lol ok im sorry for posting this...i felt anger yday so i dunno why i posted it.. freedom of speech..? i said freedom of speech is ok to a extent..but he streteched the limit..oh well,...

however...the play must have a balance of good and bad characters...if they r just showing gianis as druggies etc then i feel thats one sided biased view... before doing the play she should have researched into the religion too....

i think to judge the play one must at least see it..

i was tuned into talksport yesterday and they kept debating about this play

i understand how important freedom of speech is..

as a artist i myself would not want to limit what my work is about...on the other hand i wouldnt make something that would be likely 2 offend anybody....

i dont understand what the protestors achieved in smashing up theatre equipment though... anyways the play is not true we as sikhs have nothing to hide... this is not the first time that shots have been taken against sikhs....

i sometimes feel that the whole world is against me because ppl say stuff 2 me like im no good... after reading up on the gurujis... i decided that i want to know a lot about them.. whenever people used to say stuff 2 guruji what did they do.... if someone says stuff 2 me i get really upset and angry and my days goes bad...

so what did they do?

or which advice would they give to me in this situation because every1 hurts me and i question my existance because its no bad..

i dont know if this has been posted before it probably has but i was in the car and some lady was talking about a offensive sikh play on 5 live..

i then went on the internet and checked to see if it had been posted here.. apparantly some author who claims she is a sikh and if she is reading this know one thing U DO NOT BECOME SIKH JUST BY UR NAME... she wrote a play about some ppl in the sikh religion i cant even go into what she has wrote about it... once again its insulting our religion.

i live in the west midlands...how can someone expect me to get married to a girl who smokes, clubs, drinks and has had previous bf;s? i know they aint all like that but the majority are...and they speak and act like kaalia...im looking for family type girl...as for girls in india most of them marry passports....

if any1 asks why i came 2 this site i came because the world shut me out i suffered humiliation from the jatt community and they kept on saying stuff 2 me so i came on here to gain some insight into sikhi from proper sikhs.. and jeah...i talked to one of my buddies about my depression and guess what the stuff he came out with...he was a muslim dude and he asked me to convert....omg this is how the world is its so mean...

so where do u expect me to turn for help..

When people have difficult problems and reach out to others for help, many times those others do not know how to respond. So they say ''toughen up, stop feeling sorry for yourself'' etc. The Sikh community consists mostly of Indians, most of whom were raised in India. In India there is little understanding and acceptance of depression, even in the West there is stigma but much less. Don't worry about it, they deal with it in the way that they understand it.

It does sound like you may have a clinical depression. I suggest you speak with your doctor for some help. And don't worry about it, it's really not a ''bad'' thing. It happens to many people, is an illness, is curable, and is a stage in many people's lives which may even change their lives for the better.

I also suggest you search other sites for advice from sikhs given to previous ppl with a similar situation.

I too once felt a deep spiritual emptiness and everyday sadness. The only thing that cured it was regular amritvela and simran & bani in the amritvela.

Do paath, build yourself a regular routine and stick to it everyday. If you don't know how to pronounce it properly then listen to a recording. Bhai jarnail singh has a nice voice. Giani takhur singh's is very full of pyar. (download from gursikhijeevan.com).

Include a healthy diet and regular CARDIO exercise in your routine. Trust me, it is hard but it all does help. Talk to a good friend if you need to.
