  1. Stepped on by Indira Gandhi. And it took a mere 10 years to do it. Punjab was reconquered by her.

Surely, you mean Mrs Indira Feroz Khan?

So, correct me if I am wrong. India was ruled by Nehru after the independence of India in 1947. As soon he was dead the rule came back to the muslims through his hellcat daughter indira khan? In other words India was never free from the muslim rule am I correct?

  2. Dogs bark but the caravan moves on

Kutte bhonkde par kaffile chalde rehende

Are all Indian prime ministers urine drinkers like Desai? No wonder the country is full of open air shitters. If the PMs drink urine or are on a urine therapy what would you expect the citizens of that country to do? You would expect them to shit in open spaces and go to bed on empty stomachs won't you?

Modi's visit to US has benefitted India tremendously. Upon his return to India he took hold of a broom and started a clean up campaign. I think he was quite impressed to see clean and shiny toilets at Obama residence and couldn't wait to go back home to clean the shit out of the country and what's more he has also promised to build indoor toilets for Indians to relieve their suffering in the privacy of their homes in future. He now admits this will solve two major problems facing India in the 21st century. It will reduce the number of gang rapes conducted by hindu men on hindu women as well as India will be cleaned up of faecal waste (filth) lying everywhere on the side streets, the busy major roads and public buildings. There will be no naked bums in sight from now on. The urine drinker PM further admits this will also halt the hindus from urinating on the walls which are covered with graffiti images of hindu gods and goddesses such as shiva, krishna, laxmi and many more.

India has now joined the League of the Civilized Nations!! Welcome to the LCN!!

  3. where is the "hate" in my comments? Yes, dalsingh has criticised me in the past, so? He has been much more severe on those who considers themselves jat first and then sikh or whatever.

i dont know what venom i have been spewing or which hatred spills out of my comments but i have been, among others, threatened to be killed, abused, denigrated, vilified and what not.

grow up onpath learn to live with those who may not agree with your worldview.

You are a fine one to preach others on how to live with others that don't share 'your worldview' and what worldview might that be if I may ask? The worldview of hindu hatred towards the sikhs and calling them profanities and obscenities when they don't agree with it? Calling their families 'pendus' and anyone that believes in sikhi 'jats?'

The amount of venom you have spewed on this forum would surpass the venom spewed by million of cobras put together.. Do you worship snakes by any chance because hindus are known to do so?

You love propogating hate towards everyone and no wonder hinduland is in the state it is in now because there are billion more like you controlling it with their cunning, conniving and scheming ways.

Your last comment is simply hilarious.

You are such a dingbat! Need your head examined!

  4. Understood and agreed, but can I ask why there is no such concern raised with all the anti-Sikh comments going on for quite some time now.

The reason for this is that they are utterly and unreservedly biased towards the sikhs.

I was asked a foolish question by this ignorant so called fake 'sher' earlier on, 'what is the sikh identity anyway' when he/she was busy with his/her smear campaign against Maskeen sahib ji. The dingbat asked me this question on sikh awareness forum out of all the other forums. Hello lamebrain..............................if you don't know what is a sikh identity by now you never will.

Sher's venom is more poisonous than a most venomous snake. So disgusted with you.

  5. Karma veer Jee,

what is all this rudeness? I mean, why is your speech so full of hatred, anger and intolerance? Can´t you be gentle and talk in normal tone? is that too much?

If others opinions are bullshit for you, remember, you too are not perfect as seen, which means, your nonsense is also bullshit. So do not try to be smart, by showing off that you know everything. Self respect starts, by respecting others.

Because, as you say and repeat: parents may have taught their children how to handle things in a sensible and a responsible way, which is quite valuable, but if they have not taught mannerisms and humanity to their children, than there is a risk, that those children get spoilt, and this shows one´s true colours, when they are grown up.

You have full freedom to disagree, as each one´s level consciouss is different, each one is from a different background, etc.

Myself for example, I do agree with some of your opinions, and with some others I do not, but that does not mean, that I start disrespecting you, bullying you, and talking bullshit of you.

No Veer Jee, that is not the way.

By being good and humble one may go a long way ahead, otherwise one may find an accident and finish before one´s expectations.

Being good, costs nothing and is the base of a human being; being hard and arrogant, just creates disharmony...

    Sat Sree Akal.

Please accept my apologies if I have offended you in any way. It was never my intention to offend you or anyone on this forum, Sir.

I agree I expressed myself in very harsh language but it was not aimed at hurting or undermining anyone. I don't hate anyone nor do I feel angry at anyone. I completely agree with you, it costs nothing to be good and that arrogance creates disharmony. So, I hope you will forgive me.

