  1. ummmmm not to be rude and not to be out of place, but i think you need to take it easy, we r all brothers and sisters in this forum (I HOPE) and we all are just joking around with everyone, no need to get so mad over a lil small comment, so lets forget this all happened.....and lets all just stop being mean to each other.....

ohhh another one of my observations...i have been here a couple days or more and seen that you guys all have temper issues...this forum is like the i am pissed forum....don't come near me or i'll take my anger out on you......jeeze...everyone needs to take a chill pill

  2. i dunno, this is a serious question and since everyone basiclly tore my posts to shreds evaluating every word i said i can only say that do what you think is right and well thats messed up advice...i dunno i knew a girl who dyed her hair which she kept and took amrit a year or two later, the color was still there but not very obvious, anyway, she never did it again and i guess tha could help you in a way, but i should also tell you if i knew the way i think i did, then when she dyed her hair she did not have any intention on taking amrit....so i believe...

if i said anything wrong please forgive me.......

  3. this pressure on the girls thing is not all because of pressure its also becasue there are toooooooooooooo many people who cut there hair so obviously their kids won't either......Texas isn't a place where you find many girls especially with long hair like mine...its just weird cuz me and my sisters are like the only ones who keep all there hair with out trimming and all that stuff....so its not all the pressure....

maybe i should edit my first post, i feel like evryone read it wrong or maybe i exlplained it wrong......hmmmmmmmm

  4. Agree with Amardeep Singh jee

it is NOT acceptable to remove hair

    it is NOT acceptable.

JSB veer yes U r right

no1 can claim they were not hurt!

you are right however it needs to be rememberd that we need to keep the Sikhi spirit!

I mean Jus look at our Chotey Sahib jade!

    bhull chukk maaf

    GurFateh

I never said whether it was right or wrong or anything, i was just saying that some people think it is ok which is totally against what i believe in because its our gift from Guru Ji and we should keep it.....no doubt about it keeping your hair is a must...in my opinion....

  5. I agree with you sis..... I mean the whole reason girls stress about looking good, like wearing make up, short skirts, shaving, all this facial stuff, etc. is for men to look at them, and to be impressed, and i'm not against all the Singhs, but hello? where have you been can't you figure this out, i mean complement a girl once and a while, talk nice with them, don't me making fun, we girls get a lot a pressure and stress like this, and then they go to the extreme and get really sick like becoming anerexic, cuz a boy calls them fat....

anyway girls keeping facial hair shouldn't be a problem and well if you choose to remove its ok tooo, at least thats what i believe, I mean if you don't like it don't do ti, don't do something because they told you too.....

my sis took amrit, and it inspires me to also take amrit one day, but when i'm ready like i said before, its all about who you are and who you want to become, not what someone else wants to be or become....

ALL THE SIKH GIRLS OUT THERE YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL...IN EVERY SINGLE WAY....NO MATTER WHAT.....ok especially if you keep your hair...not to discriminate....lol...

sorry if i said something wrong....i'm just a bholi kuri....

  6. My cousin had food poisonning from the langer once. I think everyone of all ages should follow modern rules of Food Hygiene, i also think beards should be covered with some sort of net while preparing langer as well as serving langer.

ummmmm sorry i find that funny...i mean why wear a net...if you think about the way that the did it in Guru Ji's time did they put nets over there beards????

I think that they should put the bowl in front of the beard so that the beard doesn't get into the parsad...yea i dunno I just a kid but I like it better the way they did things in the past....like the whole tissue thing i realize its more convenient but how did they get all the oil off?

Did they just rub there hands or did they wash it with water or what???? These are questions I think about in Gurdwara...

And...what is up with rubbing your nose when you matha thek...I am sooo confused when people do that...cuz someone said it was to ask for forgiveness, and others said it was very disrespectful to do....so i dunno....ohhh and very sorry if I was tooo bold on a matter...please correct me if I said anything wrong....

  7. hmmmmmmmmmm......i haven't taken amrit yet....but my sister thinks i'm ready to take it on April 30th.....but i don't think i am....i wanted to take it a bit later, but i am trying to memorize all of the nitnem if u haven't already, and well when my sister took amrit i didn't treat her any differently then when she had not taken amrit....except for the fact that i was more proud of her and that she got to carry a kirpan around(childish I know) but yea...it's not like i would love her any less, and well people take amrit in their own views, my view is when i'm ready, people tell me its not about being ready it just about i dunno.......I guess that could answer bits and pieces fo your questions....in a way.....and yes i do plan on taking amrit, when i am mentally ready, whenever that may be....

  8. actually the thing is i was thinking something more like impressionist artwork......but hey this stuff is ok too....i guess i wasn't really clear...thanks for the help though everyone who answered.....ohhh except for Rupy because she never helps...hehehehehe...lol....jk
