You are either very ignorant or just have an agenda trying to belittle Sikhs

Amritsar (City) was as much as 80% Muslim. This just goes to show how small Sikhs were as a religious community even in their own Holy cities.

Amritsar city had a population of roughly 40% Muslim and Hindu each and 20 % Sikh. I don't know where you are getting your facts from but you need to recheck them

None of the Sikh princely states shared a border with eachother, so they could not have merged into a viable, self-dependent country.

Apart from one Sikh state Kapurthala, all the other Sikh states such as Patiala, Jind, Nabha and Faridkot shared common borders. Perhaps you should write about something you actually know abour rather than filling this forum with half baked facts and ideas.

I believe some Sikh states had Hindu majority populations, perhaps even all of them did.

Sikhs were a majority in Faridkot state ( 56 % ), 40 % in Patiala and Nabha and 20 % in Jind. Hindus made up only 30 % of the population of these Sikh states. Get you facts straight.

You don't know what you're talking about. The Nihangs had no need to go into Akal Takht. When the govt sent the troops in then why didn't this so-called 'army of the panth' not use their arms against the army?. Or is it that arms are just used for decoration and worship

You know your Santa Singh turned like Lal Singh and Tej Singh. Santji acted like a true Gursikh

  3. They claim to be 96 crore but they aren't even a few dozen prepared to give their all for the Panth like the Kharkoos did. Leave aside any hope that the Nihangs would help these Sikh women who were being tortured by indian govt these Nihangs were actually participating in the oppression of the Sikhs.

Lets not get emotional about terms such as 'Guru Kiyan Laadliyan Faujan'.. fact is Nihangs lost any claim to that title in 1984.

And before someone asks.. 'what have u done for the panth'... well I don't go around claiming to so and so crore fauj and wearing an oversized dumala that's useless in a fight situation.

  4. You're so right Bhaji

Singhnis are the ones that are gonna keep Sikhi alive into the next generation

East or West, Singhnis are the BEST !

I reckon that in a no holds bar fight between a Singhni and Lalleshvari, I would bet on the Singhni :P

Note to Mods: Please note that I do not endorse violence. Just voicing an opinion

Have you drinking or something. Re-read what you said about the contradiction. Just as Mr Singh said.

    1. The second line on the homepage reads Sikhism is the only faith which shows the path to realisation of Akaal (timeless god)

A: It is a TOTALLY FALSE argument that Sikhism believes all paths lead to the same goal and thus all religions are equal:

There is no contradiction. I think you are just too engrossed in your hate for the site to know that this is not a contradiction.

  6. Not necessarily so Saihajleen! In practice this can be used in the woman's favour also. Mind you, you yourself might find this equally disgusting...

I was listening to the radio a few years back on Islamic marriage and on came a chuckly young Shiaa lady who was singing up the temporary marriage, because it can last for any amount of time and equally dissolved from the length of years to a matter of minutes. In otherwords she can have boyfreinds and rendezvous' legally. And unlike the assumptions most people would have, she was actually the one finding the boyfriends! She was great, she shattered this illusion among the people on the programme that Islamic women are poor wretched repressed people wearing veils! She was having the time of her life.

I'm sure there are also horrendous stories in reverse...there is a film called 'The Circle' which is an excellent portrayal of women's plight in modern day Iran, which would suggest the opposite.

I remember watching a Kilroy discussion once and they had a prostitute on who was also saying similar stuff like she's the one who is in control and how she's just having fun and getting cash for it. I suppose the Shia Mullah would qualify to be the pimp in your story. This form of Marriage is just a form of religious sanctioned prostitution, wonder if Jtsingh would be similarly impressed if it was his sister who was doing such things. I suppose that's where hyprocrisy comes in.

    Bhainji Sahajleen Kaur

There is no need to be confused. Your relationship is with the Guru and it is the Gurus teachings we follow. Why settle for second best, approach the Guru yourself and he will give you the best guidance.