If you read my other posts you will notice I have been less cynical and sarcastic. I know there is no excuse for being cynical or sarcastic, so, I will be more heedful before posting any further comments in the future.

  6. Were you present when that incident happened??..How do you know what is the truth? what purpose do you have in bringing another incident between a discussion not related to it...Did anyone ask you what's up with Gianis?...you think you are some Brahmgiani to be above all this...or is character assassination your profession?

As a matter of fact I was not present there when 'that incident happened' or if it ever happened for that matter!! I am certain this bit of information will disappoint you greatly. I don't need to know the truth about gossip but judging from your comments there it is sufficiently clear that you know the truth. As I said, I don't take any dilchaspee in listening to any gossip that is the reason you will be disappointed once again to find out that I have not contributed to that topic by posting any comments!! It is SIMPLY not one of my pastimes to participate in any gossip by posting comments.

This is a place where people don't have be pleaded with or 'asked' to post comments about any topics, in other words, it is not an 'exclusive members club.' It is a public forum and for anyone with an average IQ would mean, anyone is invited to join in and submit a comment. I am not a Bramhgianni but judging from your post above it appears that you have already reached the summit and are a fine authority on what brahmgiaan is! I work in a very humble, simple and humane profession where my job entails saving lives so I don't have to resort to a lowly profession where I depart from any sense of morality or any discipline of mind.

One does not have to be a brahmgiaani to know moral values and decency. The great sikh ethics can be applied and utilized in our normal daily lives despite the fact who we are and what our professions are.

Thank you for taking the time to read my previous post and commenting on it. Much obliged.

  7. As Kaliyug is moving forward, the wind of Maya is blowing harder.

People of younger generations seek intelctual satisfaction, as time moves forward, children of each generation is moving more into intelctual levels, means they do not want blind faith. When we were young, we used to play with marbles or fly kites and so on, now since they are born, they are surrounded by technology, with smart phones, tablets, computers. I remeber a few years back, my cousin´s son, who was hardly 2 years, was handling an iphone like an adult, was dialing his dad´s number and sending messages, which even I can not do today, or maybe I will be able to do it after taking me some time, and these youngsters, they do everything(technology) very fast.

Their sat antenas(minds) catch, grasp, grab, everything which happens in front of their eyes.

So naturally, in this tech age, they want answers with sense and logic, as in this field, everything is done with the aid of science, which works, and is sustained on logic. Because that is how the sciences of this world work.

In the worldly sciences, first we learn(theory) then we work on it.

While in the spiritual science, first we need to work(bhajan bandagee), then only we get the knowledge or gyan.

So while being in this world, we have to keep a balance, between swarth and parmarth, and explain the truths to the youngsters in a simple and a natural way, without scaring them, or trying to impose on them, because that will make them rebels, and create adverse feelings for the path. So we should talk to them as friends, because that is how they are used to, and then give them space to digest and assimilate the truths of the Bani, slowly but gradually.

    Sat Sree Aak

Kalyug did not commence when your cousin's son was hardly two years old! What was he doing with an iphone dialling numbers randomly? What if he had called some emergency numbers accidently? This would have wasted a lot of time of emergency services provider, don't you think? So stop blathering about what a clever your cousin's two year old son was or is. Sikh religion is not about blind faith, it has become a case of blind following the blind, full stop! Sikh religion is replete with reason and logic, one has to be clever enough to find it.

When people of my generation were young they were surrounded with many many high technological things. Our parents owned them and we were taught to use them intelligently with the help of our intellects! They did not allow us to play with them, but instead they taught us how to use them sensibly and logically and look after them. I grew up in the times when extremely expensive nikons with very sophisticated technology had just arrived on the market and every well to do family owned not only a nikon for stills but also for home movies. I can't imagine any two year old being able to handle this type of machinery without damaging it. Our parents were much too intelligent, sophisticated, cultured and intellectual in those days. Every youngester owned a racer, a transistor and there are many more youngsters that were born in the times when other important high tech products were invented. There were many electrical things available in those days. One had to be very careful too when using anything electrical, let alone allowing a two year old to play with them carelessly. So don't bullshit about how clever the youngsters are these days. They are basically the children of those parents who have just arrived from God knows where!! Who have just only recently seen the dollars and high tech things!

As far as the requirement for 'answers with sense and logic' is concerned, you might as well forget it. Just look at those that are responsible for supplying these youngesters with 'sense' and 'logic' and work it out yourself how full of sense and logic they appear or come across to you! It is not a logical or sensible thing to do to allow a two year old child or children to play with an iphone and to dial numbers hither and thither. It is simply not a clever thing to do. One can teach a child to use things in a sensible and logical way, but to let them play with them without any logic or reason! Typically a paindoo thing to do plus the SHOWING OFF that comes along with this kind of behavior!

