  1. The photo states there are 4 persons of the name Sangat Singh. Younger brother of Bhai Jiwan Singh (bhai jaita ji) was also of the name Sangat Singh. He also got shaheed in Chamkaur war. So there are 5 Sangat Singhs.
  2. The photo is taken from the book 'Guru ke bete' by Jaswant Singh. His contact no. is +919814575196. Book can be bought at https://csjs.com/shop/guru-ke-bete-2/ https://www.sikhvirasat.ca/books/guru-ke-bete-book-by-jaswant-singh-sikhvirasat
  3. https://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/88485-5-types-of-sikhi-in-sau-sakhi/ @dalsingh101 Plz give ur opinion on these Delhi Sikhs. What type of Sikhs they were ?
  4. Bhai Jivan Singh ji (Bhai Jaita Ji) wrote an amazing Granth called 'Sri Gur Katha'. He writes that after the Shaheedi of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, no sikh in Delhi tried to pick and do sanskaar of the head and body of Guru Sahib. Out of the fear of Mughal govt., Delhi Sikhs called themselves Raam bhagats (Hindus). The photo is taken from the book 'Guru ke bete' by Jaswant Singh. His contact no. is +919814575196. Book can be bought at https://csjs.com/shop/guru-ke-bete-2/ https://www.sikhvirasat.ca/books/guru-ke-bete-book-by-jaswant-singh-sikhvirasat7
  5. Some sources say Bhai Jivan Singh ji got shaheed near Sirsa river. But Ratan Singh bhangu says that Bhai Sahib was the last man who got shaheed during Chamkaur war.
  6. @dalsingh101 Above photo also has the text from Das Gur Katha of kavi kankan. Das gur katha is also called 'sankhep das gur katha'.
  7. Even Ratan Singh Bhangu in Prachin Panth parkash mentions that Bhai Jivan Singh ji was the last man fighting in the Burj in the Chamkaur Fortress. The photo is taken from the book 'Guru ke bete' by Jaswant Singh. His contact no. is +919814575196. 8. @dalsingh101 The above photo has the quote from Das Gur Katha. Nij kalgi sirr dayee sajaye.....
  9. If an amritdhari cuts hair, uses tobacco or has sex outside marriage, there will be drastic fall in his spiritual avastha and entire Sangat will be able to see this downfall. Most of the nihangs eat meat but still hv great spiritual lives. Many get up at 12 am for amritvela and sleep for just 3-4 hours. If meat was a bajjar kurehit, nihangs would not hv been able to live good spiritual lives.
  10. From my personal experience, when I read lots of Dasam bani especially Uggardanti, my body asks for meat. I just feel like doing jhatka with full force and liberate the poor animal from the cycle of reincarnation.
  11. I hv seen many nihangs do jhatka at the bhog of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib and Sarbloh Granth Sahib.
  12. Yes. Mostly nihangs are non vegetarians and do lots of brahm kavach.
  13. Gurbilas Patshahi Chhevein written in first half of 18th century also mentions Kalgi was given to Jivan Singh ji. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=610303299821719&id=100025261620965&sfnsn=wiwspmo
  14. Other sources mention Sangat Singh was given Kalgi during Chamkaur war. Das Gur Katha was written by Court poet of Dasmesh Pita. It's the earliest (oldest) account which mentions Kalgi was given to Bhai Jivan Singh ji (Bhai Jaita ji).
  15. There are many Gurbani pankitis which state that Gursikhs japp Naam and do bhagti and as a result Maya (wealth, money) becomes their servant.
  16. There is a beautiful Bani called karninama. It states in Khalsa Raj, mountains will give diamonds etc. https://www.sikhphilosophy.net/threads/karni-nama-and-raj-nama-the-sikh-book-of-prophecy.30035/ The Earth shall give food and the mountains shall give diamonds.Fruits of many kinds there shall be, upon the sight of the timeless. All shall recite VAHEGURU and achieve salvation
  17. I think I read in Bhai Rama Singh's book on Khalsa Raj. He says that in future Khalsa Raj people will work about 4-5 hours a day.
  18. The nihangs take Sukha during day time and remain cool. They do some farming or hunting or do the Seva given to them like langar Seva or taking care of horses. Nihangs work but not like modern humans who work like crazy to earn more money and buy/own more things. This world is like a dream and any day could be our last.
