  1. Just think about this please. The author is talks about our life compared to our parents:

I wear the same bloody shirts every week, same trousers every day.

Why? To save money for my family, so they don't have to work as hard as they did back int he day. The generation above us didn’t get to where they are by sitting on their ass, they took abuse at work, people hurled abuse at them but they didn’t care, they worked their guts out. They had it harder than us, this is a walk in the park, Why the admin cut do we complain when we don’t have the right clothes or our clothes don’t match? What do we do? We buy more clothes to match the ones at home. You think our parents and grandparents gave a shit? You think they complained? NO, they got on with life and worked their bollocks off and bought up families and provided for them.

We have it too easy. We have inside toilets and hot showers. We have food that we throw away. I know people that were so hard up that they had to roll roti with a milk bottle and make it on a hot plate, people that to go to public baths once a week to have a good wash, people that had to struggle hard, really hard.

I get pissed off with people who have 6 million pairs of shoes, im not perfect im not saying every1 should do what I do, I have one pair shoes and 1 pair of trainers. I don’t NEED anymore shoes. ONE pair is too much. This computer is too much.

If anyone has free time they should try to work, not just for money…for food and a roof over their heads (yes that’s right food and a roof…not a BMW with 17 inch alloys). Work for your munn (mind), work to make sure you know the meaning of money, to make sure you know how many hours it takes to earn that computer, those shoes, those jeans and that car, to make sure you don’t get into the habit of being lazy and wasting time

Now im debating to go to gym or not.

    Am I being lazy? Maybe

    Probably.

    Bhul chuk maaf

Forgive me for any mistakes or offence

    pls fwd

  6. my apologies for late reply.

I want to go as deep as i can in the meaning of Bhagauti, like why is bhagauti mentioned three times before the guru's names in ardaas? did guru gobind singh ji mean bhagauti in 3 different contex here? Vaahiguroo, the sword and the vanquisher of all evils? or all of them?

i want to understand more abt bhagauti as a character of God too.

I want to go deep, cos i have a feeling this isnt't jsut abt a physical sword or jutst a character of god. i want to drown....

    fateh

  7. fateh ppl

Hey people. I would really like to learn to understand path but don't know where to start. I can read panjabi but I feel that its not right to read path and pronounce it all wrong, so i wanna learn pronouciation properly.

It's really odd cos I have such i love for Sikhi yet i can't do path! I want to learn so much thats its sometimes overwelming (at the same time I'm a lazy git as well).

Does any1 have any tips on where i should start? My parents are helping me but I just wanna make sure i'm learnig correctly.

I hope i don't sound selfish in this message as it isn't this isn't the first time i have asked for help on a matter concerning Sikhi.

Forgive me if I've said anything out of hand.

    Hey guys,

I wanna but a web cam but dont know the 1st thing about them! I looked on net but not much info on them other than their specs (and I don't understand the specs much).

Does any1 know which ones are decent and what i decent frame rate would be on them?

Is it worth getting one with a bulit in microphone?

I don't wanna spend huge bucks on it either!

Any1 with any knowledge of them please share!

    VJKK VJKF :D

  10. HEY GUYS,

I'm quite new here so i'm not sure if this subjest has already been touched upon.

I know very little about the Raag Maala (i'm not even sure if i have spelt it right).

Why do Akj's say its not gurbani? I've heard something about the reference to women, but it can be interpreted loads of ways (or can it?).

Could somebody explain both sides of the story to me. At the moment I have the opinion that it is Gurbani and that if it isn't gurbani then how can any1 say the rest of SGGS isn't either?

Again i know nothing compared to some of u guys so pardon me if I have said anything wrong or untoward. :P

  11. CHEERS GUYS.

yeah i'm trying to listen to as much raag kirtan as possible at the moment. Constatly listening to path and actively looking for a gursikh sangat around me. My area has a bad rep when it comes to gursikhs apaarentely, so hence "looking outside the box."

i been to a few akj Rehnsabhai's and they always get me going. The atmosphere is phat.

Anyone know when and where the summer camps are happening (and dont say the summer!!! lol!)

Oh yeah and how do i gat a pic on the left hand column where i have my name?

    VJKK VJKF

ps Saihajleen Kaur Khalsa assumed i was a bro! lol :P

  12. VJKK VJKF!

Brothers and sisters, I need help.

Maybe i'm being selfish by coming here and asking for this but I felt that, after reading some of the topics on the forums, this is the right sangat to ask.

I have been away at uni for a few years now and now that I'm back I seem to have "lost touch" with Sikhi in a big way. The pyar that I had for Sikhi before uni was amazing but now its seems to have lessened and I don't know why. I think I need to be "re-introduced." I've started to read up things and listen to path again but its gonna take a long time for me to get on track.

I was hoping I could get some help from the anyone on the forum. The love is starting to flood back but the knowledge isn't there.

    VJKK VJKF!
