Are you sure bro? So what does the Darwin theory say about humans? How did the first human form?

    Bhul chuk maaf

Yes I'm sure Humans evolved from a common ancestor of apes and primates, how they formed is still being investigated but one would assume its due to natural selection and evolution playing a part? the missing link is still being looked into.

Not true , their are religions like Jainism , core Budhism where there is no concept of god, then how can we say that all religions say this

There's much debate on whether Buddhism should be classed as a religion due to that very notion, although they don't believe in a god they do believe breaking free from creation. Sort of similar to how many other religions perceive enlightenment.

  3. What exactly is the Sikh view on the Greek Gods, as far as im aware I can't find an record of them in Gurbani. Were similar being to the Hindu gods and so on?

I have a very personal reason for asking so apologizes if this has been discussed to death.

You are totally right. Five years ago I was against getting married. I wanted to dedicate my life to bhagti. Five years later I'm engaged. A persons mindset changes a lot in a few years.

Bro how old are you if you don't mind me asking.

Bro, how did she save him?

    Bhul chuk maaf

She asked help from 2 beings in a higher plan to come and combat the entity which had held over him. 2 of them came to his aid and sorted him out, Apparently while under the influence of the entity he was extremely violent, moody and really a pain in general. All changed once she sorted him out. Since then he's gone back to his normal self, all happy and chirpy, He's a really swell guy so I was naturally worried about him.

  6. I've personally seen the power of these so called dark energies and how they affect people. Satkirin is totally right, they are attracted to negativity and negative emotions can cause them. I have a friend (a goree) who's actually been gifted with better sight than I, Had a chat with her and she saved one of my friends from a danger that was about to cause him to go insane.

  7.  Amrit destroys all Castes, all Amritdhari are casteless, if you are going to be proud of anything, be proud you have Mata Sahib Kaur as a Mother and Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj as a father. Be proud your brother Baba Deep Singh Ji fought decapitated against an overwhelming army, be proud that your sister Mata Bhag Kaur Ji who rallied troops and brought them back into the fold of Sikhi.

Those are what we should be proud of.

Paaji, it does not have to be 2 Paaths daily. You can do as much as you desire in a day or do nothing. As long as you complete 50 Paths in total, from one Pooranmashi to the next one, it should be fine.

    Bhul chuk maaf

Any other parts of the Maryada I should be aware about? I already include Sukhmani Sahib within my nitnem, doing an extra one certainly wont hurt.

Sangat jee, please read about this amazing opportunity, which has been given to us by Srimaan Sant Baba Nand Singh jee Maharaaj Kalrenwale. This can be done, pooranmashi (full moon night) to pooranmashi.

Blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was supreme and He advised everyone to invoke that blessing by completing one path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a month in the following manner:

    • Complete recitation of the whole of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a month.
    • Complete 50 paths of Sri Sukhmani Sahib in a month; recite 2 paths of Sri Sukhmani Sahib daily.
    • Complete 250 paths of Jap Ji Sahib in a month; recite 10 paths of JapJi Sahib daily.
    • Complete 180 Malas (Rosary Mala of 108 beads) of Mool Mantra (from Ekonkar to Nanak Hosi Bhi Such) in a month; do six malas daily.
    • Complete 80 Malas daily of Gur Mantar 'Waheguru'; 20 Malas of Waheguru if the Nam is recited four times on each bead.
    • Complete 160 Malas daily of Ram (Nam); 40 Malas if Ram is recited four times on each bead
    • A Mohammedan was advised to practice and recite the name of Allah on each bead as above.

Note: This can also be done in partnerships. For example, one can do 3 malas (in case of Mool mantar jaap) and his parent/wife/sibling can do the remaining 3 malas. If three people split it, then it will only be 2 malas daily.

    Advantages:

    -  It can help discipline the mind, as it will be done on a daily basis (in case of Mool mantar and Gurmantar jaap).

    -  One will receive the phal (benefit) of one Sehaj Paath of SSGGSJ.

    -  Even an illiterate person like me, can do it (in case of Waheguru mantar jaap).

    -  One can do it at anytime and anywhere (in case of Mool mantar, Gurmantar jaap, etc).

    -  If split between two people, it will only take approximately 1 hr or so.

    Bumping this excellent topic.

What's the maryada on all this if you don't mind me asking. For example, If someone were to do 3 Sukhmani Sahib in 1 day but do 1 the next day.

    interesting.

I usually remember dreams when I am tossing around in bed which has been happening since I have been sleeping on a hard mattress recently. Apparently it is good in spiritual context ...sleeping on hard surface I mean...it is def easier to wake up since you dont have too much aalas.

so this morning i saw two men wearing white chole fighting with each other & displaying jealousy & anger.

also i saw a mahapurush who was giving updesh. wont name him since i wasnt too sure if it was him.

    Very interesting.

Happened to be before too, had Updesh from Sikhs who told me to go a certain event. I woke up confused, checked out the dates and found there was such an event.

  11. Had a weird dream here, so I'll bump it.

Happened after I went to bed after reciting Chandi Di Vaar (it was after sunrise not to worry), I dreamt I saw a massive festival or well a marching band (sort of like a Nagar Kirtan) with a massive statue of Durga. I watch it march towards Harmandir Sahib, then I end up inside Harmandir Sahib and im sitting (might have been standing, its a bit foggy now) and Suddenly wind is blowing everywhere inside.

Sri Satguru jee did not debunk the concept of Judgement day, but rather explained it correctly to the people of Abrahamic faiths. People have misunderstood the Prophets.

Gyani Kulwant Singh jee explained it beautifully in his katha, how Qiyamat (Judgement Day) fits into Gurmat.

    Bhul chuk maaf

Would you mind shedding some light on this please?

Nothing is more powerful than your paat in helping you in this situation.

Problem is people don't go to Gurbani quick enough, once your there and you still have some issues then its not "black magic" its Akaal getting rid of some nastiness in your life for you.

Even better reason to keep dream journal.

It raises your awareness while you are dreaming. By writing your dreams down it will create better memory of them. So the next time you dream, you might recognize yourself dreaming as the dream is going on. Becoming awake in the dream, will allow you to explore it.

Also you can do bhagti in your dreams, and access states you might not be able to access while still awake.

But for that to happen you have to become aware in your dreams somehow.

I have just the perfect empty book too, i'll start tonight :) thanks bhaji, its about 4am here so I'll go do my banis then sleep.

It's a hypothesis but it could be that you are experiencing the three gunas at high levels. If everything else is constant, diet, sleep, exercise, health, etc then you might be experiencing some kind of Rajas and Tamas states.

First you may have been experiencing Rajas, when you felt hot. Now you are experiencing Tamas, when you feel extremely lazy.

PS did you read this post?

Yeah I did, but in terms of my community I tend to keep away from them, they aren't bad people but I usually avoid large crowds as I find them irritatingly distracting. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has experienced these before hence why I asked here, I may be able to consult a GurSikh if I can get in touch with him and see what he says but until then...

Hence why I came here, the Sangat here is far more wise than I so I was hoping someone might shed some light on it.
