not watched

  2. parabh kaa simran sabh tay oochaa.
The remembrance of God is the highest and most exalted of all. SGGS. 263

    sarab Dharam meh saraysat Dharam.
Of all religions, the best religion
har ko naam jap nirmal karam.
is to chant the Name of the Lord and maintain pure conduct.
    sagal kir-aa meh ootam kiri-aa.
Of all religious rituals, the most sublime ritual
    saaDhsang durmat mal hiri-aa.
is to erase the filth of the dirty mind in the Company of the Holy.
    sagal udam meh udam bhalaa.
Of all efforts, the best effort
har kaa naam japahu jee-a sadaa.
is to chant the Name of the Lord in the heart, forever.
    sagal baanee meh amrit baanee.
Of all speech, the most ambrosial speech
har ko jas sun rasan bakhaanee.
is to hear the Lord's Praise and chant it with the tongue.
sagal thaan tay oh ootam thaan.
Of all places, the most sublime place,
naanak jih ghat vasai har naam. ||8||3||

O Nanak, is that heart in which the Name of the Lord abides. SGGS p.266
  3. I was watching Gurmukh Lecture series and Lecture 56 was very inspiring and great knowledge from Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

1st bhavsagar (3 qualities of maya : rajo, sato, tamo)
Crossed over by listening to Gurmantra Gurshabad: WaheGuru

2nd bhavsagar is of the five elements Kal’s desh country jurisdiction (air, water, fire, earth, akash:space)
Crossed over by listening to Naam (sehaj dhune, sacha shabad, anhat shabad) unstruck sound current takes you to the door, dasam duar.

Cross dasam daur, tenth gate, door.
Listening to Naad enter Sacha Mahal, home of truth, mind as Jot, God.
It is all by the Grace of Waheguru that one listens to the sound and by God’s kirpa do we enter Sacha Mahal.

This information is taken from the video starting from 8 minute and 40 second mark

    What is Naad?

This link which Sat posted in another thread is very good. Shares some very good information and mentions Anhat Naad(NAAM) loud blast.

Forgive me for any mistake I have made,
Waheguru please bless the Gurmukhs who walk the path of Liv.

Sorry for diverting the direction of this thread.

  4. There will be a Simran Camp from October 3rd to 5th in Surrey and Abbotsford, British Columbia. Locations of Gurdwara's to be announced. I strongly suggest everyone to come and invite everyone they know. This is a very great opportunity to join the sangat from all over and remember God.

More information will be posted closer to the date: on http://mysimran.info/camps/

  5. I will never forget that blast in my ears that night because I was awoken so suddenly to an excruciating loud pain and had to hold my ears to try and cope. It was just like described above. It happened on two consecutive nights.

Maybe he came but I couldn't handle the experience. My god that was 7 months ago and he never came back.

    WaheGurooooooooooooo!!!!!!

    Hey Sat,

One thing I noticed was all the videos had been cut when it came to an actual exercise. I have found some audio recording of the actual workshops.

Loads of helpful tips here and the Q&A at the end was very enlightening.

Sat thank you for mentioning the tips

This audio is also good, but what he says has been repeated many times before in all his youtube videos.

  7. Baba Hari Singh Ji talks about Gurmantar and the various stages. He also talks about the process of reversing your breath https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Srq3UqegZAI

Like Lucky mentioned earlier in this thread:

One has to reverse the process and take that sound back to the Dhunni, the place where the sound arose from.
