  1. Well, we can not dismiss his claims as simple as that. If anyone else also does possess the same copy then eyebrows should be raised. but i donot see anyone making the same claim with proof.

I am sure, there must be some kind of governing authourity, which can authenticate his claims of antiquity of the miniature... there are many techniques which can ascertain how old the article is... If this is indeed the only copy on this planet earth and that too more than 100 yrs old, then it is priceless, i must say. i think inderpal singh should get in touch with geniune collector of old antique pieces rather than banging his head in these forums, where most of us are youngsters with nothing much in our pockets...

  2. Okkkkkkkk. Take it easy !!

A muslim fellow said that according to Islam...

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab is not superior over a non Arab nor a non Arab is superior over an Arab; also a white is not superior over a black nor a black is superior over a white except by piety and good action."

We all stand equal. But a non believer is not the same as a believer...

    Ok !!

    I also reffered a Gurbani Verse ...

Avval Allah Noor Upaya, Kudrat Kae Sabb Bandae,

Aek Noor Tae Sab Jag Upjaeya, Kon Palae Ko Mandae ||

Now, one of my newly found friends in another forum described this concept like this... I am reproducing it in its entirity...

The verse quoted by sikhphiloosophy from Adi Guru Granth Sahib refers to the fact that we are all in essence bearers of what Goether would call "der goetliche Funken". As such when we came into existence we were all pure.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji explains in his Sukhmani Sahib that this world was created for the remembrance of the Divine. As souls wandering in this world our final aim is to return to the Divine (we come from God and we return to God). In order to do so dhikr/simran of the Divine is necessary: it is what defines our lives. We can either turn our faces towards the Divine (gurmukh/mu'min) or we can refuse to look in that direction and worship the world (manmukh/kafir).

In the Sikh perspective all those, irrespective of their religion, whose life has remembrance of the Divine as their qibla are gurmukhs/mu'min. Those who chose to refuse God's call of love (manmukh/kafir) create suffering for themselves.

Another way of interpreting this verse is to apply this to those beings who have emerged out of Allah's Nur i.e. prophets, imams, avatars, Gurus etc..

It is Sikh doctrine that all the Sikh Gurus are one jot/nur/light in ten bodies in the same way as the 14 Masumeen are one light manifested in 14 beings. It is then to be understood for Sikhs as a warning not to place any hierarchy between the 10 Gurus. For Shi'as this would mean that the 14 Masumeen should be viewed as such. But then again each one of the Gurus/Imams had a different function. That is precisely why one should not confuse the concepts of "sameness" and "equality".

Although, it makes sense to me but still i would like to hear your views...

    So, my query is...

Is a Gurmukh in Sikhism a Momin in Islam ?

Is a Manmukh in Sikhism a Kafir in Islam ?

Thence, Is a Gurmuch Superior to a Manmukh in the eyes of Allah or Waheguru...

Are these concepts really identical ?

Please keep the discussion clean. thanks.

    Best Regards

  3. The only true Islamic state only existed under the Holy Prophet (pbuh) amd Imam Ali (as). Only the 14 Masumeen are able to lead a truly Islamic government for they are pure and infaillible. Any other political leader is corrupt.

Dear Shaka Nyoroi, thanks for your answers...

    You said ...

Any other political leader is corrupt. Why ?

Why only the 14 Masumeen (pbuh) are able to lead a truly Islamic Government ?

What is pure and infalliable in this context ?

Is there any account of there writings around to be able to lead a truly Islamic Government ?

  4. True Muslims!!!

    Dear shaka nyorai,

I think you can answer my this simple question.

What makes a True Muslim and What Not ?? and What is a True Islamic State ? Is there any such state in this planet earth ? Please do not generalise or shoot back and ask what is true sikh etc... I am presently learning about philosophy of islam and thats my intension.

    Best Regards.

  5. You can go to a devout Christian and tell him on his face that Jesus is a liar and he will still behave in an examplary manner, will still call you a brother and debate with you with civility. You will almost never find that attitude or humility among todays Sikhs for we are too busy judging others and losing or heads over trivial and petty issues.

    Hi Jamuka :D,

For a change, I totally agree with your above part of your post but if you read your posts above, you would realise that you are resorting to personal attacks on members... so you are raising a valid in a post quoted above and in the same breath and same post you are nullifying its effect... if we have realised that humilty is the best way to earn friends then lets was show it in our posts...

I am really surprised to see how these self proclaimed freethinkers behave in general. They would regard any religion and philosophy in such a demeaning way that it makes me feel that freethinkers are only meant to ridicule or critise other faiths and philosophies.

In fact, criticising the faith of others has literally become a Religion for "freethinkers" and "free thinkers".

    Sorry for being offtopic