Teaching children about how to use things in a proper manner involves a great deal of logic and sense.

Spiritual life also begins with theory. The Granth is theory for the spiritually inclined in sikhism. Later follows the practical part where bandagi has to be done to experience the theory as stated in the Granth. Some people are successful and others are not. It all depends on how hard a person is willing to work towards one's goals. Our holy book does not promote blind faith.

In all my life I have never heard a parent going to a child's school to tell the teachers to teach their children in a simple and natural way lest their children should become scared of what is being taught. I am sure Newton's law of gravity or Einstien's theory can be learned without anyone imposing its formulae leading to scores of Q.E.D.s on one's intellect!

When I was learning the Archimedes Principle at school I was forced to tell my teacher to stop because it was really very scary!! I told my teacher not to impose this priniciple on me....please...please. it was really too scary....lol!

  8. There is no shortage of mental giants in the sikh panth so Mr Sarabjit Singh Nirmale ie Gianni Ji should have no problems answering this one million dollar question!

Come on Einsteins, think!! One can also repeat after someone or something 'mentally' in other words in one's mind. It would have been easier to ask the five beloveds the same question instead of wasting gianni ji's precious time. Surely the above gianni ji must be a very busy man don't you think? There must be the usual gurdwara politics, the yearly committee elections and popular sword fights and so on to keep our gianni jies occupied thesedays! Besides, gianni jis nowadays have better pursuits to pursue such as we have seen in a recent shocking video instead of supplying answers to such gruelling questions!

Judging from the comments there, it is so pathetic to see people believe the video even before they have established the veracity of the whole situation! The comments made by some on that topic shows how they cherish hearing ninda, taking sides and defaming the innocent! This is the beauty of our great sikh kaum believe the gossip and not facts! The kaum thrives on it.

  9. This is happening because in many parts of the world sikhs refuse to be sikhs!

You really have to act alone because of the ignorance that breeds within this religion. This is the only religion where one finds absence of compassion, kindness or love towards their own people. If the airport authorities require you to take your five Ks off for security reasons then you have two choices either to obey and let go of your sikh identity or disobey and get into trouble! There is no written document available in this religion which states what one ought to do while at the airport. It is a male dominated religion and the men that dominate it are ridiculously ignorant and backward so much so that they lack any imagination to bring people together on any issue that might concern them. Till this day there has been no consensus over anything that one can resort to in times of trouble or doubt.

Women need to wake up and take control. Open your own separate gurdwaras and run and organize them without committees and politics. Women need to start a new movement in which they can organize gurdwaras in a more humane and compassionate ways. This will get rid of gurdwara violence because so far we have not witnessed one woman picking up her sword or gun to kill someone inside the Gurdwara sahibs in front of the Guru. Only recently the whole world read about what the men did at the Harmandar Sahib dressed in all white with swords in their hands attacking each other. This was so shocking and insulting. The barbarians never realized the significance of language or usage of words!

You are so right about everything you have said.

  10. My wife started an organization where women could get together and organize a gurdwara with female impact and were successful. Although men participated too but it has more of a female impact on it. Both men and women are amritdarries and wear bana. Their children are also taught the importance of Amrit and Bana which they partake as they become more mature and sensible. They have a hall for the SGGS, a langar hall, an area allocated for children to play and also have gurmat classes and a wonderful separate room where they have a second SGGS with a notice outside the door ' Silence please,meditation/nam jap in progress.' It is the most peaceful place to go to and everyone there looks very civil.

My wife was born in Kenya and her parents also were born there. They have managed to keep the sikh faith free of violence and dogma. They have managed to keep up with the true essence of sikhism and the teachings of the 10 Masters. Majority of the congregation and their offsprings are devout sikhs with firm belief in themselves as sikhs and in their sikh faith and they don't resemble any congretation one encounters in majority of the sikh temples around the world. They have managed to educate the women to advance levels of knowledge and are able to preach in three languages ie swahilli, english and poonjabi.

One cannot fail to observe here in this place men behave like true gentlemen and the women behave like typical ladies! Their manners are sophisticated and their language is extremely polite. They follow a culture unique to their organization. It is neither Indian/ponjabi or western but has basis in the SGGS. Most of the women are also working in top positions in banks, hospitals, universities and so on. I have never witnessed any violence in this temple although there are men in the congregation too. Everyone is polite and considerate and most speak at least two languages fluently english and poonjabi with swahilli here and there.

I sometimes wonder why are these people so entirely different from the rest of sikh people that one sees in other temples all over the world.

This temple is actually situated in a building which used to belong to two families until they got together and decided to turn it into a place of worship. It is surrounded with open grounds with trees and shrubs for a walking nam jap practice. The congregation takes turns to keep everything clean and beautiful. You will also notice how well behaved the children are. They are all very proud of their sikh heritage and the sikh history. When you meet them they never fail to inform you of how their parents came to be born in Kenya and how they all visited Ponjab when they were children. Please don't get me wrong, they love visiting India even now to learn more about their own history and teach their children too. They are simply amazing bunch of nice good people who know exactly who they are and have firm and unshakeable confidence in themselves as sikhs. They are one very extremely proud bunch of sikh people I have ever met or known.

Let me also say this that one notices everyone here free from the disease of 'egotitis' although they all live in a predominantly white, modern western, countries. They have managed to keep their sikh faith alive side by side with modernity, this in my view is highly laudable. They participate in the western world but also participate in their inner search for God and communion with him. The only identity they refer to is their sikh one, there is no mention of any other identity or identities in this wonderful little place. The SGGS says remove the filth from the surface of your mind and see your true identity, which is the only identity a true sikh should have. The rest are all made up by the filth of the mind. It is a work of corrupt and lost mind.

I firmly believe women can organize and manage temples successfully by giving them a softer and more compassionate touch, which is a natural part of their female make up. Women also make vey good listeners so it reduces the element of violence and agression one encounters or reads about at sikh places of worship. They are also good with words so this gives chance to discussion rather than arguing and fighting which one finds has become the norm theses days

Very inspiring post, but how is all this going to help solve our problems at the airports globally?

  11. What about the people who hide behind the teachings but make no effort whatsoever to be physically capable like a Singh is supposed to be?

Like all those pot bellied granthis.

You know yourself, as per Giani Gian SIngh's observations, it was a norm for Sikhs to be physically training in martial arts before annexation. This was a continuation of practice put in place by dasmesh pita - the tyaar bar tyaar thing people talk about. How comes so many people excuse away laziness and cowardliness by hiding behind the 'teachings'?

The consequences are obvious - Sikhs regularly getting their arses kicked and their girls being abused under their noses.

That being said - I think the message has started to get through to keshdhari Sikhs in London, these days I see a fair few that look like they seriously train it out on the tube. It's about time too....

Too many 'Singhs' have been like the lion in The wizard of Oz

    tin-man-scarecrow-and-dorothy-comfort-co

How about spreading the message across the entire earth what a singh/singhani is suppose to be or look like? Half the times when you are travelling by air they view you with suspicion at the airports. In France life is not easy for someone who dons on a turban on his/her head! They are still murdering sikhs in countries like the USA. What is the point in having too many hot headed figures in the panth when they can't even protect or support their fellow sikhs in trouble.

Showing off and bragging about how many hours one trains at the local gym is not going to get us anywhere! We need deep thinkers and intelligent brains in the panth who can speak up about sikhism in public places and not become intimidated by challenges and uncertainties they may face in the modern world!

To be honest I have yet to come across such a one who can do all this. We desperately need deep and refined thinkers to take us forward.

  12. Kabir : You say that the One Lord is in all, so why do you kill chickens?

I have always wondered about this, because Muslims do not believe that God lives in all. They believe he is separate from creation.

Stop being so specious, are you a muslim or a sikh? Why are you mixing up the two religions, honestly, there is no end to people like you in our Faith. Your incredulousness is so damaging that words fail me!

Sikh Gurus did prohibit imbibing any kind of flesh so don't mix up the muslim religion with the sikh religion. It is people like you that confuse not only the other fellow sikhs but also the whole world. Why do we keep hearing from other sikhs one does not have to surrender to the Amrit and the panj piyaareys or even wear a turban or the five kakkaars to be a sikh till this day? By questioning everything the sikhs have been told to do by the Gurus has led to a fine example of argumentum ad populum!! This kind of attitude has led to a bunch of benighted morons within the greatest Faith in the world and it is not only appalling but it should also be made punishable! No sikh or non sikh should be allowed to mistinterpret what the Gurus taught! Anyone doing so should be ostracized from the Panth and brought to justice.

Honestly, people ought to stop changing the precepts of sikhism as and when it suits them. Sikh Faith is not a culture for all and sundry to change it like they do with the punjabi culture by adding vapid and disjointed elements to it as the years, months and weeks go by.

I know the punjabi culture has become decadent and rubbish please don't do the same to the great sikh religion.
